The service was great! We had a wonderful server who kept us happy and fed the whole time. The food was good! We got calamari and Brussels sprouts as starters and they were great. For my entree, I got the salmon with the butternut squash puree and fresh vegetables. The salmon was delicious, but the vegetables were pretty under-seasoned.

My family and I went here for a drink and to watch a March madness game around 9:30pm on a Saturday night (restaurant closes at 11pm- says their website). The second 10pm hit, we felt so rushed out that it was almost extremely awkward. Staff began putting stools on the bar, shut the music off completely, and even shut off the stair light! I understand if the staff wants to leave, but if there is someone in the bar and your listed closing time says 11pm, you should extend a little bit of hospitality to a family watching a basketball game…… 😕 😬 Needless to say, we will not be returning to Atlantic House in the future…

Really good! They had a lot of gluten free options! We can’t wait to come back to try the calamari. They ran out the night we were there but we got the wings instead and they were really good. I got the fish tacos as my entree and my fiancé got the Birria sandwich, he said his was really good and mine was as well. There is a parking lot right behind the restaurant which was pretty full but we were able to get a spot. They have happy hour on the weekends as well as during the week. Can’t wait to come back!

Drinks are great. Get drinks hereAs an appetizer we got their big order of wings and the Mac and cheese…Don’t get the wings (small and brittle. Almost over cooked and def too small for the $15)Mac and cheese was bland…don’t get that either.Double burger was pretty good. I really enjoyed the bacon and ranch on the same burgerOne really cool thing this restaurant does is they give you a BUNCH of Brussels sprouts instead of fries if you ask. Fries are good but Brussels sprouts is yummy and healthy…One thing they could do better is not completely drown the Brussel sprouts in that spicy chili(?) sauce. My Bride and I Love this place. We both eat GF and the calamari is top notch. There is no way it has the right to be so tender. She had the pork chop with the mashed turnip. It was a really nice size, and she cleaned the plate. This time I had the fish tacos and they were even better than the GF fish and chips. Our one issue is that it is a wee bit loud.Dietary restrictions: Great GF options that are clearly marked. Thank you.

Food is amazing. However, they always seem very shortstaffed (with young seating and waiting staff) and rushing you from the table.I wanted to space out my app and dinner order (so I had time to digest). The waitress was pushy with me putting the order in and said they would wait to bring it out. They did not, dinner came out as soon as the app was done and my food sat there and got cold because I was not ready to eat it.Even with that experience, the food is amazing and will keep me coming - back for now.

We’ve been to Atlantic House a ton since they opened. Recently, it’s gone downhill quite a bit. Server kept disappearing while we sat with empty water and drink glasses, half the entrees came out five minutes after the initial entrees came out, portions have shrank, food runner knocked over a glass of wine, our group of five felt rushed off the table, cocktails were poorly balanced.AH used to have a bunch of vegan options, now they have nothing without modifying heavily— and the vegan special was the only special out of stock, at 6pm on a Saturday.It’s a bummer to see what this place has become. It used to be great.

Tacos always taste fresh and delicious. Those crispy Brussels sprouts with Maple Sriracha glaze, and coconut sweet potato puree are delicious and my martini hit the spot. Great service, welcoming bar (whenever that will be able to happen again, slightly industrial but warm interiors. Great spot, especially on taco Tuesdays.

An amazing local restaurant with delicious fresh takes on fish and drinks. Service was very good and helpful. Highly recommend the blistered shishito peppers which has the right amount of sea salt and fresh citrus taste. Loved the fish and chips with the dijonaisse plus my husband had the special of scallops from Cape May with crispy leeks and Brussels sprouts with bacon served on top of jalapeno and cheddar grits.

Was really excited to find a restaurant with a gluten free fryer!! Was able to have fried calamari and fried fish for the first time in about 10 years. Everything was very good and the waiter was friendly. Nice outdoor seating up top. Four stars because they just didn’t have enough staff for a busy Saturday in July.

