Dr. Esrig and Bella were very very helpful and sweet during my visit for my baby. They were attentive and extremely informative with knowledge of what was going on with my cat. Dr. Esrig was able to help me with a treatment to see a difference in her injury. Bella was also twice as sweet and helpful! I'd definitely refer people here. Thank you for caring about the fur babies!

Dr Esrig and the staff treated my geriatric kitty with such respect and gentleness. I know that she is in great hands with this office. This is especially important to me because we “inherited” Bella - who was actually a patient of yours a long time ago - from my husband’s grandmother 11 years ago just before she passed away. Bella is the most important “gift” I’ve ever been given in my life, and I take it very seriously to keep her happy and well.

They charge very high prices and for this expensive price the doctor doesn’t want to do his job at all. we consulted a doctor about the fact that my second corgi has too thin paws for a 1.5 year old, and his face is also thin, but the «doctor» just said: “yes, I see his paws are too thin for a corgi, but I can’t do anything to do"!LOL are you a doctor or what? prescribe medications or prescribe some kind of nutrition plan, special other brand of food? advise at least something??? What kind of consultation do you get paid for? (I also have something to compare with, with my first corgi and I see that something strange is happening with my second corgi, he is too thin and I also measured the length of their paws - they are the same in length. 6.29 inches for both my corgis). Thank you "doctor" for your help!

Arlington Dog and Cat Hospital continues to be a professional and caring location for my 17 year old cat. I travel 45 minutes to her appointments, but it’s worth the time and effort. Dr. Hoey is amazing and the assistants and front desk workers know their job and are great with difficult felines !I recommend ADCH to anyone who desires compassionate and knowledgeable staff.Debra McD., Wanaque

I got my male kitten (1 years old) fixed here earlier this year. While doctors in my area were charging 1000+ for a neuter, Arlington was less than half the price, very accommodating and the attendants who took him were extremely thorough and answered all of my questions. I currently recommend them to all my friends and anyone who needs their pet fixed or taken care of.

I have been coming here for years. Wouldn’t trade you guys for anything!Dr Leary was awesome with our lab Julie who was diabetic. She lived to be ten years old. She was diagnosed at five years old. Most pets don’t have that much time. God bless Dr Leary and his incredible team!

Been to ADCH twice and I am upset at myself I’ve not been since way before. They have been very kind to me and my kind-of-difficult pet and very accommodating. Have always listened to my concerns and answered all the questions I had. The waiting time is none to minimal, the staff always very willing to help and welcoming, the doctors I’ve seen are very passionate and caring and I feel comfortable with them handling my fur baby. Thank you.

AMAZING!!!! I have been going to Arlington Dog & Cat Hospitals for many years for all of my pets. I have always thought I received good care for my pets, but recently my cat had some very alarming results and I have a whole new respect for this facility , its entire team, and Dr. Esrig. The front desk went into overdrive getting me quick appointments , caring for my cat . I must have called that Dr. a million times with questions. And she stayed calm, walked me through the process step by step and showed so much care and kindness. a few weeks later and my Miso is out of danger and I owe it all to this amazing group of people!! I will never leave and I cannot say thanks enough!

my dog Bailey, had eaten a rubber ball tennis to be exact and we didn’t know it at the time but we almost lost her three weeks going down the shore with her to an animal hospital where they said she was fine, but she was getting worse didn’t know why at the time brought it to Arlington, doctor was phenomenal did x-ray and a sonogram found out that she had something blocking her intestines did Surgery immediately, my doggie is fine now having the time of her life. This was back two years ago and the price was so reasonable I say go there people if anything wrong with your pet it looks like I have to go back with my new puppy looks like déjà vu all over again possible with eating rubber.

