The best in the business. We have had multiple dogs with Dr. H and staff and they are all top notch. I have learned a lot about caring and keeping animals by going to them. They are amazing to have by your side when you have a puppy all the way to the sad day they cross the rainbow bridge. He is an amazing doctor, run don’t walk here for your animals!

Dr. Heins and his staff are absolutely amazing. They always make the time to answer any question or concern we may have. Recently, our furbaby had to take a trip to RBVH. After what I am sure was a very long day, Dr. Heins took the time to personally call on his off hours to check in on our boy. They treat your furbabies as if they were their own. Since we first acquired my beloved now 14 yr. old " pup", Dr. Heins has provided him with the most extraordinary care and compassion. Dr. Heins has proven many times over to be a singularly gifted diagnostician who also is invariably kind to all of his clients, each of whom(I have referred a no. people) receives incredibly personalized care. When he knows you're worried about a test result, even when after hours, he will call as soon as he receives it to discuss fully. I could not imagine a more kind, and knowledgeable veternarian.

I highly recommend Dr. Heins and his caring staff.Under Dr. Heins care, my golden doodle lived to 13 1/2 and my pug lived to almost 15 years old. Dr. Heins operated on my pug and removed two cancers and gratefully she lived another 8 years. He is a highly skilled and compassionate veterinarian. Hands down the best vet! We have been to others and weren't impressed. Then we met Dr. Heins. He has phenomenal bedside manner with both the animals and their owners. He listens and answers all your questions thoughtfully and respectfully. He doesn't rush through an exam or your questions because he truly wants the best for you and your pet. We love that Dr. Heins doesn't push medication or vaccines unless he feels it's the best course of action. More than anything, we love that our sometimes skittish dog is comfortable with him.

Dr. Heins is wonderful. I have very timid rescue dog and he is so very gentle with her. He does thorough exams and addresses all my concerns and answers all of my questions. Very loving toward all the animals in his care. The staff are also very friendly, animal lovers who make everyone feel at ease.

Excellent doctor, pleasant staff, very nice & spotlessly clean facility. Dr Heintz took plenty of time to get to know both of our dogs and we were not rushed in any way. He has a very lovely kind and comforting demeanor to him that the dogs respond to and relax,,,.and he and staff were very gentle & kind in handling both of our dogs. Reasonable prices. parking lot in back.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Heins at Two Rivers Veterinary Hospital this week. I was impressed with the time he took with my senior English Setter. He did a very thorough exam, immediately aspirated some lumps/bumps I was concerned about and most importantly understood and agreed with my plans for her future care. The cost was reasonable. His assistant, Karen, was very competent, focused and kind. I will also be bring my other dog to Two River Veterinary Hospital. Patricia McMahon

Dr. Heins and his safe are amazing. I came in for an emergency visit with my very sick dog, they were able to help her tremendously. Any time a pet is sick it is very scary and easy to become frantic. With their help they made me feel calm and comfortable while putting my dog at ease. The care you receive at this office is amazing if ever in need this is the office to go to.

As someone who followed Dr. Heins from Red Bank Veterinary Hospital to his practice at Two Rivers Animal Hospital, I can say with certainty that this man is the best veterinarian I've ever encountered. He carefully explains all treatment options available, never pushes unnecessary treatments, and provides the highest standard of care for his patients. I've never once felt rushed, or that any question I had was unimportant, and his genuine concern for the well-being of my dogs has always been obvious and very appreciated. When I moved to Edison from Monmouth County, I tried a local veterinarian and there was just no comparison, so I went right back to Fair Haven and Two Rivers Animal Hospital, despite the 45-minute ride. After more than 20 years of knowing Dr. Heins, there is no one I trust more to care for my pets.

Dr Heins was recommended to me and unfortunately he had only seen my senior Jack Russell one time before she succumbed to old age. I brought her to Two Rivers to be put to sleep and we were treated like we had been going there forever. The entire staff was so supportive, patient and kind during that most difficult time. And I will be forever grateful to them. If and when I do get another pet, I will surely be returning to them. I would recommend them a thousand times over!

Dr Heins is such a knowledgeable and caring Vet, he is terrific! He will always do what’s best for your pet and you, money is secondary. His staff is kind and take great care of you. The only challenge is that Dr Heins is so popular that you may have to wait past your appointment time, he is well worth it.

I wouldn't bring my dogs any place else. I love Dr. Heins and trust him implicitly with the health of my dogs. I recently had to put down my dog of 15 years which was terribly heartbreaking.
