The people are polite. The lack of veterinary staff is extremely evident. I went in with an injured cat that is bleeding from the mouth but was turned away because they do not have the staff to handle veterinary visits. They recommended me to a full-service veterinarian. Obviously if I had money to take this animal to a full-service veterinarian I would not be coming to a low income service center.But they did tell me that if I receive Public Assistance that there may be some options for me. Let's see how quick the turnaround is for them to help me get this cat fixed up.*UPDATE*They did redeem themselves. They scheduled my cat for a Wednesday visit, he was seen within a reasonable amount of time. His prognosis isn't that good since he's an older cat, but he was giving two shots and a pedicure. Did they give me some assistance for cat food.Additional people need to volunteer to help with the influx of all the people that go to this place.There should be some veterinary doctors that volunteer once a week to provide additional services.

First, I must say the cost is very reasonable. Had my 🐶 neutered, and it was a success.I like how organized, polite, and the front desk staff greeted us.Also, they were on time with the scheduling of my 🐶 Teddie Behr.I recommend People For Animals 100%!

I cant rate how the vet treats animals here because I was never able to get my cat checked in here. The system here to get your pet checked for wellness is you have to check in online on certain days 9:30am on the dot. Then you can leave your home to get your pet seen when they notify you by text. The first time I went I wasn’t aware of this - they don’t pick up the phone and the website doesn’t have any of this information. So I tried going there anyway bc walk-in seemed available on certain days. The staff at front desk said the capacity is already full so my cat couldn’t be seen and to check in online at 9:30 on the dot. Got it. So the next week Thursday I tried checking in 9:29… unavailable. 9:30, unavailable. I checked constantly even after 9:30 and check-in was unavailable. Okay, i thought somehow people checked in earlier? So the next week Tuesday (today), I saw that checkin was available earlier than 9:30. It also had the option open for vaccine which is what she needed to be seen for. So as soon as i successfully checked in i drove 30 min to get there. But when i got there they said they were full. The lady at the front desk asked to see my text and said I should have checked in at 9:30, no earlier. Wellness visit checkins are done at 9:30. So i was rejected again. And i had to drive back paying tolls but cat not seen by vet.. very disappointing.

I reached out to make an appointment for my senior dog. I noticed loss in weight and small bumps in her tummy by nipples which is what I explained to PFA. I'm hoping to make an appointment to determine what exactly is wrong with her and this place pretty much tells me my dog needs surgery to remove the mass and they don't do at this location and there's nothing they can do and if still want to make an appointment. How do you know that if I didn't even come to your office yet? how did you come up with that based on the information I gave you without exanimating my pet? just TERRIBLE!

Service was great, however there is an older lady that works in the front that’s not so nice. She needs to learn to say Good morning, good afternoon be a little more personable. A little kindness goes a long way!!! Other than that the service was good and they treated my dog with care. Will be returning if need be.

My two puppies received their spay surgery earlier today. When one of my pups was crying in pain, we went straight back to see a vet. By that time (4pm), the doctors had left for home. So, we asked one of the receptionists for help, and she spoke w/ the vet techs. The vet techs had told Shania that my pup's crying and whimpering was normal due to her surgery. The two vet techs could have just came out and spoken to us. They just seemed eager to send us home. Not to mention the staff had initially prepared cat medication for one of my pups. I'd recommend this place for vaccines only.

We brought our 1.5 year old male dog here for his neutering surgery. We are very happy with the quality of care our pup received, as well as appreciative of the reasonable and affordable pricing. We dropped him off at 7am and came back to take him home at 3:30pm. While it is extremely busy in the morning with drop offs, the process is organized and efficient. This was my first time having a dog neutered so I had several questions to make sure my dog would receive the best care. The website is very informative, but it is difficult to reach anyone by phone. I was able to email my questions and the staff responded back to me, addressing every question in good detail. At the clinic, the staff also reviews all of the post-op care with you and takes their time to answer any other questions you may have. I felt reassured that my pup was in good hands. He healed well and is back to himself now. We would highly recommend PFA and want to thank their amazing staff!

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the loving and caring staff at this office. I brought in a rescue cat this past Saturday who was extremely nervous and one of the vet technicians took the time to help me with cleaning out hard carrier, as well as wiping and cleaning up the cat. I can't thank you all enough for your heart and service.