I can not say enough good things about Arlington Dog and Cat Hospital. I have never met a more committed, compassionate, empathetic, patient and amazing doctors and vet staff! I work in a hospital and I can’t even begin to tell you how much love I see this team give each of the animals that come through their doors. It’s like they know each one and their personalities. I’m always amazed and impressed. I myself am a mother of two and my boys are now are full grown adults so what do you do you get a puppy and it’s like having being a first time parent all over again! I call them for everything because I get so nervous with my new baby and they are patient and understanding with my questions and worry that I always feel at ease and never like I am being an inconvenience or being rushed. The service is the best as I really can’t get how well they know the personality of each animal that comes through their door! Your office is truly full of amazing people and I am thankful that I choose your team to care for my little girl ❤️ She also loves you love you guys too and knows when we are going as she actually gets excited to see everyone! Thank you so much for loving her just as much as I do!!!!

From a caring pet parent, please do not bring your fur baby here. I know this will be a long review, but I urge you to read the whole thing because my experience here was very concerning. My husband brought my cat, Boo, to Arlington three times since October of last year because she has been constantly throwing up. The first visit in October, the vet suggested that it was because of her eating habits since the vomiting seemed to happen whenever she'd go longer periods without eating. After doing everything we could to help her eat more consistently, we brought her back in January because she was still vomiting. They suggested we do a blood test, so we did. Needless to say, we never got the results back until our most recent visit a week ago. My husband called them three or four times to ask for the results, but the vet was always unavailable for whatever reason. Not only were we worried about our kitty, but the test was also pricey, so it felt like we just wasted our money. My husband brought her back in a week ago because she almost completely stopped eating. While he was there, he mentioned the blood results again, and the vet apparently pulled them up pretty quickly which made us wonder why it was so hard for them to send them in the first place (my husband even said he saw a note saying that they needed to call us about the results). They said her results were normal, and that she wasn't eating because she had mouth pain from built up tartar. From what my husband said, the vet barely even looked inside her mouth. They quoted us $1300 for a cleaning and tooth extraction and sent her home with pain medicine and an ointment to help with her appetite. I didn't even feel comfortable giving her the meds at first, though, because my husband mentioned that the vet had to ask someone else what dosage to give a cat of her size (5 lbs). Needless to say, I didn't trust their diagnosis and took her to a different vet the next day.At the new vet, within just 15 minutes, they were able to determine that she had an abnormal mass in her abdominal region. All he had to do was feel her body to find it, and he confirmed that it was there after doing a quick ultrasound and x-ray. He also thoroughly examined her mouth and said that, while she did have tartar buildup, there was no sign of gum inflammation or pain coming from that area. At the end of our visit, he recommended we see a specialist for the mass since it was possible that it would need to be surgically removed. The next morning, we took Boo to a specialist, and they found out that she had cancer (lymphoma) that had spread to most of her body. In additional to that, she was showing signs of early kidney failure based on her blood test and abnormal size. Since the cancer had already progressed so much, we had to make the difficult decision to put our baby to sleep yesterday morning, just three days after we found out about the mass.Due to the complete lack of care and concern on Arlington's end, our cat's passing was extremely sudden and shocking to us. Every time we brought her to Arlington, they said she was completely healthy and there was absolutely no sense of urgency to figure out the issue. Based on some of the good reviews I've seen here, I wanted to trust them, so I didn't question them at first. I know that if they had found her cancer back in October, Boo's fate and time of passing would've likely been the same. But had they given her the proper care she needed, we could've made this process more comfortable for her and maybe given her a little more time. Not only that, but we could've eased into this in a much less traumatizing way. With all this being said, I please ask that you do not bring your pet here, especially if they are sick. I really regret not going somewhere else from the beginning. Our cat deserved so much better, and I'm so angry at Arlington now that I know what was troubling her. Unfortunately for us, we had to find out at the very end that this vet was not trustworthy. If you want the best care for your fur baby, Arlington is not it.

