Something happened to myDog while she was here and no one ever called to tell me. She went in fine and came home limping and depressed. It took us many months and vet visits to figure out what was wrong. Maybe we could have figured it out sooner if this place had integrity and contacted us with what happened. So in the meantime my poor dog has been suffering in pain while we worked to figure out what was wrong and now are stuck paying thousands of dollars for surgery. Will never ever bring my dogs back here.

I take my Golden Retriever there every six to eight weeks for grooming. He’s always happy to Renee his groomer and he always looks great when she is done. I have never used them for boarding, however they truly seem to have your pet’s best interest in mind.

We recently boarded our dog twice at Halo House. They are a great place if you're looking for a safe spot for your pet. The front office is always very helpful in answering all of my questions and made me feel comfortable leaving my 4 month old puppy for the first time. I loved getting back the report card filled out by Nickey to let me know how my puppy did during his recent stay. Great communication and very welcoming!

They really sanitize their place there & really do a good job with my dogs grooming. My dogs get spoiled there when I bring them there. From the back kennel to the front suites the runs r nice for the dogs to run in and out as they pleased.

The Halo House is a great place for your furry friend! The Halo House provides a safe and caring environment for animals. I love all of the events they have for my dog to participate in for day camp and my dog Billy loves the days he can stay and play with other dogs. He gets so excited when we visit and I love seeing him happy. Special thanks to all the employees and Cindy. They are all very helpful and friendly!

Great place to board our dog! Easy to book and plenty of play/grooming options during their stay. Helpful staff always call to confirm the stay and any add-ons. Our dog seems to really enjoy her stay. Shout out to Cindy for being the best!

Our dog (Baloo) just spent a week there as we were away on vacation. They provide several options to choose from that add enrichment during his stay (ie.play time and snacks) that we select from based on the length of his stay. The staff treat him very well and are very professional. During check out Seth gave me his report card where they commented on how much they enjoy him.Frank Radio

A year ago I took my German shephard puppy here so that she was not stuck in a crate all day when I go to work. She loved going here, she loved playing with all the dogs, everyone loved her and everyone knew her name. She was never a problem dog. All I had to say is let’s go to camp and she would run to the car. One day she came home from camp and while rubbing her belly I noticed a sticky spot on her fur and when I took a closer I realized it was dried blood covering a big wound from being bit. When I brought this to Halo Houses attention they had “no idea” this happened and had no idea what dog bit my dog. They said they would check the cameras and then told me they couldn’t look that far back. So whatever dog viciously bit my dog is possibly still at camp but who knows because the people that are supposedly watching your dogs aren’t watching them. They pretty much told me they don’t care and it happens and they don’t care about my money either if I decide to leave. We decided to let her continue to go here only when Sam was working because we trusted her and she enjoyed going here. We didn’t want our dog to suffer because of other ignorant and rude staff and management. We had been planning on getting a second puppy for awhile since she loved other dogs so much. We ended up getting another German Shepherd puppy after. She is only 5 months old and she is the calmest sweetest puppy and she also loves dogs. We were planning on enrolling her in camp again despite what we went through the first time hoping that she would also benefit from hanging out with other dogs like our other girl did. When I called to get started they asked me what breed and when I said German Shephard they said they don’t want to take them and that they can grow up to be bad and they need to check with management at this point I flipped out because I had a German Shephard come here already who loved dogs who wasn’t a vicious mean dog whatsoever EVERYONE loved her. What’s ironic is that they are worried about her breed but THEY COULDNT EVEN PROTECT MY DOG from a non targeted breed. Who’s the real problem here? Halo house is an example of what’s wrong with this world. Dogs need to be socialized so that when they are older they are good with other dogs but places like this turn them down so they don’t get an opportunity to become socialized. Afterwards they told me they will evaluate her but after spending thousands of dollars to have this experience and treatment from them I don’t want to spend a penny more! My German Shephards are the sweetest happiest dogs and deserve only the best treatment and this place doesn't give that. Some other dog got away with viciously biting my dog and yet my dog breed is the problem? YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! Get a load of this the owner doesn’t even like dogs. It’s great to have your dogs interact with other dogs that’s the only thing good about this place but certain people and the owner herself don’t give a damn about your dog or their well being! Come here and risk your dogs well being just to be told they don’t care. You lost great dogs and paying clients. Picture posted. (Edit in response to Halo House my complaint has nothing to do with your policies it has to do with the fact that Halo House was UNAWARE that another dog in the facility took a chunk out of my dogs skin and I was not made aware of this incident happening I found out on my own either Halo House doesn't pay attention to the dogs or you brush it under the rug in hopes that the customer doesn't find out that there was an incident. The policy also protects and allows a dog to remain in camp after biting a dog like this? Where are the policies for that? Second complaint is the fact that you give a hard time for allowing german shepherds in the facility and then brush it under the rug when other dogs bite. Incompetent company that does not take ownership for their lack of attention to your animals and for their lack of empathy. As far as protecting your clients I was a client that paid thousands to send my dog here for poor treatment so thank you.

