The lodge is beautifully renovated and very cozy. We were in the first floor queen room and were surprised at how large the room was! There was a refrigerator and loveseat, along with a very comfortable bed. There was a lovely gas fireplace and exposed wood beams, which made it feel like we were stepping back in time. The accessible bathroom was spacious and updated. The breakfast was definitely more than what we would consider a continental breakfast. We had French toast, sausage and fresh fruit! Delicious!

We recently stayed at the Fox & Bear Lodge for a second time and it was just as lovely as the first time.Brant is very helpful and responded quickly to all questions we had about our stay prior to arriving.The first time we stayed was in the summer and more recently it was the winter and in both seasons the room was comfortable.The lodge itself is beautiful and the gardens are also lovely. There is a stream and a pretty bridge. There is also coffee and tea in the lobby, which is appreciated.Both times we stayed Janice was so kind and patient with our son and answered all of his questions. Breakfast was delicious; we had pancakes the first time and quiche the second time. There was also cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, and juices.We will definitely be back for another stay in the future.I highly recommend the Fox & Bear.

The Fox & Bear Lodge was a wonderfully relaxing weekend getaway. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, with a beautiful gas fireplace. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, many places outside to sit and sip coffee from the wonderful Cafe on site. Morning breakfast was delicious! And I cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was at both the Lodge and the Cafe. The Lodge is a short drive to Warwick, NY where there are plenty of shops and dining options, or just a nice walk around. We are definitely making this a twice a year getaway spot!!Rooms: Beautifully decorated, extremely clean. All the comforts of home!

We loved Fox and Bear! It's SO beautiful and Brant was and incredible host. The breakfast was very good - high quality croissant egg sandwich (but it changes all the time) - fun to have a coffee shop attached to the lodge too!Convenient to Mountain Creek and Warwick - an easy quick gettaway from where we are in NJ (Maplewood)... so cozy - we just loved hanging by the fire in our room and relaxing!

Brant was an amazing host. The rooms are very cosy and beautifully decorated. Fireplace in the room was a real treat.Super cute coffee shop with great coffee and pastries.The breakfast was delicious Can't wait to return.Highly recommend !!

Service is outstanding, they all make you feel like home. Last time there was an issue with the heater in our room and they immediately solve it (on Thanksgiving night!) and even gave us an upgrade for the next night.The morning buffet is delicious!! And included with the already great price for your room.And the lodge is so beautiful! Every single detail, the art, furniture, all amazing.I can’t wait to go back!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. We woke up every morning to freshly-made breakfasts and an awe-inspiring view of the nearby woods. The lodge itself is rustic and well-preserved, with enough modern accommodations for convenience that didn’t detract from the homespun charm. Brant and Janice were friendly, extremely accommodating, and knowledgeable about activities in the area. All in all we have zero complaints and will certainly be back.UPDATE 4/4/24: Had another stay at Fox & Bear recently. My prior review still very much applies, but the multi-course dinner at the lodge, courtesy of Five Tastes, was an additional highlight. My fiancée and I plan on making our stay at Fox & Bear a yearly-tradition.

We had our wedding at the Fox & Bear Lodge which was truly an amazing experience! They managed every detail of the wedding which made it easy for us. The Ceremony, the cocktail hour to the dinner was spectacular. I loved the flower arrangements, the beautiful chandeliers that hung above the tables, the personalized dinner menus made for a memorable experience. Our family that stayed at the lodge loved their beautiful rooms and the service they received. I can't thank Brant and Dearrick enough for making our day so special.

I'm an Appalachian Trail through hiker. This attractive B&B is great! It is a easy 1 mile hike off the trail. There is a Deli/convenience store 50 yards away with great food and limited resupply. They made a great breakfast for me and left it in the fridge, with a delicious microwavable quiche, so that I could leave before 6:00 AM. Sit down breakfast is later. They were very friendly and accommodating. The room was super-clean and well organized. A great overnight stop for hikers!Rooms: Room was super-clean and comfortable.Walkability: A 1 mile walk from the AT with a great convenience/deli store right next door.

This was the perfect inn! Our room was just as expected (knew it was small and that was fine with us) - clean as a whistle. The self check in worked perfectly for us as we arrived late. We had several email interactions before our visit - all timely and full of information. I requested a late checkout but there was a wedding group checking in and so I needed to be out by 11. Everyone made the normal check out seamless - I sat on the porch and read my book - had lunch in the cafe (excellent), did my yoga in the Chandelier room (left my mat and Janice and Brant both wanted to mail it - but ended up "donating" it) - shipping wouldn't have been worth it. Really a lovely, lovely stay - would definitely go back!

The Fox & Bear Lodge is such a wonderful B&B. There are so many things to do if you are looking to fill your stay with activities but also a very relaxing inn if relaxation is on the top of your mind. The property itself is surrounded by farms which at night is perfect for stargazing and during the days great to stare off into the horizon to take in nature around you. As for the inn itself, it’s amazing walking around and exploring the early 19th century house and the architectural details of that time but also contain some modern touches that were thoughtfully curated. It was also great that this B&B is pet friendly as our doggies enjoyed their stay as much as we did. Breakfast each morning was delicious too!We definitely recommend this inn and we’ll most certainly be back! Talking to Brant and Dearrick you’ll get a sense of pride and hard work they put into this inn.