No words can describe the love and care they have given my pup & soulmate Boris for 15 yrs. Everyone gave us so much. The staff, the doctors, Dr Esrig, loved Boris so much. Sadly Dec 12 Boris passed surrounded by those who loved him most at AD&CH. Thank you all so much, Love Marlene

We have been taking our pets here for some time now and I have to say the staff and vets care about them above all else. They are friendly and have a very quick response in moments of need. They are fairly price on all their procedures and don’t recommend things you don’t need just to grab your hard earned cash. They always tell you what’s actually needed and what would be recommended as time passes so you are aware and can make the best decision for your loved pet.I would absolutely recommend you to give them a try, as the time of writing this review one of my dogs it’s recovering from surgery performed there and she is in great’s spirits, fast recovery, no issues have presented and any questions I had were responded promptly by calling our their follow up staff which has also been great.

I filed a complaint against Arlington Dog and Cat Hospital with New Jersey State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners citing instances of false advertising, treatment without consent, and a lack of proper care for my pet, Yoshi. My recent experience with the hospital has been deeply troubling, and I believe it is essential to bring this matter to New Jersey State Division of Consumer Affairs attention for investigation and resolution. On October 3, 2023, my cat Yoshi was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection by another veterinarian and subsequently received treatment. However, concerns persisted, leading me to seek urgent care at Arlington Dog and Cat Hospital on October 9, 2023.During this visit, Dr. Rachel Esrig did not exhibit compassion or adequate care for Yoshi. Despite my concerns about a potential urinary blockage, Yoshi was quickly brought out after less than 20 minutes inside the office. No doctor spoke to me during or after the visit, and I was given a bill and medication without proper communication. The following day, Yoshi's condition worsened, and I reached out to the hospital to speak with Dr. Esrig. Contrary to her claims of attempting to contact me, I received no calls from the office on October 9 or October 10. Dr. Esrig insisted Yoshi was fine, but his deteriorating condition and subsequent passing within 10 hours after the visit suggest otherwise.I am deeply troubled by the lack of care provided by Dr. Esrig and Dr. Hoey. Despite my desire to end Yoshi's suffering, both veterinarians declined to assist, and Yoshi continued to suffer for an additional 10 hours before his passing.Furthermore, my attempts to address these concerns with Dr. Leary, the director of the hospital, have been met with unfulfilled promises of investigation and a lack of communication.

Dr Hoey and the staff are the best. They have been taking care of my Brittany's for over 10 years keeping them health and in great shape. All my questions are answered in a way that you understand.I recently had to send my 12 1/2 year old Brittany Remy over the Rainbow Bridge. They were so passionate and were so soothing and made it so peaceful. Thank you again..

This has been my bet for both my dog and cat for the past two years. I have had nothing but good experiences here. The staff is super kind, friendly, and my animals feel at easy with all of the techs and doctors. I boarded my cat Emmie here, and the staff was so cute telling me how much they enjoyed her friendly company. My puppy has been coming here since I got him, and also recently got neutered here. Despite the craziness that COVID wrought on the situation, the staff came up with the best situation to keep us and our animals safe with socially-distance drop off and pick up. His procedure went well and he was on his feet and back to normal in the same day. Overall, this is a great place to go if you’re looking for a service that is kind, friendly, reasonably priced, and trustworthy. Highly recommend this place!

My wife Diane is the one who brings Sherlock for his appointments. Her feelings about, how he is cared for, at this office is nothing short of being most excellent. The Doctors & Staff are always professional, courteous. friendly and very informative. She feels that our Boy is always in very capable hands. Sherlock is never not himself after his visits, which is for us, a deal breaker. We both feel very grateful for being afforded this Animal Hospital in our area.