This was a very pleasant end to the week. The Millennial Chum and I ended up here for a quasi-dinner last Friday night, at her recommendation. I've passed through Atlantic Highlands before (I think mostly en route to Sandy Hook), but this was my first time in the downtown area. We found street parking about a block or two away pretty quickly, and were immediately seated near the door upon entering despite not having a reservation (to be fair, it was more high-top, informal seating in the bar area, which tends to fill up after the interior dining area does, but still). Huge points in their favor - as we were being seated, the hostess gave us directions to the bathroom. That is literally the first time I've encountered that, and it's a great idea. I don't know why other places don't implement that immediately so you don't have customers awkwardly wandering around looking for it, momentarily distracting other staff for assistance.I wasn't too hungry, having accidentally eaten some heavy Mexican food earlier in the day, so we opted for nothing but apps - cheese curds, thai chili chicken wings and brussels sprouts. I concentrated almost exclusively on the curds, though i sampled one or two wings and thought they were fine (I'm not a huge wing person so don't rely too heavily on me in that regard - love eating meat off ribs, hate eating meat off wings). The curds were very good. I don't know that I've sampled a ton of them and honestly most were probably consumed at a Chili's, but like almost any bar app, it usually comes down to how heavy they are on the frying. These were fried perfectly, not overdone, and weren't greasy as a result. The Millennial Chum was perfectly content on the other side of the table, munching happily on the brussels. I've learned through time and experience that she can be pretty high maintenance when it comes to that particular appetizer, so if she's signing off on them, that's a solid endorsement.It seemed important to sample a naughty beverage to usher in the weekend, and I went with the strawberry mule. Delicious, and I ended up having a second one. Perfect mix of flavor with the zest of ginger beer. I really don't understand why mules aren't always flavored, but they can be dangerous. These were definitely on the boozier side, but thankfully I wasn't the one driving for a while. Also in a full circle moment? Despite basically toddling to the bathroom, I located it immediately with no assistance because we'd been given those directions. I really can't get over that and don't want to.We both really liked our waiter, who was very nice and attentive. I don't recall any service issues or long wait times for anything (though I find time can be a relative concept once you've consumed at least one strong cocktail). He kind of reminded me of Jamie from the Progressive commercials. And despite it being Friday evening down the shore with a solid crowd in there, the acoustics were excellent in the sense that we never had an issue hearing each other, etc. Very solid experience, and at the very least I'm coming back for a strawberry mule reunion.

We visited on a Saturday. After another restaurant gave us an 1hr wait for 12. This place sat us right away. Loved the high top seats. The food was very good & service was amazing. Very attentive, we werent waiting long for our food nor drinks. I'd definitely visit this place again.

Atlantic Highlands native, grew up with the Memphis pig out, wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! Started with the pretzel, fresh and delicious. Split fish tacos and wings. Fish tacos were delicious, you buy per the taco. Wings were awesome too! Smelt like bbq but tasted like buffalo. Only suggestion would be for the restaurant to supply wetnaps. Can't wait to go back

Went there with my cousins and their spouses and I had a great time. The food was unique in my opinion and it was tasty. I ordered the Scotch Egg for myself along with a gigantic shrimp (and the Fuller's London Pride beer). We shared the house kettle chips & wings, and another couple got the fish tacos (looked fabulous) & cheese board. I'm headed back later this week for round two :)

Outstanding place. Shared several apps and they were delicious. They came out really quick as well. Steak bites were first on the list well done and came with shallotes , fried onions bournaise sauce, blue cheese crumbles. We had them on the side and they were very accommodating. Next was the brussel sprouts. Delicious and a bit spicy. Went well with a couple of blue Moons. Finally the clam pot. Terrific and the sauce they came in made it even better.. highly recommend this place. Go get you some!!!!!

Best all around spot for dinner and drinks in AH!! Each and every member of the staff is friendly, pleasant and attentive. Great cocktail list and too many delicious menu items to name. Some of my favorites include the wings, steak bites, pot of clams, and smash burger!

4.5 stars out of 5. Lovely dining experience at this modern local eatery. Came on a Saturday night with my children & everyone was happy. My drink was probably one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time...summery & fresh. I would go back there just for the cocktail! The prices aren't cheap but the quality of the food & portion size are on par & the server was unpretentious & super nice. Would definitely recommend & thrilled to have this place within walking distance.

Overpriced food, horrible taste, 0 flavor, we had to wait a half hour to order our food, hostess had to wait our table because the person who was supposed to wait us was just not attentive at all and very rude. Got our food wrong twice. Waiter got an attitude when we told him about it. Hostess was really nice though and she made the experience a little better. Overall the absolute worst experience and food I’ve ever had in an establishment. If I could give 0 starts I would.

Delicious food! Great atmosphere! But I must complement the hostess, Z! She went above and beyond when we went in on a very busy Friday night without reservations. She kindly reconfirmed a reserved table, that we hoped we could get, then she accommodated us by the Christmas tree! She was so sweet! There are lots of restaurants to choose from, but to have a sweet, gracious host like Z, is what keeps us coming back! Thank you Z!
