GWLAH has been a godsend. My girl Daphne came to me late in her life, as an 8yo rescue. She was unspayed and therefore already prone to mammory tumors. The vets and vet techs took amazing care with her spay, and with all her subsequent surgeries. On our last 2 days together, they treated us both with such compassion and kindness. I couldn’t have asked for better for her in her final moments. They were so respectful of her fear and anxiety and of my devestation. I will never forget their compassion and commitment to us both, from the front desk staff to the vet - class acts all the way.

If you are in the West Milford area and god for bid anything ever happens to your puppy never make the mistake like my father and I did with going here. They treated us extremely poorly and during an emergency gave us no emotion and 0 love to our dog. Such a shame that you work at animal hospital and don’t have love for animals.

This review is based on my 2 visits. 12/21/23 and 1/5/2412/21-Phil is so knowledgeable and friendly, he made Vader feel comfortable and treated him like he was his own. Dr. Fiedorczyk is very kind and compassionate towards her patients, she explains everything in detail and even taught me some tricks to use on Vader while giving him medication. She takes the time and the care shows.1/5-tech Beth was excellent, she remained patient even though Vader was a terror to do bloodwork and nail trim.The girls at the reception are always friendly and always answer any questions when I am there or I call. Samantha and Susan are great and always provide me with what I need.We feel very lucky to have found a facility that truly cares for their patients.

Amazing facility I took both of my big dogs there to get there shots and check ups and the staff and doctor couldnt be accommodating and more helpful with everything from making sure of the access to get in around the other animals to making my dogs feel comfortable, very pleasant experience my wait time was around 20 min to get my dogs in to see the doctor and he did both my dogs in about 10 mins-and my dogs are big one is 72 pounds the other is 83 pounds.great place I highly recommend Greenwood lake animal shelter-and ps the bill doesn't break the bank very reasonable

I will never bring another pet here ever again. We brought our dog here a few years ago for a growth on her side. I was told by the vet it was a skin tag and nothing to worry about. Apparently that couldn’t have been farther from the truth. It turns out it was actually a tumor. It started to bleed on Tuesday 9/19/23 and when I called to bring her in they said there was no appointments available but she needed to be seen. They couldn’t even accommodate an emergency visit. As a result of their misdiagnosis …something that could have been taken care of years ago ended up being the reason we had to put her to sleep today.

Sadly, we recently had to put our dog to sleep. The kindness Dr Streng and Assistant Jessica showed our family was unbelievable. I can’t thank them enough helping our family through a difficult time. I have 2 young children and they went above and beyond to make sure we could all be with our beloved dog as she passed. Truly made a difference for our family. I would highly recommend Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital to anyone.

I have been coming to this vet for a long time and have always been happy with them until my most recent experience. I recently adopted a puppy and he tested positive for giardia. He began his second round of medication for it and it gave him severe diarrhea. I called the vet not once but twice on Saturday. Both times they told me they would tell me when the anti diarrhea medication was ready to be picked up. When I called a third time they were closed. No one ever called me back. Monday comes and I call the vet and my poor puppy is still having diarrhea even though we have been giving him chicken and rice all weekend. The receptionist tells me they won’t prescribe him anything else until they see him. She thought the situation was funny and literally laughed on the phone at me. I am absolutely blown away. I am so upset that this is how they handled this situation. I don’t understand why no one would have told me the side effects and what to expect from this medication in the first place. The medication was given three weeks apart I had plenty of time to bring him in for an exam in that time and he didn’t need to go through this. The fact that no one ever had the decency to call me back and explain this on Saturday is in excusable. I absolutely would have brought him in for an exam sooner if I knew the medication would have given him diarrhea or that they wouldn’t even treat him for the diarrhea the medication THEY gave him caused it. Also he did have an appointment for Wednesday because that’s when he was due for his first booster but I already found a new vet and will be canceling my appointment at this location. Absolutely horrible experience. I will be finding a new vet for my pets. Update: My husband was able to take a half day from work to take my puppy to the vet today after finally getting a call back from a technician after my review. He got the medication he needs and an exam. Several hours later I received a call from the vet. I was thinking it had to do with checking in on the health of my puppy but it was actually the vet tech asking me to remove my review. She had apologized for the office in our previous conversation. I just can not believe a tech called me to ask me to remove my review because management saw it. When I said I wouldn’t she said she wasn’t going to argue with me and hung up. I’m glad I was able to get the medication my puppy needs and can move on to a new veterinarian. This has been an awful experience.

