A wonderful, wonderful experience. All of the food was legendary, and the service was even better. I had the pork chop, and it was spectacular. It melted in your mouth. Someone in our party had the dry aged ribeye, and it was absolutely amazing. I reccomend the steak butter with it. The tuna tartare was my favorite part of the entire meal. It was so fresh, and so fantastic. The white truffle Parm fries were also amazing. Their crème brûlée was also absolutely fantastic. Their prices were very very fair, however, it is a high end restraint, so do expect to be paying. Highly recommend, the entire experience was wonderful. Will be back.

Food is absolutely incredible. Had a dried ribeye that melted in your mouth. Service was as great as the food portions are very very large prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get, but however, it is an expensive dinner. My only slight complaint is the dining room is extremely loud and there was an event in the basement that had loud music during our dinner

Very nice Valentine's dinner. The food was incredible! 8oz sirloin with Koha seasoning, blue cheese & blue crab meat, so delicious. It didn't need to additional gravy dip. Garlic spinach & lyaonnaise potatoes. We were in the main dining room pretty much alone. So nice. Our waiter Mike was great. He recommended the steak. Was a great dinner.

And she has great hair... wink, wink! Not a crowded Tuesday night. Perfect corner table in the patio. Nice indoor fireplace for added ambience.Dietary restrictions: GF friendly. We received a gift certificate from my work as a wedding present, we used it tonight for our 6 month anniversary. Brian was our server and he was professional and attentive. The other men working were quick to clear our table when we finished a course and quick to fill up our waters when they were getting low. Our food was really good. We got calamari as an appetizer, and they also give you warm fresh bread with whipped butter, both starters were great. We got the Kona crusted ribeye and the NY Strip with a bleu cheese demi for our entrees accompanied with mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms. Our steaks were both cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. The wild mushrooms were so fresh and delicious. The mashed potatoes aren’t anything special, I recommend subbing for a different side. All in all, it was a great experience for our first time being there and we hope to be back soon.

We visited for a Sunday luncheon party. There was a limited menu offered, chicken or salmon for lunch. I ordered the chicken but sent it back it was very dry. The salmon, however, was delicious and tender.Vegetarian options: There are all vegetable platter and salads available

This is absolutely an amazing place to go for a very nice dinner or fancy occasion. The atmosphere is romantic and comfortable. The food is amazing. I recommend the steaks, they are always cooked perfectly and delicious! The tuna tartar is a great appetizer. The lobster Mac and cheese has big chunks of fresh lobster in it, it’s very enjoyable. To drink- the blood orange margarita is my favorite!

I'll start with the good, since it outweighs the bad.First time at The Chophouse. I've been wanting to check it out since forever and finally got a chance over the weekend. We made reservations and were seated within minutes. The restaurant is beautiful with views of a lake - very nice for special occasions. The entire staff, from the valet attendants, hostesses, bartenders up to the wait staff are top-notch. Our waitress was Jen and she was excellent, attentive and personable. So far so good.I chose the 14oz. dry-aged steak because it was a special occasion and I had never had it before. I read that dry-aging makes the meat tender and very flavorable.Well, they got the flavorable part right. But tender it was not. In fact I'd say it was one of the toughest steaks I've ever had. I needed to slice it into thin strips just to chew it. Very disappointed. Also, know in advance that the steak doesnt come with any sides. Luckily I ordered the lyonnaise potatoes, which are basically home fries, and werent cooked completely - some were crunchy. My wife's scallop dish tasted delicious, as was our appetizer. My smoked old-fashioned was very good, as were the wines and beers.I will give The Chophouse another chance but I won't be ordering the dry-aged steak again. A shame.

This restaurant is amazing! I had one of the best meals of my life. The vibe was cool yet welcoming. Our server Destiny was awesome! It was perfection from start to finish! I had the kona crusted filet oscar style. It was superb, the best steak I ever had. My sister had the NY strip and my nephew had the bone in ribeye, again both were outstanding. For apps we had the cajun shrimp and pork belly, and I had the oysters on the half shell. The oysters were impeccable, served So clean and cold. And the pork belly and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Our sides were Brussel sprouts which were so absolutely delicious that no other brussel sprouts will ever measure up. And we had the bake potato which was big enough to feed the three of us. For Dessert We had the creme brulee and tiramisu which were equally as amazing as our apps and entrees. The service was spot on and the progression of the meal was perfect. The beautiful view lakeside is the cherry on top here.Whether you go for drinks or an intimate dinner please just go! This incredible dining experience will keep us coming back!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Roomy and very comfortable wheelchair access in restaurant and bathroom.

