Dr. Frezzo is phenomenal! We'd highly recommend her, especially if your travleing abroad with your pet. She has a great way about her for both pets and owners. We had to go to her yesterday in an emergency basis bc our plane was delayed which meant our tapeworm treatment for our dog was going to be out of date; so, we had to get another dose and have the paperwork updated to send to the UK to be approved for travel. She made time to see us and completed the paperwork like a pro. She also took the time to examine our dog and give recommendations on her care. If you ever need a caring vet who knows what she's doing, Dr. Frezzo is the vet for you and your pet!

I can't say enough amazing things about everyone in the office! Dr. Frezzo is so gentle and kind. She always takes times to explain her thoughts on treatment, discusses all of my options with me so I understand everything, and answers all of my questions. Every time we are there we are greeted with smiles (you can feel them from behind the masks)! Having senior pets is hard and having a vet that you can trust is so important. I feel so lucky to have found Dr Frezzo! She is certainly part of our pack now!!

Dr Frezzo and her staff were really amazing. They accepted taking our dog as a new patient when they were already double booked and the visit was really great. They were caring, detailed and professional. Best of all to my surprise they didn't break the bank trying to do procedures that were unnecessary and costly. We have a new vet now.

I want to share my own personal experience. I have taken my guinea pig here many times in the past. I would go in the room with her for her nail trim. Dr Frezzo and her staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I never had a problem and my guinea pig even became more comfortable with them each visit.I trust and will continue to to trust them with my pets.I encourage everyone who has been coming here and knows how good they are to write a review, and share their own personal experience.

Dr. Frezzo and staff were a part of my last dog’s life her last Four or five years of life. They were wonderful we had to put her to sleep. Talk to Fresno gave me all the options for Penelope and let us make a decision that was very very difficult. They were respectful and not judgmental at all. We’re getting ready to bring our new for baby to her that’ four or five years of life. They were wonderful we had to put her to sleep. My dog was having so many issues after we moved into our new apartment building. I reached out to a friend who recommended that I go see Dr. Frezzo and her staff at the Animal Hospital of Hasbrouck Heights. The staff there immediately made us feel at ease and Dr. Frezzo took such good care of my little nugget. He was so anxious and frightened to be at another Vet visit but they did everything to gain his trust and treat him. No other Vet that we had been to took the time to listen to my concerns the way Dr. Frezzo did. So now I drive 30 min from home just to get the best care for my fur baby. I’m so happy that her and here team are there for us no matter if it’s a routine visit or an emergency visit. Hands down the friendliest, professional and most responsive veterinary group around!

So sorry to see these negative reviews of late. Dr Frezzo & her staff were always helpful, professional and caring with my dog Molly. During quarantine I had to make the difficult decision to let her go and they accommodated us during a busy time, so she wouldn't have to suffer any longer. I was able to hold her in my arms until the very end. I recommend Dr Frezzo's hospital highly.

After hearing countless amazing reviews about Dr. Frezzo I decided this would be the place to bring my brand new baby shih tzu to. They took excellent care of my little guy and he was so comfortable with her and her staff. They truly went above and beyond to make sure his first time visit was safe and comfortable. So easy to make the appointment and she explained everything to me in detail while he was in the room. Watching his appointment thru a window was definitely a whole new experience but I’m glad to had to happen that way because I know she is taking the safety of patients and her staff with extra precautions and making sure everyone is safe!! Thank you Dr. Frezzo and thank you to her wonderful staff!

