The worst ShopRite around! It’s not just this one either they’re all terribly bad with the self checkout sections, and the workers working the self checkout think they are god himself. Don’t use the self checkout if u have more than 10 items they will hound you to not use certain aisles or to put the items in the tiny little bagging area that can fit 2 milk gallons max, and DONT ever think about clicking skip bagging they have such an issue with that. And who knew the aisles for the self checkout are for specific things which btw have no signs to indicate that, you go there and immediately get told to move. I don’t mind self checkout at all like at all actually I prefer it since I’d much rather not deal with people however shoprites machines and the people working the self checkouts are just unbearable. There is ZERO reason to pester someone using the self checkouts unless they ask you for something. They need to just leave people ALONE. Every time I come here it’s an issue it’s like they wanna pick a fight and for ZERO reason it’s so fricking annoying I just wanna be in and out and I can’t because I get hounded. The Walmart across the street doesn’t bother you at all in the self checkout and yet here it’s always an issue. If the self checkout is that big of an issue and people aren’t using it to YOUR liking just take it away and open the regular registers. And to the workers who hound people at self checkout I guarantee you the people using them know what they’re doing those machines are everywhere. PLEASE LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE.

Changing the self checkout to twenty items or less is ridiculous. Even the lanes with the belts. At least keep them open for shoppers who prefer self checkout with more than 20 items. It will be less convenient but Berlin ShopRite will probably be my new go to store.What would be the point of responding to an autogenerated response. Besides, what more information do you need? Leave some self checkout lines open for more than 20 items!!!I now understand why people are so unhappy with this ShopRite. If it wasn’t for convenience, because of where Hammonton is located to other supermarkets, you would not be as busy as you are.

Friendly staff, nice store layout. I'm not sure if everyone knows this about the shop express. I love this!! I order deli items before going to the store, saves the wait time is ready when I get there.

ShopRite was the worst place to work for they use you during holidays and then cut your hours. Then if you complain the lie and come up with things that you didn't do to get rid of you. Most things you can buy at a gas station or Wawa for practically the same price. A half gallon of chocolate milk at Wawa is cheaper.

Update: There is no update, even after contacting them as directed below.Hammonton's Shop from Home is a disaster. I shop biweekly for home delivery and at least 8 of 10 orders have had issues with the freshness or quality of items shopped. It's seems they just grab the oldest stuff on the shelves and you pay a premium for it. Even after making them aware it's still consistently bad. This past July's delivery had all of the meat items purchased with sell by dates of the day prior or the day of, and it was alot of meat, hamburger, chicken, beef steaks, etc. I now always check the dates on EVERYTHING before putting the order away.Since then, I have twice purchased Schweid Hamburger Patties that had a Sell By of the day prior and when opened they were clearly bad. Its really annoying when your order food for company and then still have to run out to purchase fresh. They also substitute much higher priced items WITHOUT checking for approval and there is no option to return. Every order has errors and they never resolve them, they apologize and tell you they will credit you but they never do. Curbside is just as bad, you wait and wait and wait. My last pick up, the person bringing out the order had to chase down a car for a forgotten bag and then did the same with my order. You would think after remodeling to add this service quality control would be better.I give up and will be using anotherstore.Edit 10/28 I appreciate the response but I had contacted the store via 2 emails to the Manger Prior to posting this review. He was of no help.

Went to Shoprite last night to get balloons blown up for one of my kids. After standing in the flower section for 5 minutes with noone coming to offer help, I walked over to a cashier to ask for help. He said "someone will be over to help in a moment.". I went back and stood their for 15 minutes waiting, as employees walked by me and ignored me. Finally I walked over to one of the employees, and said, "I was told someone would come help me with these balloons, but after 15 minutes noone has come over.". she says, "Oh, the flower guy is the only one who has a key to the helium and he's not here.". The customer service was terrible! Someone could have informed me, or one of the employees could have stopped to ask if i needed help. 20 minutes wasted for nothing!

I went today to return a Farm fish ShopRite brand.I explain that the reason is. Because a family member got sick after eating the same fish. The supermarket told me they can't accept the product back because of the store policy but they can accept it as a Donation jajajaPlease don't but here the customer service are nastym. My family member lawyer will proceed against this supermarket.Fish farm are not safe Google itFish farm are not safe for humans?

This shop rite is enormous. The parking lot is spacious and the aisles are wide. The prices are always very good especially during the can can event. There seems to be an adequate amount of staff so the lines are never too long. Friendly staff!Tip- There is a propane exchange and a redbox located in the front of the building.

