I used to love bringing my dog here for nail clipping, but I've been disappointed with recent changes. The prices have increased, and they no longer offer treats, which used to help calm my dog during the process. Without treats, my dog was anxious and wouldn't stay still, making it difficult for them to complete the nail clipping. Despite not being able to finish, I was still charged the full price. They do have a cool self service pet washing station though. Wish it was kept cleaner

I absolutely everything about the retail side of this store ! Because of this I brought my bulldog for her first ever grooming! She has separation anxiety from me & I truly trusted them and really wanted a break from doing it myself ! We just got home and she was rubbing her butt across the ground, when I checked they didn’t clean her tail pocket AT ALL. I got the all natural package since she’s allergic to so many things but it doesn’t even seem like they used shampoo since she still smells. Then with further inspection I paid for a “face scrub” to make sure her folds were throughly taken care of and they were all still dirty. My final straw was her chewing at her paws which she never does and they didn’t trim the paw pads even tho I paid for all the extras. I will say I know she can be a little difficult but Ive had so many dogs in the past and never had this experience anywhere. I really love the retail team and even the groomers were nice just disappointed in the overall service after paying $77.

great store for getting hay/food and treats for my guinea pig, but your staff is a bit off-putting. the last few times i've been there, i was well within store business hours, not too many items (i maybe have 3 things max usually), i try to be quick and simple, and i'm usually the one saying hello and asking how they are! often they say nothing to me, won't even bother responding, and just seem annoyed in general by my presence for shopping even though they're usually just huddled up front talking and laughing and don't seem busy - like i'm interrupting a group of friends at a high school! sometimes i feel like i'm just being made fun of and that shouldn't be the feeling i get at any store. it wasn't like this here before. it's disappointing because i prefer shopping here instead of the bigger pet stores, i'd hate for the staff and just the anxiety/bad vibes they give me to be the reason i no longer shop here.

This is the only pet store I will go to they have the best prices and they are the only store left that you can bag your own food. Best place to go !!! They even have the V.I.P pet clinic on weekends (please call to find out what weekend,as it’s not every weekend) they are amazing with my dog I have a 75lb pitbul, everyone loves her and she is happy to see everyone when she comes to the store with me! 🐶

I recently switched my autoships and primary pet supply purchasing to Pet Supplies Plus. Even recently purchased a ferret. This store, employees and management are so sweet and helpful. You feel more like an appreciated customer at a local family store than like you’re shopping in a corporate environment at other stores. They stand behind their products and always willing to help. They care so much about the live animals in their store. I love shopping here!Thank you for our new sleepy angel!

Great store! Always come here with my dogs for everything they need, they also hold a great v.i.p pet care that comes is a great bonus and your also able to bring your dog in the store with you which is amazing and the workers are always so nice i definitely recommend this pet store...

All of the staff is great !But a big shoutout and thank you to the grooming department . Friendly and patient my puppy is so hyper and has so much energy and they are so amazing with him ! Their job isn't easy so they really deserve compliments . They take their time washing him even with his jumping and excitement they get the job done and I have a dog that smells good . So thank you so much for making Bud comfortable and my mind is always at ease when he is in your hands !

Typically have a decent experience here for my dogs grooming. Recently my dog had injured her knee, I called to specifically ask if they would still be able to groom her with her injury and the girl on the phone explained as long as she can stand on her own (which she is more than capable of) and her vet said it’s okay, we can take her. Therefor I made an appointment to get her bath and nails done, brought her all the way to the store just for them to tell me they can’t take her because of her injury. The whole point of me calling to ask was so that I didn’t have to move her around needlessly. On top of that, the grooming lady with the dark curly hair laughed at me and my dog when I explained that she’s been injured for two months (since we’re taking a holistic approach). Very rude and inconsiderate overall.

First, I got an email offering a discount code. I ordered online and picked it up in store. However, after I entered the store, the staff came to tell me that they canceled my order because my discount code was not recognized. I question why others can use it but I can't. At this time, the staff member raised his voice and yelled at me, don't talk to me, please get out of here and stop this kind of stealing.I've never seen a store that doesn't treat customers like this. As an employee who came to consume, they started abusing me without even speaking. Ridiculous! ! ! I don't want to waste time on these low-level people, so I choose to turn around and leave.

