This is a review not on the service as they are currently not taking new patients.However more on the tone of front staff.I called and although the message at the start of the call says they are not accepting new patients I of course still wanted to confirm with the front desk as it was referred to us.The woman at the front desk was a bit snippy and felt the need to tell me “it is in our message when we call”.How helpful the front desk is can be the first impression for a business. I would suggest they work on being a bit friendlier.

I would like to start by saying any time I’ve called this place, the same woman that usually answers, is absolutely NASTY. She’s abruptly hung up on me on one occasion, she speaks to you in a dismissive and demeaning manner that I am absolutely blown away by. Never experienced anything like it at any other veterinary I’ve gone to. I called today and she was just as nasty and rude as she’s been in the past. Horrible way to conduct business and I’ll take my pets and my money elsewhere and will not be recommending this place to anyone that asks! It’s very sad because the rest of the staff/vet there have been wonderful. I highly doubt I’m the only one that’s experienced this, and I’ve also complained about her behavior years ago so they must be ok with her treating their clients this way since absolutely nothing has changed.

Excellent support staff coordinates appointments and pet care with their compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced veterinary staff. I can not recommend this practice enough. They have cared for our family (pet rats, cats, dogs, horses, sheep...) for at least one generation! Thank you to the Hopewell Veterinary family.

If I could give this vet office a million stars, I would. The caring, compassion and love these vets and staff have for animals is unmatched. So many vets to choose from. Ive been taking all my pets here and I will never switch. Always can get me in when my furbabies are sick or just need a check up. The staff has a very stressful job but still always have a smile on their face. No other vet will ever compare to HVG. Their prices are more than reasonable. Unfortunately they aren't taking new clients but they have their hands full already.

I have been with Hopewell from the beginning..even though I now live in Pa I still travel there with all my pets for all their needs. A special acknowledgment to Dr Hostetter who has done an amazing job since he began . A fabulous place with truly caring and dedicated staff!!!

If you're looking for a vet,you have to go here, you won't look any further. The whole staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There the best around and worth the ride to see them. If I could give a ten star review it would be here.

It broke my heart to have to put my pitbull down a few weeks ago. There were alternatives, but the veterinarians they gave me the tacit nod that best thing to do for the animal was to put him down. It was just his time.I didn’t want to put him through Pain with surgeries etc. just have a few more weeks or a month with him. It wouldn’t have been fair to the dog.

Love this place. I have a puppy that I rescued around the holidays and I'm a single mom of four. This pup had a missing back leg and need help I did what could do until I had money and when he went I was so scared I couldn't afford to keep or help this pup. Well his leg was fine and the cost was $79.00 he got deworming his visit and meds. Trupper is doing well now we are just waiting to see how much it will be for a prosthetic leg on his next visit in a week.

My family has been bringing my cats here since I was 5 years old and got my first cat. Now, I'm almost 35 and I'm still bringing my cats here. The vets are really great and extremely knowledgeable. Besides that, the pricing is definitely lower or comparable to a lot of vets in the areaAlso, I worked here for a few years in high school so I'm very comfortable with bringing my pets here knowing they're in amazing hands

We have used Hopewell veterinary group for over 20 years.Most recently our daughter relocated to Manhattan. Her cat unexpectedly became ill so I drove up to Manhattan in rush-hour traffic and called Hopewell on the way down the turnpike. I shared what was going on and they told me to come right in. Unfortunately the cat had a terminal illness at 10 months old and had to be euthanized, but I deeply appreciated their quick response to a critical situation and their compassion at the end.

This team cares. That is half of what matters when treating my dog but also very skilled. They always find time for us when it is urgent. They take the time to explain both their finding and their care solutions at a level I can understand. I truly trust this practice and highly recommend them.

I had a good experience bringing my dog to get neutered. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because being that this was my first time going thru this surgery procedure, I would have hoped the drop off would of been better, more attentive, better to describe what was going to happen. I was a little stressed about the whole thing and drop off could of been much better handled. Pick up was much better. I was spoken to by the lead Vet who did the surgery and she was great! She explained everything that happened during surgery and thoroughly explained what to do and expect throughout the next couple days and weeks. I also received a head cone that I paid for that was for a much larger dog than my small dog. She couldn't even walk with it on. I ended up having to remove it and cut it down to correct size and use tape to keep it together. This shows that they didn't have the correct sizes in stock. Beyond some minor things I had a good experience and I would recommend this vet. I came here because of the great reviews it had and it seemed that they really care about your pets. I would hope they take care of the little things that matter that would make this a 5 star experience.

