Great store and private business. When I first started to get into coral the owner and staff there were very helpful and knowledgeable. I took their advice on every coral I bought from there and those corals have doubled in size and are thriving in my tank today 2 years later. When I was still learning and willing to spend a good ammount of money on something they told me to hold off for a while or get a bigger tank. Trustworthy, experienced and helpful staff. Owner knows what he is doing. I visit every chance I get.-Brian

The store was very clean and well organized. The tanks were easy to read and the prices were very reasonable (cheaper than a Petco or PetSmart). The owner was extremely knowledgeable about the fish and shrimp, and was very patient when deciding on what aquatic animals to get. The store had really neat animals, including a stingray, piranha, and other. They also had cute, small decorations that were cheap as well (skull and fake plants in image). Highly recommend going to this place over your local commercial pet store.

I love going here look at all the fish and you always end up walking out with something. These guys really know their stuff. I bought an aquarium kit and I haven't had any issues. Not one tropical fish death for 2 years!

The fish that I recently bought from this fish store have all died within a week of having them. The service at the store was great but if you’d like your fish to last a while, you’d have better luck getting them from PetSmart.

I really enjoy coming here. Good fish selection. Prices are much fairer than every other privately owned tropical fish store I’ve been to (I’ve been to a lot). Owner is cool and knowledgeable too. I really enjoy my visits here and usually end up picking something up whether it be fish or supplies.

The owner was great. My fish tank had sprung a leak and instead of trying to sell me a larger tank that I didn't need or want for fish that were inherited he offered to take the fish off my hands for free so that they could go to a better home.

Get the stingray out of that tiny tank. That fish is use to swimming in an ocean and you have it in an enclosure not even fit for a goldfish. Thats like keeping a great dane in a cage meant for chihuahua

Obviously just my experience... But I bought 5 fish and a couple plants a week and a half ago and came home from work to 3 out of 5 dead just to be told. It's probably just the individual fish not the tank their in because otherwise the other fish in the tank would be dead as well. So I probably will not be returning to buy any livestock from a place that sells bad fish and admits to it.

Rich just stopped by for a tank maintenance consultation. Very knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I haven't had a service done yet, but this place deserves 5 stars based on his customer service. Consider me a new regular customer and I'll be using his services in the future, as well as restocking my tanks with fish from his shop.

I adore this place! They are one of the few pet shops I know that actually take EXTREMELY GOOD care of their fish! (I say this as a former aquarium intern, veterinary nurse, and current wildlife biologist). Staff is very well educated on every species they sell (and then some) and everyone that works there is super chill and friendly. One of the staff members was even up to date on aquatic invasive species in NJ and seemed to actual CARE- something I did not expect and greatly appreciated!I’ve recommended this place to quite a few hobbyists (it’s the only pet store I will recommend for fish tbh) because I know the animals there are taken care of.They also have a decent dog, cat, small animal, reptile, and bird section with the basics any pet owner could need.

Rich and his employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They keep a clean shop with healthy looking fish. They carry an excellent selection of both fresh water and marine fish and can at times deliver on special orders from suppliers. They provided me free water testing when I was cycling a new tank.Overall, highly recommend them over the chain shops that tend not to have the same knowledge, care, and quality.

Both workers are nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable. the store has an amazing amount of fish, for all levels of aquariums, and some of the basic needs and wants for dogs, cats, reptiles, etc. They also have amazing saltwater fish too! and an amazing display tank in the back!

Great Fish Store with additional supplies for reptiles, dogs, cats. Great selection of fresh and saltwater fish , as well as corals. Rich is friendly and very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have. Employees are friendly and helpful as well. They also have rabbits, hamsters and land hermit crabs as well. Awesome place!

We have multiple tanks. We usually just buy from the chain pet stores but saw this place and expected better results. Every fish we’ve bought has been sick, and they have a big sign at the front that they won’t refund, replace or otherwise (I’m sure due to this being a regular issue). We bought two for an established tank a few months back that lasted a day or two. Then we bought a mini lobster that they assured was friendly and it attacked all the fish (and killed one). We brought it back and we were told “well we’ll give it a new home but you’re not getting anything back”. Must be nice to get paid twice for the same crustacean. Yesterday we went in and said we’re starting a new tank, that’s been prepped and sitting ready for several days. The kid working there went on this rant about only buying out of three tanks because of how “hardy” they are and it’s a new tank. We bought two of those, then a couple from Petsmart that we had wanted to buy here (thank god we didn’t!) The two from here were dead in less than an hour after acclimation, and there’s no way it just was from the new tank. The Petsmart fish (the same kind this kid said wouldn’t make it) are happily zipping around their new home. At least if the Petsmart fish die they’ll test the water, assist as needed AND refund or replace. This place could care less. They may be great with tank installation and knowledgeable, but don’t buy your fish here.

The owner is honest and will always provide great information for beginners or anyone interested in saltwater fish hobby. He will not try to sell you fish but guide you as to what is best for your tank and for you based on your level.Will definitely recommend this store to anyone

Randomly stopped in because I was in the neighborhood. I was able to get a nice chunk of mopani wood for my snake's tank. While most of in inventory is fish related the wood and rocks are good for reptiles too. If I need more I know where I'm going.I don't know a lot about fish but compared to other pet shops the tanks seemed very clean. There were no weird smells or anything, like some places.

The kid that works here is very nice and helpful (not the owner, the employee) and really seems to care about the fish and takes the time to answer your questions, but I get nothing but sick fish from here, which is a shame because they often have interesting species. I bought 6 khuli loaches recently, one died that same day and over the rest of the week I lost 3 more, so 4/6 died within a week. I know its not my tank - I have other fish that are healthy and I frequently test the water as well as weekly partial water changes. I managed to find a loach right as it was dying and it looked like it had internal hemorrhaging, probably from a bacterial infection that it got in the store. I took a chance buying from there because I did notice other dead fish in other tanks. Its not worth it, I won't be buying from here again. The big red sign by the cash register warning you of no refunds should have tipped me off that this happens a lot...

This is one of my favorite places in Flemington, and highly recommended. I no longer need to leave town to find a really great pet shop; nothing I know of for miles around is even close.The shop has all the usual freshwater fishes plus some fairly unusual ones, all at good prices, a wide variety of equipment, a good saltwater selection, plus some other animals and supplies in abundance for pretty much every kind of pet. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and helpful , and have gotten me - someone completely lacking in mechanical aptitude - through the assembly and repair of various items, all with good humor and genuine concern for a happy customer. They also stock an abundance of spare parts for filters and other equipment.It's easy to get to, has plenty of parking. No need to go anywhere else!