My experience with Arlington Dog & Cat Hospital is 100% satisfactory; I was a nerve wreck even before taking my long hair chihuahua for the 1st time of her doggie years just a few days ago; not really knowing what was wrong physically with her; Arlington Hospital treated my dog with A+ care; love; and provided her "EXCEPTIONAL" care from start to end all while at the hospital; I recommend this hospital location to people just like myself that are very much attached and love their pets; Arlington Dog & Cat deserves all the reviews & stars for their "GENUINE" service from the minute you make a phone call; All STAFF @ Arlington approaches with care; attentiveness; professionalism; great followup phone calls & answered all my concerns & questions; Once comfort sat in I just knew this was the right place for my dog's surgery; it is now day 4 and my dog is doing great while still recovering in the comfort of our home; Doctor Leary is one of the best doggie surgeons I've ever met; He performed emergency surgery due to pyometra - Again, thank you Arlington Dog & Cat Hospital for making me happy and taking care of my dog *Baby* I highly recommend this hospital. Sincerely; Eileen

I have brought my 3 dogs to the practice as well as my daughter's St. Bernard. Dr. Lery and Dr. Hoey are exceptional with all breeds of dogs. I have had a positive experience consistently with every visit. The staff is supportive and understand; even when I am talking at length. They give you time to explain any concerns or ask questions. The price of services are reasonable and fair in comparison to some other vets who are more pricy.

I can’t rave enough about Arlington Dog and Cat. We’ve been “patients” since we rescued our beautiful dog and choosing this practice was the best thing we could have done. From easy appointment scheduling to well and sick visits, the doctors, techs, and staff are fantastic! Patricia even went out of her way for us with ordering pet supplies! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. All I’m waiting for is a boarding option 😉🙏.

I rescued a 10 month old Tuxedo cat back on Oct 2, 2022, no information was given. All those months I've been searching for a vet to check him out and neuter him and the million dollar question how is is he?Well from the first call I knew it was the perfect place for my baby. They understood what little I knew of him and what I've observed since I rescued him.Amazing I have been at ease since the first call. Now I have peace knowing that he received all the care he needed with compassion and love.Thank you to the Dr and all the staff they are the sweetest and professional. I give 1 million stars!!!!!!!

I am giving this a 2 star review because the staff is super friendly and super attentive whenever I call and need anything at all. So, kudos to you all, for having some type of compassion when your fur patients come in for visits and also unexpected emergencies. However, after reading all the reviews on this site, I can see I am not the only one who has recently been unhappy with the care that my dog has been receiving the past 2 times I or another family member have visited.I would like to preface this review by saying - it's not that I am unhappy with the care my dog has received by the actual vet, it's the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy that REALLY gets to me with the other vets/assistants filling in.In the beginning of July, I had an emergency with my dog and her original vet (Dr Hoey) was on vacation so I had to see the covering doctor. Needless to say, I had a very unpleasant experience with the covering vet who was pregnant at the time and promised myself that I wouldn't be returning to Arlington because of the experience that I had with her. *If you're looking for a distasteful, unsympathetic, uninterested rude vet - she's your girl. (I was going to leave a review then.. but then decided I didn't want to bad mouth the clinic that takes care of my dog and would give it another chance).Fast forward to this past weekend, my sister had been dog sitting for me and took my dog to the park. While they were there, my dog must have snagged her nail on a branch as she was running, causing her to rip the entire nail out of her socket. My dog, bleeding uncontrollably and in pain - my sister, panicking and frantic, took her to the nearest vet clinic, which was Arlington.Upon my sisters arrival, she mentioned to me that she must have went during lunch time hours (sorry for interrupting) and was almost treated as if she was bothering them to do their job.She also said they were discussing pricing with her as if she was going to just change her mind about getting my dog treated emergently. "well, since she doesn't have an appointment and it's during lunch time hours, it's going to be $160 just to get her seen" -- ok AND??!! - *I am in the medical field myself, and my office gets emergency walk ins all the time - the protocol for that is you stop eating your lunch and address the emergency.AND NOT TO MENTION - my sister had to wait in the waiting room and wasn't allowed in the room with my petrified dog which is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS. why is COVID protocol still in place? doesn't make any sense to me, and if I'm paying 300 dollars to get my dog treated, you're damn right I want to be in the same exam room as my dog. ($305 dollar bill for a $25 dollar job). From my understanding, I was informed that Arlington Dog and Cat was just recently bought out by a corporate company - which makes sense since they're all about the dollar and less about patient care. That was their last chance with me.