Use to LOVE their premade hoagies… wrapped in plastic wrap.Now they’re in plastic containers leaving room for staleness - disgusting.Does not even LOOK appetizing - They don’t even look fresh anymore - I have 2 day to expiration and the roll is hard and stale - I wish I could take a video of it snapping - they could’ve at least put appetizing tomatoes on it 🙄and Now they look like process and fake.. I’m so grossed outTRASHI hate Hammonton

Just started working here. The staff is lovely. They're always willing to help. They need some more great employees as they are a little short handed. Reading reviews of the shelves always being empty, i must disagree as i am witnessing they're processes from the other side. The shelves are as full as they can keep them. The grocers and deli department are moving as best they can. Management always stops what they are doing to assist other employees and customers. I haven't heard a single complaint out of an employee or management in regards to customer assistance. The floors are always spotless in the a.m, maintenance is always on top spills. Again these employees move as quickly as they possibly can. Hammonton shop rite has a great team.

always more than enough of every sale item, and if they do not have the item you can go to the courtesy and get a rain check so when they do get the item in after the sale you can still get the sale price! Very clean store floors and shelves , never a disappointment for me for anything...Some things are a little expensive then most .The Store associates are helpful , The vegetables are kept fresh ,The bakery is always smelling good the items are kept fresh and up to date .Deli I wish the would announce your order over the PA when completed . I left a couple times without my order and had to return to pick it up. That is 1 thing I would like them to add .The butchers corner , I go to a couple times a week , only because I do not freeze my meats that ruins the quality. Some disagree, I CAN TELL if it has been frozen or not,, by taste and texture . Well that's about all. Hope this was helpful for you .

I would like to thank Lisa, in management, at the Hammonton NJ Shop Rite, for salvaging a bad situation. On March 10, she went to another store(Vineland) to have a cake decorated, for a shower I was attending. The bakery had dropped the ball and we’re not able to provide what I had ordered six days prior.I really appreciate her effort to provide good service and a nice product

The shelves are always empty. I can never find what I’m looking for. It’s always a gamble: they’ll have what I want consistently for a week and then never again for months at a time. It’s entirely random if they’ll have what I’m looking for in stock, and they’re such basic items, so sometimes I get up and go for almost no reason. You’re better off driving a while out to another grocery store than wasting your time at this location.

I’ll be honest here I’m a big snack person and this place is always out of what I eat and I do eat alot so it’s not like it’s one specific thing and the prices here are more for some reason compared to neighboring towns shoprites. I don’t understand why hammonton thinks they can just rob people go to Berlin and get more variety and cheaper deals every penny saved is another snack bought not to mention as soon as you leave your car you smell how bad it stinks the parking lot smells like a dirty diaper

Store is small,isles are crowded. Just recently I went to the deli to have a hoagie made, stood there for 20 minutes no one ever showed up. Not my first choice when shopping.You need to concentrate on your customers more.

Very friendly staff and everyone is accommodating. The store is clean with good lighting. I do not like the way the deli operates. You must always order through the computer even when no other customers are waiting. I go to Berlin ShopRite and at the deli you take a number and when your number is called you order. Very simplistic but efficient.

We are consistently disappointed in the quality of the produce at our local ShopRite. Although we live minutes away from the store, we prefer to travel to Vineland. Can you do better please????

Shop rite from home SOUNDS like a great service but they have yet to complete an order without making mistakes or forgetting items. My last order included 8 bell peppers ($15), 3 giant packs of paper plates, 5 POUNDS of ground beef, 48 cents worth of salami, 2 BULK bags of mozzarella… all of which I did NOT order along with NO pizza sauce (offered no replacements) and apparently there is no chicken in the entire store. I was missing several Items as well. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. I just wish the people packing the order cared more or at least paid attention to the details on my list. Food is SOOOOO expensive and I really can’t stand wasting money on things I didn’t order. Not happy at all. Why order curbside when you have to go back in and return items or grab things that were forgotten. Shop rite - do better!

Really use to like this Shoprite but the deli part has gone down hill dramatically, deli workers wont cut lunchmeat if it's already out , the lunch meat that is out, is cut so thick it's not edible spent alot on 4 packs of roast beef to just toss , Def learned my lesson. Will go elsewhere for all deli items .

I generally love ShopRite. This particular store I don't frequent but I needed to order a cake for my sons 5th birthday and it's down the road from a friend who was picking it up for me. They had 4 days notice. When my friend arrived to pick up the cake she was told, "oh, they didn't make it". When asked why, they had no answer. Further, not one employee did a single thing to help rectify the situation. So not only was my son disappointed but I then had to spend $30 on a plain cake that wasn't even worth $10.Had this been a party for someone else, someone older, I would have been more understanding. Being my son's birthday and the cake ordered specifically for him and his decor, I was very upset. I should not have to witness my son cry on his birthday because somebody didn't do their job and nobody tried to fix the situation.Because of the fact that nobody attempted to help fix the situation as quickly as possible oh, I will not be returning to the store. I don't recommend ordering anything personalized from this location.