I went to pick up my cats ashes, asked the receptionist at the front desk for them. (young thin woman with piercings, gauges and dyed hair.) She told me she would meet me in the back towards the exit with Lily. When I got to the back, she wasn’t there and I was waiting for around 10 minutes wonder where tf my cats ashes are and what she’s doing with them, until another worker went and found her in a back room and asked her if she knew what I was doing there still. I overheard this. The second worker then came over to me and asked if I had been helped. I told her that I was waiting for my cats ashes. the second worker then went back to the first worker and said, did you get the ashes for her yet and she proceeded to tell her that they were already on the counter…(a random unlabeled bag across the room from me, how would I ever know it’s for me?). The second worker then came over to me and handed me the ashes and said I’m sorry , nobody told you that they were here. At least somebody there is doing their job.First lady had no problem collecting my payment and addressing that part, and then I did not see her again.Not a nice way to pick up my cats ashes and left be feeling bad about an already horrible experience. Thank you to the people and veterinarian workers who actually care about the work that they do, and realize how meaningful it can be. I get having bad days but that isn’t how you treat somebody coming into your veterinary practice, especially after losing their pet.

Excellent service and facilities. Doctors and staff are top notch and very agreeable to discussing treatment options. Not pushy with treatments which tells me they are aware of the clients as much as the patients. My review comes from having worked for my father's "competing" local vet clinic until he retired. Lots of great local veterinary options depending on the type of care you are looking for. Hopewell has been the solid tried and true that has appealed to the cost conscious clientele but they appear to have also stepped up the level of care in every area so I would say that image needs an update. Very busy clinic which I think speaks for itself.

Our family has been going to this vet for years now and the past few times the vet staff left a bad impression. Our 5 year old dog was having health issues for a few weeks before we brought her in for the first time to be checked. She was having symptoms of kidney failure the entire time with her symptoms, but none of the vets thought to check her blood work until the 3rd visit we brought her to in the matter of a months time. It took them three visits to even mention blood work which I think is ridiculous because we could have caught the issue the first visit and possibly managed her sooner or her levels could have been way lower. They kept saying “she’s too young to have kidney failure” which she was a young dog, but as vet you need to run the proper tests if the symptoms are there to make sure there is nothing serious. She ended up having stage 4 kidney failure by the 3rd vet visit. Dr. Smith basically said there was nothing he could do when he could have offered subq fluids at home, a special diet or supplements to help manage her problem, but he did none of that. They were not thorough with their care AT ALL until I pushed blood work the 3rd visit. We had no issue paying for blood work the first time but nobody mentioned it and they downplayed her symptoms and blood in her urine. I will be switching vets with our new adopted dog due to the bad experience. I will no longer be recommending this vet to anyone. Shame on the vets in this office

I can honestly say that I love everything about these people, from their treatment of you and your animal to the prices they charge. They are always very nice to both the clients and animals. My dog is very well known there not only because he is a very personable dog, but also because they take the time to make your animal feel comfortable. They are not heartless like so many other pet places. North Star was willing to let my dog die because I was going through a rough patch in my life and didn't have the money needed ( $2700 ) to help him. I just couldn't believe how heartless some places can be. They COULD save my dogs life, but money is more important then saving a dogs life, and they weren't flexible in a payment plan either. Thank God I have good family who lent me the money. Hopewell Veterinary Group charges what is needed without the crazy prices you are expected to pay elsewhere. Their main concern is your animal, how it should he everywhere. I can not say enough about how great these people are, from the receptionists to the veterinarian's themselves,, they are all great peopleIf you can, call to set up an account with them because they are at capacity with patients and can only take NEW patients when there is room. It says a lot when there is a waiting list to join an animal clinic

Took my 2 kitties for some issues they were having. Dr. Navara was wonderful! She took the time to thoroughly examine both cats and explained everything she was doing to us. We did not feel rushed at all, and she was so nice! Thank you Dr. Navarra for your kind and thorough service!

We took our cat to Hopewell Vet Group today with an injured eye. Her third eyelid was hanging out in pieces. First of all, stepping into the office we felt the loving and welcoming atmosphere right away. Then Dr. Navara did a miracle job on our cat's eye. She nicely informed us about the steps she needed to do. She gave comfort to the cat. Additionally she discovered a problem on one of the feet of the cat and she corrected it. Everyone did their job with a good energy even it was the end of the day. They definitely love animals. Altogether we are very satisfied with the service and the fee.

I have been coming to Hopewell Vet for the past 8+ years and was familiar with them prior from family friends. I can honestly say they have always been there for my family at anytime. Dr. Glogau and staff went above and beyond today to help me with my dog who had a bad allergy flare up. Her kindness, knowledge and compassion really left an impact on me today. Thank you for all you guys do!

Dr. Hostetter and his team operate a great veterinary practice. On our most recent visit, our 18 year-old rescue dog needed some dental work. Not only was he expertly diagnosed and treated, but his human companions were also shown great care. Patient is happy and healthy and we are too.