Top notch accomodations that definitely sets it apart from all other establishments. The staff genuinely cares for your fur babies like their own. My pitty loves the indoor pool and activities.

I love Halo House. I recently brought my dog to another dog daycare, because it was closer to home. However, on the first day I brought her there, she got sick. $220 vet bill. Two years I brought Savanna to Halo House, she never got sick. Plus, Halo House has cameras, so you can always see what your dog is doing. The other place didn’t even let customers see the area the dogs played in. I learned my lesson, and will continue to bring Savanna to Halo House, even though it is further away from where I now live.

If you love your pet(s), please beware and go read the reviews of this place on Yelp. It’s more accurate and complaints are consistent. Even the replies from the owner of negative review on here are condescending. That should tell you a little of how the place does business. Good luck.

We have been dropping Theo off at Halo House approximately 2X per year for the past 5 years. Theo always comes home happy! He has an exit bath so he looks nice and handsome! Cindy has taken care of allowing our transactions to go smoothly! Theo is almost 11 years old, but we think he is safe at Halo House.

Everything went smoothly! First time boarding my dog for this weekend and they made sure everything was good to go and addressed any concerns I’ve had with leaving my dog with them. They’ve let me see the facility and made sure I was content. Will be using them again in the future! Everyone was super nice and friendly.

This was our first experience boarding our baby, Missy. I was a bit of s nut case worring about how she would adjust to the new surroundings, would she get along with the staff, etc. The staff assured my husband and I that Missy would be fine and that they would have no problem and that we could call at anytime to check on Missy. She stayed from Friday morning until Sunday morning and I must say she had a great time and adjusted very well to the new surroundings. The staff even sent us photos via text of her having play time. Missy will definitely be returning. A huge thank you to all the staff that helped her feel right at home

Our 12yr old dog has never boarded before and we were nervous on where to bring him. Halo House were extremely welcoming and reassuring that all wld be ok as they have dealt with new boarders before...I have to say they were 100% incredible. After a week, our dog was happy and just as healthy as always...Highly recommend

This could be lengthy but I'll try and keep it short. I booked here because it had attractive pricing and good reviews. Kinda seemed sketchy with other places being way more. Needless to say. I have a unique situation going on my dog boarding needed to be extending a bunch of times. The staff is beyond caring and always willing to help. Managers have called me to understand my situation willingly and offered to help get me resources for a temp foster for my dog. So you get it Staff is awesome but what about my dogs are they okay your wondering? Put it this way my dog who has high anxiety has medication for as needed and since being there needed it once. Normally the one place she was boarded needed it every day. My other Dog who was boarded there when I picked him up was nice and calm and excited to see me. Which if he was just caged and shown no attention he would have been crazy and busting out of the door pulling on the leash instead calmly walked out and was nice and tired so they deffintly gave him play time. This place is a little far from me but I will take the drive any time to have my dogs boarded here. Sorry it was a bit long but put your dogs here so you have peace of mind for your vacation or whatever it is. Oh yeah they called me to tell me there was a tiny bit of blood and they searched extensively to find where it was coming from and it was from my one dog playing tug of war with the other and she got a tiny cut. They could of not told me and I would have never known. Or they could of just chalked it up as something minor and left it be but instead told me and made sure they knew what it was before contacting me. If I had to say something bad about this place I would say put one closer to my house 🤣