Every year to celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I have a fine dining adventure at The ChopHouse! We got married nearby at Lakeside Manor but the venue closed in 2019. We love that there’s an amazing restaurant with a breathtaking view just across the lake. First we ordered the pork belly with peaches and brown sugar, it was the best we’ve ever had! To drink I had the Bonesaw Swoosh IPA and my wife had the Old Fashioned which was smoked table side. In previous years we really enjoyed the colossal king crab legs which should be returning to the menu soon. For the main course we had the New York Strip with a lobster tail and they made it so easy to share. Every steak is aged for at least 28 days in a temperature controlled locker giving it more flavor. This time we tried Kona crusted and, as always, it was delicious! We also tried their baked cauliflower, a seasonal side with a creamy cheese sauce and bacon. When you’re at the ChopHouse, you can tell by the ambiance that many of the guests as there for something important, not just an ordinary meal. It’s nice to see people celebrating birthdays or anniversaries but our favorite is watching the couples that are trying to navigate their first date. We always enjoy the food but the highlight of our adventure is dining with such an incredible view! We like to end the night with a walk around Lakeside Manor. The site is slowly being cleaned up but the iconic smokestacks from the Paint Works of the 1800s still remain. If you are you looking for an incredible steak and an awesome view, make a reservation at the ChopHouse! 🥩 🥃🌅 #steakonthelake #chophouseexperience #gibbsboronj #adventuresinsouthjersey

As usual another wonderful experience and what made it even more a delight was our fantastic waitress Melissa. The restaurant was packed and even though we didn’t have a reservation the hostess made it work to get us in. However the seating did not work but Melissa was quick to relocate my daughter and I to a more suitable and comfortable place for an even better experience. The ambiance, the food, the staff and drinks of course make this restaurant a perfect waterfront treasure right in the middle of the Voorhees.Recommendations for the future, it would be nice to see more diversity in staff and clientele. The Mac & Cheese should be served in smaller portion sizes for a fine dining. Managers should be out touching the tables.Overall a tremendous experience and I am very happy to see the restaurant opened to full capacity again. Thanks for serving our community ❤️🌹♥️10/12/2022 I am completely pleased to see the diversity in staff and clientele. The valet attendant was excellent in giving exquisite service. Lovely hostess and wonderful waitress. The staff that helped with water and cleaning the table were amazing as well. Again, thanks for making it a pleasant and memorable experience.

I went to the ChopHouse for the first time last night. It was a business dinner and I am really not a “ steak” person. Well, dining at this restaurant has shown me what I’ve been missing. Everything was excellent. I had the dry aged NY strip with a Kona rub and it was phenomenal. The seared crust on it was amazing and it was so delicious. It has made me a steak lover. I also had the opportunity to have the Brussels sprouts which were the best I’ve ever had. The truffle fries, mushrooms, blackened shrimp, creamed spinach and calamari ( which I don’t even like but was so good!) The portions of the apps and accompaniments were big enough that we could share between 6 people. Is it on the pricy side? Yes. But the portions were good and the food was excellent. I can’t wait to go back. The service was great as well.

I’ve been to the chop house many times over the years for special occasions as it’s a very pricey restaurant. That said I never minded paying the extra money as the quality of the food was and key word “was” amazing. Our waiter was amazing and the service at the front of the house was great. However the Kitchen fell very short on execution. I had Divers scallops that were not properly seared and looked like two of them were cut in half to stretch the ingredients which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. I also don’t believe they were fresh scallops as they also lacked the sweetness and proper sear and that golden brown that you usually get with what’s called a dry scallop. That said my one adult son ordered a top cut of meat and ordered it medium rare. It came out a touch under well done and the one thing I expect a very expensive steak house to get right us the temp on a quality piece of meat. I asked the waiter if he thought it was cooked right and he immediately sighed and said definitely not. He then rushed it back and then came out with another cut of meat and instead of it being mid rare it was completely rare any less it would have been raw. It had a hard sear. My son was frustrated and ate some of it and said he didn’t want to wait any longer for them to get it right. My daughter ordered the lobster mac and cheese and there was barely any lobster in it. I saw other recent reviews with similar complaints but didn’t believe it and thought maybe it was an isolated incident. At this point going out for my birthday I rather stay home and cook my own steak and other food as I can pick out better ingredients and cook a steak better with my eyes closed than this experience. I will not be returning. Also the patio area has a great view but it’s very noisy especially since your near an outside bar as well. I could barely hear my children trying to talk to me and that is what eating with family is all about. The company of friends and family. The only reason I have it two stars is because of the great wait staff and the beautiful building and view. Also ordered the Crème brûlée and it was also disappointing. It didn’t have enough sugar to get true hard candied top. Again even my kids can make a better one and they have. Also with tip it was 250 dollars no alcohol and one of the entrees was for my young daughter which was an appetizer.

My wife and I visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our first visit. Destiny was our waitress, she was friendly & attentive throughout the meal.We started with the shrimp cocktail, 4 REALLY LARGE shrimp with cocktail sauce. I ordered the special, swordfish with a chimichurri sauce, and my wife had Konami rubbed filet with crab meat & gorgonzola sauce. Both were outstanding, as were the sides of sautéed broccoli & Lyonnaise potatoes. The craft drinks were also on point.I can't recommend the Chop House enough! Fabulous food, incredible service and a upscale but casual atmoaphere.