This clinic is amazing. They are well organized and seem to have things in order. I brought both my cats to get spayed and with vaccinations it cost about $350 for both cats. My regular vet quoted over $1000 each cat. They do a wonderful job. I had my dogs spayed there over 8 years ago and they were great back then which is why I took my cats there this time around. Such a minor procedure shouldn’t break the bank and everyone should have access to this service. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I have good and bad experience about PFA. Even though I think they do an amazing job keeping low cost services for the community. My dog had a huge mistake many years ago when she had surgery to get fixed, which at the time they never had an answer to what really happened to her.She came home with an eye infection, and incision 4 times bigger than the normal size incision for dogs her size at the time probably not even 5 pounds.She developed lots of health problems after that.I keep going back to PFA I take cats from the street, dogs and my own dog and cat there for wellness regular visits. Why no one ever answers the phone. Why records are not available online if you don't have human to answer the phone.

2/6/24 2:00pm.I called to confirm my spay/neuture appointment and was spoken to rudely by someone at the front desk. I was interrupted several times and the woman kept sighing and complaining how difficult it was to find the appointment even after I gave her all my information. Eventually she calmed down and found the appointment. Even though she was hostile I said thank you and I'm glad we could figure that out. She hung up right after. I understand we all have bad days but please don't take it out on people that just want to take care of their animals.

I do not understand how this place get five stars. The staff is Incompetent and couldn't handle my sweet docile golden retriever, accusing her of biting a technician so they wouldn't spay her. When I went back to pick her up the same technician was there laughing, I asked to see the bite mark and he said, "it was nothing, she sort of bit me". The one star I give is only because they gave my money back, that's all. I will pay more anywhere else but I'll never go back there.

Amazing and attentive staff who, genuinely, care about each and every critter that walks through the door. Also, they handled my Diamond with such care, dignity and respect when it was time to let her go. We, currently, take 6 doggos to them for routine care and they adore every single one. They are so nice and helpful. I brought a kitty that I found in the highway to be check out, even though we had to wait in line for a little, they helped very fast and usually the tests only take a few minutes. The only thing I would recommend is to park on the street and not in the parking lot. There is plenty of street LEGAL parking that people are missing out on because they try to shove them self in the little parking lot they have.

It's a pretty easy process. Though they allow one per animal per day. Idk if there's exceptions. Maybe get extra helpers.I thought it was more of a hassle than what it is. I wish had started sooner. Staff is kind and helpful & it's affordable. I'm very grateful for Pfa being available for the strays!! Thanks y'all!☺️ ❤️

They never answer the phone or voicemail messages. You have to physically go there to get an answer and the staff member I spoke to were rude and unresponsive when I inquired about the phone issues. Go somewhere else!

if i could give 0 STARS TO THIS PLACE I WOULD. I had taken my cat to this place on 1-17-24 for my cat to get spayed. I got a call from this place saying my cat had PASSED AWAY after they injected the anesthesia.. MY CAT WAS PERFECTLY FINE PRIOR TO THE SURGERY! When I went to see if it was actually her and didn’t have her mixed up they offered to pay to know what actually had happened to my cat because it “doesn’t happen often” I said yes and they told me to wait because they were gonna get the papers for me to see and so they can basically perform an autopsy to see what she has and what caused her death. I WAS WAITING THERE FOR SO LONG. not only did they take away my cats life but they wanted me waiting there like it was NOTHING. i waited for those papers for so long i was there with my mother. I was so heartbroken we left and left layla (my cat) with the them because i couldn’t do anything because they never came out with those papers for me to see or sign. I kept calling to see what can be done now since this place is a little far from my house and i’m unable to travel at the moment. what i’m trying to say is DONT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. It’s so devastating what they did to my poor layla I will miss her so much!

They have a great staff. They know what you're thinking before you do. They love your fur babies and they even know their names. The veterinarians are so knowledgeable and also tell you exactly what's going on and how to fix the problem and give you Solutions. ❤

The staff is super nice!!! They are keeping distance from the people so you will wait in the car until your baby is done. (Wich is amazing because you're safe while they help your pet) you have to go online when you arrive and check in the wait list. They call you later so you can bring your pet at the front door. Great service!