I went to the Hazlet location to use the self- dog wash. The washing area was not kept clean or stocked. There was hair all over and water on the floors, walls, everywhere. There was a soaking wet towel left in the tub as well. It's clear they do not clean between uses. I asked for a short hair brush and they would not supply one... how can you bathe a dog properly without brushing them out? The employee I asked rolled his eyes at me and had a completely indifferent attitude, acting like I was bothering him by asking a question. The tub itself did not have adequate leashes to keep my dog safe, instead only had a very thin, soaking wet leash tied in a knot that I could barely slip over her head. The ramp leading up to the tub was broken and the floor was so wet she slipped getting out and could have injured herself. Additionally the tub itself had a metal grate, no soft padding for the dogs paws and was clearly causing discomfort in the short time my dog was in the tub. I ended up rushing the bath because it was very distressing for my dog and left without her being fully dry because her feet were bothering her. Honestly not a great experience and would much prefer to go to another location where they keep the wash area clean, stocked and the employees don't get annoyed when you ask for something simple. I will say the cashier at the front desk was very friendly but overall I will not be returning.

Prices are well above average, even in this 'new' economy. They're constantly out of stock of basic items, and what they do have in stock is in short supply. They've started carrying fewer and fewer major brands to make room for their private brand (which is the same price of major brands at other stores). I'm not sure what's going on, but it's not going well. Also, while nitpicky, they destroy the empty 24-pack cardboard can holders so that you can't use them to hold said cans.

Great place. The employees are all so friendly. The selection of food, treats, toys, and other pet stuff is great. They have baked treats and a place to fill a baggie with as much or little as you like. The also have a groomers area and a self wash. The self wash area is my favorite part, no more messy bathroom or worrying about clogging the drain plus it has a air dryer perfect for drying my dog quickly

Highly recommend home delivery for heavy bags of dog food!! Always tip your driver!!No issues in 1 year of using this subscription service. Can be cancelled at any time and the employees at Hazlet location are great!

My visit Saturday afternoon was the first time I had visited this store. It’s clean and well stocked. The employees are so kind, courteous and helpful. One employee, in particular, was very helpful and understanding when my dog had an accident. I wish I had made it a point to get his name. I will be back for pet supplies and will make it a point to mention this young gentleman to management.

The only issue I had was about the dog and cat food. The dry foods only were available in large bags....and I didn't need that much . To save time, I bought a large bag..but I didn't want to spend the money on that amount. The cat food section seems lacking in stock.

I love this place. Clean bathrooms, located by the grooming area. Clean store. An associate named Vanessa is always extremely helpful, knowledgeable and willing to assist. Every morning when I go into this place the animals for sale are being attended to and loved by various staff members. The ferrets are playful and well taken care of, the reptile cages are clean and the fish are well watched over. Huge selection of various items.They have a dog grooming facility that is wide open for people to watch. I think you can rent a place to bathe your dog too.The checkout team have always been polite and knowledgeable. A great experience.

I had a nice experience here yesterday that I wanted to share. After a longgg day out of Christmas shopping, and the usual Saturday errands , after the 5th to 6th store, I ended up here. I was picking up a large bag of dog food and an associate named Kev was beyond helpful with guiding me on the brand I was looking at, and enthusiastically helped carry it for me. Someone who advised her name was Emma, was just as engaging and concerned about me getting the bag to my car, and offering their assistance. Most important interaction I am writing about is their POSITIVE ATTITUDES. This was refreshing after dealing with so many people throughout the day that are clearly “tired of their job” , or maybe at that moment. Worth writing you guys a 5 star. If you have any kind of lizard and need advice on caring for them, go see Ken at this location. That kid knows his reptiles inside out!! I love this store. Every worker is super friendly and the environment is peaceful.

My rescue Sweet Pea just went by the other day to our Hazlet Pet Supplies Plus on Rt 35. She barked upon entering the front door announcing her presence. I wish I remembered each employee’s name because this is our favorite place to go. They showed us new sweet potato that are good for Sweet Pea’s belly but also delicious. This is her favorite place to go! Thank you for always being patient and kind to us!!!

I love this store. The selection is excellent—I keep both cats and invertebrates, so I need a lot of different supplies and they seem to have them in stock when the other pet stores don’t. The staff is awesome and so helpful!

Small store, but nice. Always clean. Staff always nice and smiling. Will price match any other store and online, too! Instead of waiting for shipping, you can get what you need right there at the same price. Their house brand dog food is even better than a couple of name brand bags, we buy it for the pooches all the time!