3rd time visiting, still love the experience so much. Get the kona crusted steak, you won't regret it. Skip the side dishes, not worth it. If they offer you the pork belly appetizer, snap it up, it's melt in your mouth delicious! We enjoy the smoked old fashioned with extra cherries. The creme brulee is so yummy.Parking: Friday night is a fight to get a spot, come early!

My husband and I went for an early New Year's Eve dinner, and it was fantastic! They had a Roaring 20's theme for the night, which was fun, and the decorations for the holidays were lovely. The service was fast, our waitress was funny and on point, and the food was beyond delicious. Their whiskey list is also quite varied. Our dinner and experience were worth every penny, and I look forward to coming again for another special occasion.

Lived in the area for years, finally had a chance with special occasion to visit Chop House, I have heard many positive reviews from friends and family about this place. The atmosphere and facility is beautiful, its clean, modern and inviting. Was excited to eat and waited all week for the day to arrive. I greater was nice, waitress and staff were friendly also. However, the food was not good, WE ordered two steaks medium, one was over cooked and one was done well. The baked potato was over cooked and covered with gooey cheese, the asparagus was under cooked I waited about 30 minutes for the food and did not want to wait anymore for them to re do the steaks, They took the over cooked steak away, which forced me to share one over cooked steak with two people. The waitress apologized but did nothing and offered nothing to solve the problem. By the time the waitress returned to check on us, we were still hungry and informed the kitchen was closing, so no option for more food. I was very surprised, for this price point and level of restaurant I was extremely disappointed. I wasted my night, my dinner, and money on this place, we do not plan on returning and will not recommend.

Tonight, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. Absolutely everything was perfect! Raymond was our waiter and he helped us celebrate our special day with a very relaxed dinner. He didn’t rush us and he took our order and delivered it with perfection. The dinner was perfect, as usual, and everything was served as expected. I have been here several times and have never been served a bad meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

I took my beautiful wife to the Chophouse for date night the other night. Neither of us have been there and we were excited to give it a try.Upon arrival we were seated promptly and the waitress was welcoming and excited to see us in for our first time.We were given a tour of the menu along with the daily specials. Within minutes we had our first round of drinks which was an old fashioned and margarita. The drinks were beautifully presented and tasted just as good. For food... We gotRnd 1:Bread and butterCiabatta with pesto/tomato/cheeseRnd 2:Lobster bisqueFrench onion soupRnd 3:Raw oysters / clamsRnd 4:Dry aged gorgonzola steakSeared tuna (Ahi) on noodlesRnd 5:Key lime pieChocolate & strawberry cakeThe food was spectacular and beautifully presented as you can see in the photos. Everything was extremely fresh and well portioned. The wild mushrooms that I got with the steak were soooo yummy and I had plenty to bring home and make a omelette with the next day.The steak / tuna was cooked exactly as we requested. I was amazed at how thick the steak was.Overall, our first experience was amazing and we will certainly be back for more in the future. Thank you for making the night special and especially thank you for not rushing us through the meal.

It was our very first time dining here for my birthday. We do not plan to go back. The biggest disappointment was the flavor of the food with the temperature of the dishes. In addition, the appetizers were just ok. We prefer Ruth's Chris or Flemming's for overall dining experience. The nonalcoholic beverages did not have the carbonation and the Arnold Palmer was not unlimited refills. The calamari had to be sent back because it was over cooked and the pork belly was tough not tender. No one enjoyed the flavors of their protein entrée including the pork chops, veal, salmon, filet mignon and ribeye. For this to be fine dining, the experience was lacking.

It was our second time at the ChopHouse. The food was great both times. The steaks there are delicious, we had a file and a rib eye. Brussel sprouts were exceptional- I highly recommend trying it. The surf and turf salad looked great but was okay - the steak in it was not as good and there was too much of blue cheese and dressing. The service was great both times. Overall the atmosphere is nice and cozy. They have a lake view which is beautiful during the day.

My recent visit to The Chophouse on Christmas Eve left me quite disappointed. I had high expectations for a fine dining experience, but unfortunately, several aspects fell short.Firstly, the oysters I ordered for appetizer came out with my food. The cocktail sauce that came with the oysters, appeared to have been used by another table. There was barely any sauce left, and the presentation was messy. This was surprising and left me in disbelief.Additionally, I had ordered truffle fries but received regular fries instead. The absence of table settings was also noticeable and detracted from the overall ambiance. To top it off, my drink did not taste like the lemon drop cocktail I had ordered. As someone who appreciates the attention to detail in fine dining establishments, this was a letdown.I left restaurant still hungry and was completely turned off to continue to eat the food. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I had hoped for a more refined experience. I believe that The Chophouse has the potential to provide a fantastic dining experience, but improvements in consistency and attention to detail are needed.I hope that my feedback can contribute to the restaurant's growth and improvement in the future.
