Bridgette, oh Bridgette you did an amazing job serving my wife and I.The only thing I can say is, try the lobster bisque and the clam chowder... AMAZING! Homemade and delicious. See video. I like the concept. I like everything about the atmosphere and the staff. Is a restaurant who only does seafood; oysters, clams, muscles and shell fish. Simple menu and right to the point. No this is fancy, as it should be. Areas of improvement. Slightly modern menu. Some of the stuff in there is a throwback to depression type food which needs to be pulled. Seasoning was basic, Old Baye everything, Quality was good, maybe just put a bit of a modem spin on things and it would be great.

Food is always good, but we wish that all the food was brought out together. It's been this way for decades. This most recent visit I was about to cancel the final item because we finished everything else. The waitress said she had held it back because the previous customers at that table wanted things brought out one at a time. We weren't the previous customers and if that was an option it should have been presented to us so that we could make that decision.Update: Our last visit was a little better, but the wait staff could be a little more attentive.

The seafood chowder was excellent! So tasty and seasoned well. I’m not a big chowder person but this one…YUMMY! Got a carry out for peeled shrimp and I see what the big deal is! 😋😋😋 The waitresses were a tad inconsiderate when seating my party of 4 at the back of a 20% occupied restaurant because of reservations an hour and 15 mins ahead of us being seated. We assured the staff we were only having chowder (a quick sit down) so that we could get seated among some of the other patrons and not be ostracized like Rosa Parks! As we left the piano player came n…that was a nice touch.

This place doesn't even deserve one star.... Service is absolutely horrible . . The waitress disappears after you order and hardly returns, no napkins...nothing.....it took 45 min.to get a dozen raw oysters ... when you talk to the manager your the one made to feel like your wrong...manager was very argumentative..And a bunch of drunks hang out in the parking lot making it feel like A very unsafe environment .... Don't go there if you want a good pleasant meal and if you value your life... This place used to be good it's such a shame how bad it is now....

This place looks like a dive bar from the outside. It is also connected to the liquor store from the inside. The place seems dingy. Could use a good refreshing up. Food was tasty. We got a decent selection of foods. Small menu, not an issue with us rather have small quantity then a lot of poor choices. So my issues with the place- it’s too expensive for what you get. They aren’t accurate for the prices on the menu- chowder was listed For 11$ for a pint. We got charged 12$ for it. Waitress stated that was the price for Togo. So Togo is cheaper in here? It was not clear on the menu which you can see in my pic. Plus isn’t it illegal to charge more then you advised? Service was slow with not many tables, maybe 5 tables total. The biggest issue is that no where on the menu does it say that old bay will be dumped on some of the seafood. The last thing we got was a bunch of snow crab clusters which had a bunch of old bay on it. The waitress said they could “wash it off”, really those words. I’m not a big fan of old bay I think it’s a cop out, you have great seafood you don’t need to cover it with old bay. It takes over the flavor of the delicate crabs. Plus they put 20% gratuity on checks automatically. There is a sign saying due to Covid gratuity is added but they don’t say how much. This is straight up bullsh*t I have yet to come across any other restaurant doing this.

Great food and amazing staff!!!! We had steamed shrimp, steamed clams and garlic parmesean chicken wings. The food did not disappoint!!!!Kid-friendliness: The staff were all very welcoming and friendly with the 3 year old in our party.

The ONLY reason I had to give one star is to write my comment. Not even worth one star. Service was horrible to say the least. Two people had three plates of food before a third person had his first dish over a halh hour later because waitress was not found nor came back to table to check things. Manager was arguing with customers. Manager was what I think to young to handle situations. Food was good but took over 30 minutes to shuck 12 clams that came out like rubber for my two friends and place looked dated. Manager was called to table when check took over 40 minutes. Manager said they were short staffed but seemed to make no effert to help. They do not serparate check items for serparate checks nor make separate checks.Check looked like it was written by a five year old.

Freshest seafood !!! Quick service, thanks Falon !!!Clams on a 1/2 shell were huge and succulent, shrimps were colossal and the crab legs…. Omg so delicious, felt like was on Martha’s Vineyard except it was New Jersey after a beautiful Long Beach day at Fortescue Park. Perfect end to a gorgeous Summer Day 2023.Kid-friendliness: My 14 year old had fries !!! There is a petting zoo right in the back yard too.

Coming in from living in Texas i needed my seafood 'fix'! I got it and loved it. Soups were SO good. I mixed red & white and certainly had a good portion of chunks of seafood. Steamed claims were ok, some a little sandy. Snow crabs were excellent: big & juicy with a great cocktail sauce which was as good as the drawn butter!Can't wait to go back on my next trip in!

My mussels were delicious from here, lobster left alot to be desired but the tiramisu "that all the customers love for years." Was covered in mold!! . I wasn't rude to the waitress so I don't understand why she would serve me something that looks so sloppy & unhealthy. Then she had a passive agressive time about it, I almost flew off the handle. They need to do better.

Waited over 40 minutes to have our drink order taken. Another 30 minutes before the drinks showed up. Glad we ordered a pitcher of beer so we didn't have to wait for refills. Food was excellent, not work the wait. Wait staff was extremely slow and didn't care. If we go back it will be for take out only.

Casual place for seafood. No frills. The best cocktail sauce! We have always had friendly service very accommodating. It seems as though items are cooked to order so expect a bit of a wait. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the beverage

We love everything about this place!! The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The service is always amazing and the staff works hard to make sure you are taken care of. The seafood is delicious and fresh and the prices very affordable. We will continue to come back! I chose to go to Cap'n Cat for my bday this year and it will be a tradition every year. Don't change a thing.

Expensive but good. Lots of choices, shrimp clams, oysters, Dungeness crab, mussels. The soups are fantastic... A cup is the size of a bowl. Wings are also really good.

Place is awesome! We had a little bit of a wait cause it was super packed. They gave us some of our food for free because they thought we waited too long. Honestly it wasn't that long and we didn't even complain! We had a great time!