I absolutely LOVE this animal hospital. I was new to the area and had just adopted a new puppy and all the doctors and the staff were always so helpful with any questions and scheduling appointments. One time my dog got a tick bite and I was not sure how to remove it one of the doctors saw me without a problem and didn't even charge for the visit. As far as the women up front they are my favorite I always have to come with two small kids and it's hard with a large dog so they are always so helpful and one of them actually helps me get the dog in the car. The best staff Ever. Thank you all!!!!!!

Never mind the dogs, someone really needs to put a muzzle on the woman who apparently works in billing at this animal hospital. The way I saw her treat a customer today who had a simple billing issue was appalling. She escalated the situation, and displayed the most unprofessional response to a rational complaint I’ve ever seen. I’m disgusted to say the least, and won’t ever return. Imagine how poorly they treat animals behind closed doors if this is how they treat people in their front office. Absolutely pathetic.

General Staff (receptionists)are knowledgeable, animal friendly, courteous, and get to know the pets and animal owners. The Dr's and their assistants are the best around. Animals love their experiences and never a problem visiting there- they look forward to it.

Last night I was at GWLAH. The doctor discovered that my cat, Bear was full of cancer and was struggling to breath. We decided it was best to have him put to sleep. The entire staff were beyond wonderful during that extremely difficult time.

Always courteous - great with our two dogs - never an issue. We moved here from another area vet simply because it was very difficult getting appointments at the other vet (they were great otherwise). Greenwood Lake has not disappointed once, even when it's for something as simple as needing copies of vaccinations because I'm scatterbrained and misplaced them. Yes, they are busy, but the wait is never very long. They also understand that I have a fearful dog and accomodate us almost immediately. Good with pets and people alike, highly recommend.

It was great first visit! Just recently purchased a puppy that had its ears cropped, but the breeder I got him from did a absolute horrific job of bandaging. The ears were infected within a day and half of me having the puppy. But, the service they provided to remedy the problem was top notch! Also, the receptionist took care of the puppy while I used a coat hanger to unlock my car after locking my keys in it! It was one of those days!!!

We found Dr. Louer after our dog as diagnosed with Addison's (he had a crisis and was diagnosed at Oradell Emergency Hospital). We wanted a veterinarian that was closer to home and Greenwood Lake Animal hospital was recommended. We could not be happier with the amazing staff and care our dog gets at this hospital! We go at least once a month because of the Addison's disease and every time we are met with smiling faces and knowledgeable staff. The hospital really is fantastic and so very reasonably priced! Highly recommend them if you're looking for wonderful veterinarians and staff to care for your furry family members!

Didn't take a lot of time to figure out what was wrong with my cat, I have found another vet who discovered her 4 diseases almost immediately and spent an hour running tests. The waiting room staff was very nice but more attention needs to be spent by the vet on diagnosing serious problems.

We came to GWLAH after receiving less than quality care at Banfield when our beloved Gunny was having heart problems- I wholeheartedly regret not coming here sooner. The staff at GWLAH was so helpful and kind in providing the best care for our baby Gunny. Everyone was so knowledgeable and truly cared. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Gunny as there is no cure for heart failure and his suffering was too great for his little body but I will never forget the amazing staff at GWLAH. If another pet is in our future, without a doubt GWLAH will be our care provider. Thank you everyone for your compassion and quality care.
