The employees are always nice and helpful when needed! We once went in with our reactive foster dog and they opened up a front harness for us to try on him for sizing that they thought might help us and even put it on him despite us warning him he was reactive. Our foster dog was totally fine with him putting the harness on and the harness helped us so much!

It's a great store for all pets with supplies for not just cats and dogs but fish, turtles, reptiles, rabbits and more. The owner also knows his stuff and is very helpful with any problem that pet owners face.

Believe me, this little place has way more stuff to choose from than petsmart and petco, and even Chewy. They have the top quality brands like Rawz, Ziwi, etc, all within 3 foot steps to grab. You also don’t have to buy in bulk like with the online retailers. The price is just the same as the big chain stores. So easy and satisfying to shop here!!

Pretty expensive but large selection of common pet items. Tons of different foods and toys to choose from. They also have more specialty stuff like exotic animal products.I found a dog crate there for my dog but couldn’t commit to buying when I noticed it was listed in shop for $100, but selling online at around $35-40.Come here when you need something in a pinch or you’re buying lower priced things. For bigger stuff, maybe try haggling it down.

Best pet store in downtown JC by far. Huge selection of food, bones, treats, etc. My dog loves going in here and the prices aren’t much more expensive than your average pet store. Owners and store workers are always friendly and helpful.

Employee, owner, whoever it was was unfriendly and came off as having racist tenancies. Nice on the phone but unapproachable in person!!!🤨 However, my grandson, my daughter's FRENCHIE does love 😤 the comparable 2 ingredient real beef dog treats this shop stocks that she gets from Petco, Pet Smart or Whole Foods Paw and hopefully if I EVER have to go back which is probably the wicked idea💡, friendlier workers or nicer approachable owners come along so we can visit pet friendly pet shop in OUR community 🤨!!!

Loved that they had everything I was looking for, at reasonable prices, in spite of their downtown jersey city location. Such a relief to have a pet shop nearby that doesn't charge boutique prices and is BRIMMING with all that you need AND MORE USEFUL little Knicks knacks and goodies. The gentleman at the register is so helpful, cordial, and it was a pleasure to visit.

Amazing locally-owned store. They have a great selection, but will order for you anything that they don’t usually carry or have in stock. Better prices on my dog’s food than the big online stores (chewy, amazon, petco, etc)!! Also love that they also always have food and water out for dogs.

It's a friendly neighborhood pet store. They cater to dogs and cats, but they also serve up plenty for birds, reptiles, and rodents. The staff is knowledgeable, the prices are reasonable, the product selection is large, and the atmosphere is cozy.I've been shopping there for years; it's the best local pet shop.

Fussy friends is my local pet shop, so I shophere often as I have 2 pups and a cat. Although most items are overpriced, considering online competition, fussy friends has a pretty good variety and stock, so you’re likely to find what you need in a jiff. The service however is a bit sub-par, depending on who’s helping you. It seems as though only the general manager truly knows his product and will engage with almost every customer who walks in. I appreciate this as I work in retail as well. However, I’m greatly disappointed in some of my recent experiences at Fussy friends, especially considering how much my girlfriend and I have spent in this shop. I recently had an associate there argue with me about exchanging my items. He was simply rude and dismissive, which caught me off guard considering that he offered to help me twice while I was shopping and then denied me at the register. He was less than helpful, tempered, and audacious even to question my line of work, repeating that I didn’t understand where HE was coming from. When I tried to reason with him and ask his name to make our interaction more personable, he exclaimed, “NO, I’M NOT TELLING YOU MY NAME!” I was taking aback by his inhospitality, as when I see the GM, he is always so nice. I assumed his small staff would be as well. Although this associate ended up apologizing and executing the transaction after all, I am very uncomfortable spending my money here going forward. Delivering premium customer service is basics 101 and VERY important to me. I prefer to spend my money where me and my pets are valued, and the company’s motive is to cultivate a culture where their clients are satisfied and appreciated.

If you want to support local and get the highest quality pet supplies, look no further. Omar and his staff are the best. The prices on dry food and litter are a little higher than what you might pay at the big box stores, but it's all supporting a great shop. The wet food is pretty competitively priced. They also support local rescue groups by hosting adoption days, and there are always lovely cats in the shop looking for homes!

We've been going here a lot since we got our two kittens and this place is amazing. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to providing care to your pets. They never recommend products based upon price but instead on whats actually good for your pet. They also give you a free sample of treats or food with a purchase which is great for trying out new stuff for your pet. I

this place is one of my favorite pet shops in the area. they carry bocce’s bakery treats for my dog which is her favorite (and mine) because of its limited ingredients and they are also very reasonably priced and dont hike up their costs. i find them kind, and fair and i enjoy giving them business. my dog loves going in and im happy to have a spot i can bring her to shop with!

Walked a couple of miles in a heatwave to get there. The things we do for our pets. Stocked up on items for my dog and walked a couple of miles back.I must say the walking and sweating were worth it. Great owners and knowledgable caring staff. They have quality products. My first visit I was looking for something specific, and even though they carried the brand they did not have the exact product our dog likes. The owner offered to start carrying it.This is the type of small local stores that can make a community special.