Husband and I LOVED our stay at Fox and Bear Lodge! Highlights included yoga on Saturday morning (included with stay), delicious breakfast with cute outside eating areas, perfect location from downtown Warwick, yummy apple cider donuts right across the street, comfortable rooms, and very welcoming owners. This was our 5th year coming to Warwick and first time at the lodge. We truly enjoyed our getaway to Fox & Bear Lodge. We were looking for a couple of days to decompress and this was the perfect setting. The owners and staff were warm, friendly and helpful and the lodge was charming. We particularly enjoyed having access to the veranda where we could sit outside and read while sipping wine. The coffee and breakfast were top notch. During the day, there were plenty of restaurants and breweries to choose from as well as places to hike in the surrounding towns. Looking forward to going back!

What a beautiful and cozy stay! The hosts made us feel right at home. The decor reflected well on the design expertise of our hosts - endlessly creative and eye-catching, but warm. The adjoining cafe had fabulous coffee and coffee-based drinks as well as baked goods. Breakfast was great as well. The location is also special - very close to a section of the Appalachian Trail containing a boardwalk over a long swampy area. Also, a wide choice of restaurants in the area.

I just had my baby shower at Fox and Bear Chandelier room last weekend and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The organizer, Christina, made sure to accommodate my custom food requests (plantbased options) and made sure everything is smooth. On the event itself, my husband and I were greeted by Brant and Kelly and they were the kindest hosts and were very helpful. My guests are around 15 people only and it was overall, an amazing baby shower and gender reveal. The Chandelier room is beautiful:) Thanks guys!

What an amazing trip this was. Fox & Bear lodge is a beautiful place to get away. It is close to a few restaurants and some shops as well. Brant and Dearrick are also so helpful with any questions you might have about the surrounding areas. Can’t recommend it enough. Janice and the breakfast was amazing as well! My partner and I had a great experience at Fox & Bear Lodge. The rooms were adorable, the breakfast was fantastic, and Janice, the Director of Guests Services, was wonderful and accommodating. We found Fox & Bear because we were looking to spend a few days outside of the city to connect and also needed to bring our dog. Pet friendly accommodations are always a plus, and Fox & Bear is equipped with dog beds, special treats and toys for dog guests. As a trans couple, we are always looking for places that are inclusive and welcoming. We can't wait to go back to Fox & Bear!

We loved our weekend at The Fox and Bear Lodge! Every detail has been considered in terms of design and comfort. The outdoor areas have been beautifully landscaped, and our favorite spot was by the babbling brook. It was so peaceful to sit, read, and relax by the water. The rooms are inviting and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast Janice prepares and serves is delicious! It is clear that Dearrick and Brant have put so much work and heart into creating a wonderful experience for their guests. We look forward to returning for another weekend in the future!

This was our second visit to Fox & Bear.Like the first it did not disappointThis time our entire family came, there were ten of us, including two infants.The entire staff could not have been more courteous and helpful.As always Dearrick and Brant are the perfect host.We had a catered dinner, something new we were told.It was incredible, the food was amazing, service impeccable and the house cocktail unbelievable.Morning breakfast was perfect even if we had a few picky eaters.Janice and the staff catered to our every need.The cafe's food, coffee and baked goods can't be beat.The events were also great. The yoga and music were a nice treat.We will be back again.I highly recommend Fox and Bear Lodge for the perfect getaway.

Everything about our stay was wonderful from start to finish! The accommodations were comfortable and we had everything we needed or could possibly want. The food was delicious (and made to order!). The owners and staff were generous, friendly, and welcoming. We booked a spur of the moment trip to do some hiking in the area and the Fox and Bear Lodge was the perfect location. We will definitely be encouraging friends to check it out and returning ourselves.

I had such a lovely time at Fox & Bear Lodge. I came up for the weekend to have a “me”cation. The property was beautiful in winter. The green exterior contrasted the snow perfectly. I was welcomed immediately by Brant and he and Derrick were the best hosts. The breakfast is delightful and their coffee shop on the premises is adorable. At one point there was a minor issue with my room fireplace and they immediately attended to it and were beyond accommodating. Janice was a pleasure as well! Thank you, Fox & Bear. I can’t wait to return with my family in the Fall.

This review is long overdue, but it had to be written soon or later!Fox and Bear Lodge was the location for my wedding reception, and they exceeded expectations on every level. The planning process was smooth and seamless every step of the way.The lodge itself is so cozy and the service was spectacular. And the food, delicious! I could go on and on about each detail and how wonderful it was, but I’ll end with this…Fox and Bear made my wedding dreams come true and if you’re looking for a beautiful venue, look no further! I wish I could give Fox & Bear Lodge a 10-star rating. Great experience all around. Starting from the booking and Brant's flexibility with our special room arrangements, to the actual stay in the newly renovated room. The attention to details found in the "sports" room was delightful. Breakfast the next morning was amazing with a warm greeting from Janice and Dearrick. They also provide lots of recommendations such as our memorable farm-to-table dinner as well as other activities, from hiking, markets to art galleries. We hope to book another stay very soon. Thank you Brant, Dearrick and Janice for your wonderful hospitality!