Here are the reasons I would highly discourage going to Dr. Frezzo. For your pet’s sake, please, I would normally never go to such lengths as I will, but the harm and distress to my pet and the anxiety she needlessly added to my life was enough motivation:• She discouraged several common treatment methods that ultimately dragged out the time my poor pet had to suffer through its illness. Her initial treatment recommendation did not even include a common oral medication, I had to convince her to prescribe it.• Most importantly, she gave me the wrong dosage for the oral medication, twice. We wasted weeks ineffectively treating my pet and dragging out the illness as it got worse and worse. The dosage she prescribed was a quarter of what it should have been. When there was no improvement, she moved on to her sales pitch for her MLM company.• Do not listen to Dr. Frezzo about her essential oils - when my pet was not showing signs of improvement she tried to sell me a doTerra product to apply topically that contains tea tree oil, which is poisonous. Do yourself a favor and research doTerra, it is a shady MLM that is only interested in convincing people that their essential oil (snake oil) “miracles” can replace actual medicine. And she claims she is on the board of doTerra - that’s what I call a conflict of interest.• She never once discussed putting my pet on an immune supplement. Which would have at the very least potentially helped and not caused any harm, unlike the essential oil poison she suggested.• She never brought up the importance of following a strict cleaning regiment to contain the spread of the zoonotic disease we were attempting to treat. When I asked the receptionist about it after doing my own research, her response was that it was unnecessary to go above and beyond the usual cleaning regiment that I was already doing in my home. After I insisted with the receptionist, she called over Dr. Frezzo who recommended a doTerra cleaning solution.• Above all, it disturbed me that Dr. Frezzo was ultimately more interested in setting me up with a doTerra wholesale account rather than discussing my pet’s treatment. She convinced me to schedule a call with her to talk more in depth about doTerra but not a single suggestion that would help my pet.• She uses a per diem replacement for her personal days, despite being closed two days out of the week (apparently now three days out of the week), and then conveniently acts like the visits with her replacement didn’t occur. There seems to be no communication between Dr. Frezzo and the person she uses as her replacement.• As a result, do not believe that you can rely on the friendly receptionists or the doctor herself to keep track of your pet’s records. I don’t know how many times I had to correct their information because they couldn’t be bothered to update records or medication dosages based on the weight changes established during the visits with the per diem doctor. It’s not acceptable that they continuously blame their faulty systems or how busy they are. It is not professional either for the doctor to blame her receptionists for mistakes that are her responsibility.• Do yourself a favor and request a prescription so you can save yourself paying four times the cost of the medication that you could simply buy on Chewy, that you would receive in the proper packaging which would inform you of the correct dosages. I wasted hundreds of dollars with Dr. Frezzo only to end up going to another vet.• Dr. Frezzo refused to return my calls when I requested an explanation for the miscalculation of the oral prescription. I waited days without a single call back.• Ever since I moved on to another vet my pet immediately started improving and it broke my heart that we wasted so much time thanks to Dr. Frezzo.

I needed an International Health Certificate so I could travel with my dog. Dr. Frezzo and Maiki, one of her members of staff, were incredibly helpful in getting the certificates approved and returned in time. There were issues with the USDA's website that made the process more time consuming and frustrating, but Dr. Frezzo and Maiki did all they could to try to resolve the issues. They were also patient with me when I kept calling in a panic. Also, more generally, I like that Dr. Frezzo meets all of her clients outside. With other practices, the vet tech usually collects the pet and you never see the vet. This is a much appreciated personal touch by Dr. Frezzo. This is the first time I used this vet but I'll be back even though the vet is not local to me.

The most professional and caring people I've ever dealt with. They called to confirm the appointment were so accommodating to our puppy when we got there. Explained all the procedures and medication at great length. Treated our puppy so well! And called us after we left to give us some follow up information. They are happy to answer any and all questions we had and have a wealth of information on their website. They also said we can call any time with questions. If you love your pet and won't settle for anything less than the best I highly recommend this is where you go

Don't let these bad people fool you. My girlfriend received an email for a "FREE Nail Trim..to any client that posts a positive review on social media". After reading reports of a dog who DIED from complications of recent nail trimming, we receive an email begging for a second chance from their customers. My girlfriend was taking her dog here for over 2 years. Very over priced. Last "check up" was over $500. Dr. Frezzo is attempting to cover up a horrible situation while continually over charging her customers. Very displeased and disappointed.

While the pandemic altered the logistics of our first appointment here it was a positive experience. My 12-year-old-cat had symptoms of a UTI (urinary tract infection) but other things would have to be ruled out. The staff from first contact was COMPASSIONATE; they found a time for her that day. They were up front about proposed tests, explaining the rationale for each and the cost. They kept me apprised of their progress, they continually asked if I had any questions. I felt that we were treated with respect and kindness at all times. Ultimately my cat was diagnosed with the UTI; Dr. Frezzo gave her an injection of long-acting antibiotic (not having to give a cat oral meds for 2 weeks!) and an oral NSAID which I add to her food for 5 days to keep her comfortable. The doctor called me that evening with the lab results and the staff called the next morning to see how she was and again- did I have any questions ? When this facility was being built, I passed it on the way to work and thought that I would consider using it in the future; now that I am retired I appreciate the fact that the fees are reasonable and that I am confident that my beloved cat is getting competent, compassionate treatment. Recommend highly!

