Was finally in the area and went for "the fungool" sandwich that I heard so much about. However, was told that they no longer make it and only had cold items. Ended up getting a cold roast beef hoagie. I was disappointed that they didn't have what we had originally wanted. However, the bread and roast beef were great, which made up for it.

Unfortunately after Gary left the business it’s simply not the same. Our family has been loyal customers for over 50 years (!) purchasing meatball and sausage meat for Sunday dinner weekly with no exception. Within the past year the quality and consistency have gone out the window. Receiving inedible over-peppered sausage on several occasions has made the hard decision for us of finding a new local butcher. I’m talking peppered like someone unscrewed the lid and emptied the bottle. Insane! The second time it happened we called the store in hopes of hearing an understandable response but sadly did not. Evidently, in their words, there is no recipe and whomever is making the meat on that given day “does so as they please”. G&M’s old school neighborly-attitude is very clearly GONE and so is our family as an incredibly long time customer 💔.

I have known the owners and employees for over 20 years!They're like family to us! My son Nick worked for them for many years! Hank and Gary taught him everything he knows about butchering !The freshest lunch meats and cheeses in town. Best prices also! Can't beat the homemade sausage ,roast beef and roast pork! There ground chicken beats all others! Over 50 years in business speaks for itself!!

I love that this is a family owned and operated business. My heart goes out to you all and I wish you many years of success. The only reason this is not a 5/5 rating is because I wish you guys would wear gloves in between making sandwiches and handling money, boxes, etc. Even though my sandwich looks awesome, I am simply grossed out and can't finish it. Please someone from management see this and humbly make that small little change. If in a few months I see gloves on next time, I will definitely change this review.

I had the single best Italian hoagie (sub) that I’ve ever had in my life here. I have had sandwiches all over NJ and G&M uses the best meats, the best breads and has the best service anywhere in NJ and the surrounding tri-state area. You can tell they actually care about the ingredients they use, and the customers they serve. I won’t go anywhere else for a sandwich ever again!

Awful experience!!! I called to order roast beef, was told to “come on in”. Drove 15 miles to get there, and they’re out of it!! No apologies, just a VERY rude woman who told me I should have called ahead. I did! The place really needs a good cleaning, too. I will NEVER go back there again! Overpriced, poor quality food being sold at top dollar prices. Absolutely appalling.

I was coming here since I was a young boy. My parents would and me here to get orders. Lately I noticed that the prices are going through the roof. 3 lbs chipe steak 45 dollars crazy. 1 lbs meatloaf mix 9 dollars crazy. They are going over board looking for a new place.

Use to go to this deli all the time years ago when I lived in Glendora. Great store made roast beef. Moved out of town so don't get there as often now. Went in there today and the owners/workers were very rude. I wanted some roast beef and I guess they had cleaned the blades already. Instead of telling me that, they instead made a comment of " I knew it" and gave each other and me an unfriendly look. The owner didn't even look me in the eye and she was the one taking care of me. I had to literally ask again if it was too late. No answer. The two women just kept looking at one another. Then when I wanted to purchase an extra gravy the other woman working there was annoyed because as she schooled me " 1 container is really enough for 2 lbs and you've only got 1 1/2". It wasn't what she said but how it was said. Rude and unfriendly they have become. Use to have a nice vibe but now just old and dirty with miserable women waiting on you. We all work hard days ladies. Will not go back. The roast beef is good but not that good. Go down the road a bit on Clements Bridge Rd in Deptford to Rastelli's instead. They are more than happy to serve.
