I’ve been taking my dogs here since I wasn’t even old enough to pay and take care of my dogs. Since I was little I noticed they would come back shaking and timid but truly just thought dogs hated being groomed. My dad and one of my dogs died and I began to pay and take my eldest dog there (who I should point out is difficult). They always groomed him well and I noticed he’d be in a cage which was fine because again, I know my dogs behavior. Therefore, now as an adult with my additional Pomeranian, I take her there as well since they groom well and it’s easier to take her to the same groomer. They groomed her amazingly well up until a little under a year ago when I realized she was semi shaved and he said she was extremely matted. I understood because I am a first time mom who has a baby with high separation anxiety and was only a couple months old. Getting back into the groove of life with a baby, we took her back there a couple of months later and the grooming was taking longer than expected. So I called them and asked to see if everything was okay. And the owner, the male, said that they’d be ready soon and that she again was matted behind her ears. I told him that’s strange and he was getting snarky with me saying that I have to brush her. I told him I understand but with a baby I’m not able to brush her everyday. And he would cut me off and continue to reprimand me. I told him that last time she was shaved which could also be a factor in her matting (which if you know anything about poms, they CANNOT be shaved because of their double layered coat) and he said no, but I have pictures of what she looked like. My husband went to pick her up because I was home with the baby and I couldn’t confront him and show him the pictures. For this experience I will not bring her back. I understand that as a dog owner I should do better but if you’re a first time mom who’s baby has separation anxiety you will not understand how minimal time you actually have. HOWEVER, groomers should not judge a home. I would have paid even MORE money to have the time and effort put to her getting brushed because I fully understand the hard work it takes being that I groomed my dogs (3) and my family’s dog (1) in the past. Nonetheless, that was no way to address a situation nor talk to a customer NOR shave a dog without the owners permission. I would’ve just picked her up, saved my self money and done it myself if he didn’t want to put the effort. Unfortunately, they lost my business and I now have to find new groomers. If you’re around the area, Bark Fine is a small grooming business who takes their time with the dogs and do not believe in cages and I will be returning to them.I will add, that if her ears were matted why shave her entire body??**Below is the first picture after an amazing grooming with them. The second picture is the first time I noticed she was slightly shaved and the last one is this last time when they shaved her without my permission

I took my senior dog to this place and I love it. They were so gentle with my dog, and scheduling with them was great. All around helpful and kind, I am only ever coming here for pet grooming.10/10 recommend.

I have been taking my dog to Pet Spa for years. My dog is difficult. They have always done a nice job. When he was a puppy I needed to take him to the vet after a grooming because he would not stay still and injured both of his eyes. They claimed they had no insurance and I had a hefty vet bill. They gave him free haircuts to compensate. I continued taking him there because I did not blame them for his injury but his own behavior. On our last grooming, I was told he would be done around 12:00, lunchtime. I was in the area at 12:15, I called to see if he was done, there was no answer and I left a message. I stopped in about 12:30 to see if he was done. The man that works there started yelling at me that I was interrupting and that he was not ready. My dog was in a cage at this time. I agreed to come back. He continued to yell at me that I was interrupting and I should take my business elsewhere. He then handed me my dog and told me to leave. My dog was completely groomed. He refused my payment. Junka stood there quietly. I know my dog is a handful and I always appreciated the work they did. The gentleman’s behavior and anger was not called for.

My 1 year old schnoodle has severe anxiety and although he has never bite, snap or launched at anyone on the regular (he is a huge baby, the sweetest dog) — when it comes to trimming his nails, he is EXTREMELY anxious and tends to snap at strangers. It’s almost impossible to find a location who will take him due to his severe anxiety around his nails. This is my first experience taking him to this location and we were in and out in less than 15 mins with all his nails cut and only one accident!! This is a win in my book since he will NOT stay still and the staff here made this process soooooo quick and easy. Great first experience/impression. Will check back in after his second appt for bath+nails. He came home a happy camper too, no “hangover” anxiety!

I was going to petco on route 22. This pet spa was hands down a much better expirence. My dog looked great, smelled great and was less expensive then petco. Both my dogs will be going here from now on. Thanks pet spa!!

Our first visit for nail clipping. I really liked that one person held her and one person clipped her. Very friendly very quick and efficient . Reasonable pricing. I would recommend this groomer.
