Wow, this shoprite is extremely well organized and super clean. Friendly staff and management as well. The store is split into various aisles compared to other general supermarkets with long aisles. I visited here out of convenience after hiking in Stanhope and needed a few items. I'll likely be back in the near future if needed.

Picked up today with online ordering. Excellent service. On time. Just waited in my car and the order was brought out and loaded up in my trunk. Contactless.Update 10/12021: This ShopRite store used to be my favorite ShopRite store in the area. Now when I come on a regular basis, I find that a lot of the shelves are empty. The produce section in particular is not well stocked. It used to have the best produce in the area but now the ShopRite of Mansfield in Hackettstown New Jersey usually tops the Byram store by far.Update 2/19/2024: The store is back to first class. Well stocked. Fresh produce.

Not big on writing reviews BUT this one needs to be said. There is a woman who works there I’m pretty sure her name is Maureen. She is so sweet and kind to everyone in the store. She literally makes the worst shoprite trips feel like It didn’t happen on your way out. I’ve seen her go out of her way to make people feel welcomed in the store. I just want the managers/higher ups of shoprite to know how lucky they are to have her working there.

Sad to say but their produce is not always fresh and a lot of it has no prices and you are shocked at the price when you get to check out. Also, I advise that you weigh your meat purchases. I purchased a “3” pound package of ground beef. When I got home I pulled out my scale so I could split it up into 2 - 1.5 pound packages. It only weighed 2 lbs. They shorted me a entire pound. I wonder how often that happens. Another unrelated supermarket was sued for that practice. Makes you wonder.

3 cashier's for a very busy store. No blame on the workers they do what they can. Also not really saving money take out is the same price or even cheaper if you take your own time into consideration

I shop at this ShopRite regularly. When I went to the bakery and asked if they could write happy birthday on a cake for me, they said yes. When the cake was handed to me, there clearly was a mistake made and there was missing icing and smudge red frosting. I gave the cake back to the bakery department and asked if they could fix what they had messed up and either cover it with some thing just so you don’t see the smear marks and the missing icing. The gentlemen behind the counter gave me this cake. You can still see where it is messed up and thought this quality was OK enough to leave the bakery. I proceeded to customer service where they gave me five dollars off my purchase, but if the people working in the bakery are not confident in their cake writing ability I would prefer to be told there was nobody available at the moment to write anything on a bakery item that is being purchased.

In the Hunt for NJs best Boston Cream donut and have to say that Shop Rite Bakery of Byram has to be considered in the top 5. This old school donut was a monster and for only 69 cents, you not only get a great donut, but great value. This donut was so fresh and full of chocolate and cream, just like you want out of a great Boston Cream. So good, I had to eat 2 on the spot. Great Job Shop Rite Bakery.

I had a little incident at the register today that the cashier bought to my attention. He had blue (thicklooked like paint)all over his hands and didn’t know where it came from. He call d the girl from curtesy desk over so he could do wash it off. She apologized politely and said if I have any problems to call when I get home! Well I did., I tried to explain to Taylor who answered the phone and was clearly NOT interested in ANYTHING I said! He was so condescending and fresh., I asked him if I could please speak to a manager and he said that I was being rude😳(mind u I am there almost every day and have NEVER been rude to anyone)! I thought he hung up on me but a few minutes later Mke came on and I explained it all to me. He was very helpful and called me back with all the answers I was looking for. Thank you ShopRite and please retrain Tyler how to speak to people! SMH

Absolutely love this shop rite BUT I placed my first and last order with their bakery this past weekend. I ordered what I thought were simple cupcakes but I was unhappy with so many things about them. First I asked for them to be navy blue and white swirl, I have placed this same order every season with another shop rite so I knew what they were meant to look like, I knew the navy color wasn’t going to be exact but close enough but the color was a very light almost grayish blue. I then asked for silver edible glitter, I got gray flakes, then they were supposed to have soccer ball rings on them. The day I picked them up there were no soccer balls, when I asked them about it they Simple said they didn’t have them but placed the order for them, which they were an important part considering it was to end a soccer season, no one even called me to tell me my order couldn’t be completed how I ordered it. I then asked them to call another shop rite bakery to see if they had the rings, I ended up going to a separate shop rite to pick them up luckily but for that I could of just ordered them from a separate shop rite that could of provided what I needed. Lastly, the icing on them was 3x the height of the cupcake, I have never seen anything like it, it was extremely messy and hard to pass out, the icing was so tall it was falling off as I was taking them out. An order so very simple made so very wrong.

