The kindness and love here is unmatched. I’m a new pet owner and was very nervous because my pup had pups and needed medical attention. Brandon at the desk is a super sweet heart and our nurse Cathy, an angel. I was more nervous than my baby and they were amazing with us both. There are stores closer to my house but this store is our home. Thanks guys ♥️

Well I always have a great experience so that’s why I gave it a five star. But my last visit I don’t believe the cashier was having a good day. She was not very energetic or engaging like other employees were this day. Maybe she was having a bad day but I wouldn’t rate my visit on her bad day.but just let it be known and I did not receive my bag for being a premier Got them on the forklift, so another one customer as it said I would get in my email.

Don’t take your dog to get a haircut because they screwed up with my dog. Didn’t finish working on my dog when they started to cut somebody else’s dog.When I came to get my pet after 3hrs. The stylist told me he needed 1hr.time more to finish.While my dog was in the back inside a cage.NEVER AGAIN.

Went there today with my puppy and everyone was super helpful and kind, especially Colette and Dr. Wagner!! 10/10 would recommend this vet for anyone looking to bring their dogs in!!

One of the staff members named Colin was unfriendly and unprofessional. He wasn’t helpful at all. He spoke very rudely to me when I was inquiring about the price match which this store offers. I don’t know if he was having a bad day but staff should not treat customers that way. He needs more training on how to speak to customers and be more polite.

Over the Christmas holiday, I had the most unforgettable and awful experience with one of store assistants. I bought toys for my dogs last minute for the Christmas holiday and picked the wrong toys for the Buy2Get1Free promotion, which can happen to anyone. The price of the promotion toy sets went up for some reason, so I had to move forward with the previous sets. At this moment, Colin showed me an unacceptable and reluctant attitude towards me and threw away the toys. I think he shouldn't have worked over there on Christmas eve if he doesn't like his job. Amanda, the store manager, should be aware of her employees' inappropriate behavior and attitude toward customers. +

We visited Vetco at Hackensack today for our corgi’s yearly vaccines. The NEW VET is a WHITE WOMAN WHO IS NOT VERY FRIENDLY AND RACIST!! The receptionist did not do her job very well, she didn’t even check my pup’s weight, it’s because the receptionist was EATING HER BANANA. The ENTIRE NEW CREW ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS AND UNFRIENDLY ESPECIALLY THE VET!!! I wish the regular vet of my pup was there. The entire service today was VERY UNPLEASANT!!!

The staff provided excellent customer service but I was disappointed with a product that I purchased. I should have read the reviews about the Aqueon algae remover before getting it. I followed the recommended dose which quickly dissolved the algae making the aquarium water very clear, BUT it also killed all 6 Corydora catfish. The algae remover killed the algae eaters hence the review.

The doctor and nurses were really nice and caring! The nurse I had today was especially nice, and let us be aware of every single thing and answer any questions we had. Also, compared to a lot of hospitals, petco is super affordable! Will definitely be back again.

Amazing vet services! I rescued a feral kitten from a lot behind my house and we brought him to Petco in Hackensack to get checked out. He was very irritated and stressed, he wouldn’t let anyone touch him, but after spending time with the vet and nurse, he warmed up and even was purring! They gave us amazing advice and were so kind. He’s a different cat now, and I’m so grateful for the amazing staff at Petco!

I don’t appreciate how I was shopping with my daughter and was being watched and followed by this employee as if I was some sort of thief. I then asked employee why he was following me and he told me that he was minding his own business. I don’t know this employees name but he was a Caucasian male with blonde hair. I am so upset with how I was treated and will make sure not to shop here anymore.

Very nice store but not for saltwater fish. I bought saltwater fish and water was contaminated with ich , it's well known parasite and it will kill all your fish. If you still have to buy marine fish please put them quarantine tank for 6 weeks before add them to main tank.

I have been a shopper at petco for years and I am very upset with my last visit at the Hackensack location . One of the employees (COLLIN) was very rude to me. I approached him to ask him a question regarding one of the products and he rolled his eyes at me once I started speaking to him. Then I asked him to help me find something and he responded with “I am very busy right now, Ask another employee.” Approximately 5 min later I left the store and saw him outside smoking a cigarette. He clearly was “too busy” because he wanted to smoke a cigarette. I will make sure to take my business elsewhere.

Had to deal with who my receipt says is “Giovanni” this weekend. I love this location but they need to get rid of him. Every time i’m here he is the rudest person to deal with. Not polite, not welcoming, not patient at all. * watched him tell the lady in front of me to “get it together” when she was looking for her card, I asked him for my receipt and he said “really?” to me. I understand having a bad day but this dude sucks. I feel awful handing my money to someone so unprofessional. He is the stain on this store.

Communication in this facility is horrible. Called to let them know my pet had an adverse reaction to a vaccine, (Which the person giving the vaccine told me to do) and I was told to take my pet to an emergency vet. Thanks for the help.

Needed a leash for my dog. I got a nice adjustable one. They also renovated the inside since last time I was there. There were several people on line to check out and it seemed very busy while I was there. I was please with that I got there.

This place has seriously gone downhill. Twice in the past few months, they just haven't had any of the litter I like, and this last time, the floor was flooded, and there still wasn't the bag of litter that I prefer. On top of that, they were totally out of reasonably priced cat brushes.This place has started to have serious stock and maintenance issues. I prefer in-person shopping, but this place's total lack of organization lead to me ordering all of my pet supplies online now. Too bad - because the employees themselves are friendly in person. But whatever nameless person is in charge of the supplies being in stock is terrible.

I had ordered online for a in store pickup. When I arrived to pick it up, it was all there waiting for me. One piece was a 75 gallon fish tank. Before I could ask for assistance, Chris asked if I needed help getting into my car. He was so pleasant and upbeat. That made my experience so much better.

Great first experience with vaccinations at Petco’s Vetco. Plan to return for other vaccines. Less stressful than going to the vet for my dog. And I get to go in WITH my dog, which my Vet doesn’t allow, due to Covid restrictions.