At the hands of Dr Frezzo's Vet techs my Nina had her hip dislocated while getting her nails cut and ended up dieing 3 days later. The best offer of help under these circumstances was Dr Frezzo apology " Sorry for the Inconvenience " . Do I need to explain more why to never take your dog to Dr Frezzo.

It is awful people will come on here to slander an amazing animal hospital. Many of these reviews are from gullible people who have never even been there. We have two dogs that absolutely love Dr Frezo and everyone who works there. They receive excellent care and I wouldn’t trust our dogs with anyone else. I hope those false reviews are reported and remove because they are not a good representation of the service.

We have been seeing Dr. Frezzo for almost 15 years now. She has been nothing but professional, compassionate, and truly caring when it comes to the needs of our dog. We have never been pressured to pay for services that were unwarranted or unnecessary. The office staff is friendly and also is always willing to help with any questions or problems.

Dr Frezzo nickels and dimes her customers. Pushing everything on you, including things that are not necessary. After a procedure my dog had done there, she had her assistant call me and say he needed his shots. I told her before the teeth cleaning we agreed everything was in order. But no, she tries to get me for two more shots which she forgot she already told me were optional.Dr Frezzo also sends me home with vitamins for my dogs liver which she said his levels were a little high, and could be because of his inflamed gums.Ummm... why are you selling me vitamins that are $65 a bottle when we agreed to do follow up blood work in a few weeks first? This woman is flakey and talks really fast, and ends every sentence with "Okay?". When I told her I wanted my money back for the vitamins which were still sealed, she refused. Then she changed her tune and said my dogs liver levels were high and she wanted him to get better right away which is why she sold them to me. Not true. How would we know for sure if we don't test prior??? I got a second opinion and faxed over the reports and the Vet at Oradell Animal Hospital confirmed they were a little high and said Dr. Frezzo didn't handle things correctly. I understand she has a new office that needs to be paid for, but don't rob your customers. It is not a good way to do business.

The office is clean and the staff is always nice and helpful, however I didn't like the fact that Dr. Frezzo is trying to convince You to buy unnecessary things and perform unnecessary tests on pets. They even charge nail clipping during check up(!!$18!!) , which is normally included if You go anywhere else. Even my pets didn't like her.

I called in desperation this afternoon because I am going to the Dominican Republic in 2 weeks and I am taking my cat with me. I moved recently and have not yet picked a vet. I googled vets near me and this was third down the line. Vicki, who I spoke with was incredibly courteous, understanding and extremely helpful. She was able to give me an appointment within the time frame and calmed me down. I am looking foward to my visit, to meet Vicki and the Doctor in a couple of weeks!

Dr. Mia Frezzo is the Best Veterinarian I have ever been lucky to know and have the privilege to get to visit with my Bull Terrier Puppy Thor @thor.thebullterrierDr. Frizzo is very friendly, honest and ultimately so loving to all pets to my witness with dozens of cats and dogs. 5 stars simply isn't enough for Dr. Frezzo and her team! The amount of care and dedication to her patients is unmatched, this entire hospital is such a great environment for both the pets and owners. My dog Shorty and myself are so happy we found this facility, any pet parents in the area should 100% come to Dr. Frezzo and see this immaculate hospital. Anyone who has actually been there will tell you how amazing everyone there is!Please ignore the poor reviews you are reading. The unfortunate recent incident with someone’s dog was not caused by the vet or the staff, the dog was already injured when brought to the vet.

Had a horrible experience here and now as I read the reviews, it makes perfect sense. If you love your babies, bring them somewhere where the vet and techs are at least kind, compassionate, and gentle with your pets. We pay too much money for these visits and expect the bare minimum. You will not get any of the above from this establishment.