We were extremely disappointed in the way we were treated by two staff members at Halo House on July 7, 2023. We have always been really happy in the past with Halo House and recommended them to all of our friends and family. However, after our past experience we will never go back. We were treated very rudely from the time we arrived and left. We brought our dog in and put her food down. A staff member said that the food could not be accepted that way and had to be placed in separate bags and labeled. That was new to us and I stated if we knew that, we would have done that. Another staff member apologized and said it would be ok since we didn't know. Then we were asked to fill out a few long forms because it was past 6 months since she last boarded. So we did that. I recommended that it would be helpful to send the forms via email so people could get that done ahead of time. The woman said, Well that's not how we do it." We were asked if our dog had any medical or other issues. I stated that she has short head tremor seizures, but her vet said it was an old age thing and no medication needed. I just wanted them to know it happens and the vet said she is fine. The woman, who was an operations manager said we needed to call our vet and get a verbal statement or fax over to Halo House. My husband called the vet. Both vets were in surgery so we could not get a statement for hours. She was interuptimg my him and asking if there was any word yet. I answered for him and said, "Not yet, he is still on the phome and it could he hours because the vets are in surgery." The manger said in a very angry tone " I'm not talking to you I am speaking to.the gentleman." Needless to say we were annoyed. The manager stated that they could not take our dog and said, "How would you feel if your dog died?" I said, "Do you really think we would take her here if we thought for a second she could die?" She said,"I don't know you." I wanted to know why they waited until the day of arrival to do this. She again said," Excuse me but I am talking to the gentleman." I was really mad at that point and said, " Then you are talking to me because that is my husband." She also said that she is 72 years old and can talk the way she wanted. She said she just don't care anymore. Umm..no you can't talk to people anyway you want when it comes to business. So I told her we would never be back and she said "Good...I hope not either Good bye." My son did say "Stop, because he didn't want us arguing anymore with the lady. It was a horrible experience and we ended up taking our dog elsewhere. It held us up on our vacation and we lost a day because of this. We did get our deposit mailed back in an envelope.Reading the comment from Halo House owner...that is NOT what happened. You did not come out to address anything instead you let that mean lady poorly handle this. My sonis not a child. He is 21 and neither he nor my husband were embarrassed. The way we were being spoken to upset my son and he knew I was not going to allow being spoken to and disrespected While my husband was on the phone with the vet, the manager was interupting him and asking if there was any word from the vet. I was answering not yet and that he was still on the phone. That is when your operation manager said she was not talking to me but speaking to the gentleman. My son did not want this escalating any further and he knew I was getting increasingly annoyed so he said, "Stop" so we could just leave. You people should be embarrassed. There was another couple there and they said that they were sorry for what ocurred. Do better. Don't do this to people moments before they are leaving on vacation. We could have gotten everything from the vet ahead of time if we knew you were going to interrogate us right before we left. My husband was not annoyed at me, he was annoyed with the manager trying to ask him questions while he was tryingto talk to the vet office. It was an extremely stressful situation that could have been avoided with proper communication when we booked.

Take both our dogs there for boarding! Love the staff and they are very helpful. Been to the Deptford and Franklinville groomers. I think franklinville does a better job. Plus if you get them groomed while they are boarding it cost less money

10/15/2023: Happy to add what I wrote 2 years. I love Halo House. This is Bruce Wayne's home away from home, going on 10 years with Halo House. He enjoys his time here, his treats being his fav part. All the people i have met and interacted with are amazing. I look forward to dropping and picking my baby up.I enjoy working w/ Annie, she is a doll and always has a smile and positive outlook. The communication I receive is clear as are expectations and I appreciate the check ins after Bruce's visit to see how he is doing after his stay. ______________________Very friendly & organized place. They truly care for all the dogs and cats they watch over. My dog enjoys staying here.

We boarded our dogs here for about 15 years. Last time about a year ago the owners or/and staff changed. Our Lulu literally almost died. Staff worked 5:30 am to 5:30 pm.the dogs were alone and no one could tell me how she was doing. She had anxiety and pooped water for about 2 weeks after returning home. Her anxiety level was off the charts. She looked like she had never been touched in 4 days. I would never put her there again.