This is the best supermarket in the area and the best ShopRite for miles Great selection, well run & a Dunkin’ donuts s at the entrance. Also a liquor store in the same mall. Overall, a great place to shop.

I went to shoprite in byram,nj today and it was GREAT to see cashiers at most of the registers.It was like a Thanksgiving miracle and loved not to pretend to be a cashier!Now if you could just do something about the price of groceries it would be great!

Hands down the best ShopRite in the area.. the meat department here is especially good. The butchers are phenomenal and provide the best cuts of steak anywhere around to be honest. ShopRite has gone downhill in many locations but this location is very strong and I drive out of my way to come here. Staff are all very vibrant and friendly as well. Easily the best ShopRite in the area. Parking situation is also decent. Its parking is elite compared to some of the other locations.. 5 stars. Great work Byram ShopRite, keep it up!!

Drove for 20 minutes to get to the store , got here a few minutes before close and needed to grab an item very quickly. Was confronted by store manager Dave who stopped us and told us we can’t go in, very rudely. I needed to pick up allergy medicine. Would have taken 1 minute, but was kicked out... I’m really shocked

I am so tired going into this supermarket and being treated badly by the staff. Today, all I asked was if something I had purchased was the correct price because it seemed a bit high. They directed me to customer service. I asked if they could find out if this price was correct, and they said no, they could not. I had to walk back to that department and find out for myself. It's not bad enough to be pushed around constantly by the shop at home crew but then to be forced to do your own price check. And everyone looks at you like you have two heads when you ask a question. I'm just really tired of it.

This was my 10 year old son's birthday present to his dad, a big Hobit fan. He saw it in the cake decoration book in the bakery at Byram Shoprite. It's meant for a full sheet cake & there's only 5 of us! I went and spoke to the cake decorator in Byram Shoprite and she was super nice and was able to do it on a 7" cake. Can't say enough how happy she made a 10-year olds birthday gift wish for his dad come true. I HIGHLY recommend the bakery department here. I've also had great experience in the deli department when they made a finger sandwhich platter for me in about 45 minutes. Just really nice staff here.

Just picked up groceries from ShopRite, and the guy that put him in the trunk did not walk up to the window, did not look at me at all. Put the stuff in the trunk and walk the way. Never even gave me the receipt. I went back to check the trunk and he had left the receipt there and just walked away. Parked in spot 6 at 4:40 p.m. on Friday, September 8th

This store is not as friendly or customer service oriented as other shoprite stores I have visited. I purchased a product, ener-g gluten free classic white bread and it was the worst gf bread I have ever tasted. My suggestion is that this store should not continue to offer this brand of gf products. They are terrible. Tasted like sand in my mouth and like stale bread ever though it was not stale.

Probably our only visit as we are from out of town but found it very pleasant.Store was very clean with lots of room for people to be socially distanced.They had a good selection of standard grocery items as well as prepared items like roasted chickens, seasoned salmon, chicken wings, etc.Checkout was very organized and had a person making sure that checkout was also socially distanced.Definitely worth driving 15 minutes for us.My only "ding" would be needing the quarter for the shopping cart as that is a high contact point which isn't necessary under current conditions.

The online pick up has gotten so bad. I used to do it and they were quick and efficient. The last time I waited for 50 minutes for my order. I stopped doing it for a few months. Today I tried as well. Only one person bringing groceries out. Another 35 min. While I can understand being short staffed during this time. Limit the number of order pick up per time frame. This is ridiculous. This is suppose to make things quicker for people.

Bakery selection was limited. Empty tables And staff behind the counter were too busy to realize i was waiting so I walked away . Sparta shot rite much better selection and staff were available to help.
