This by far is the best pet store. EVERYONE is so helpful and they take time to assist everyone that enters the store. The employees are all knowledgeable about animals and you can find ANYTHING you could possibly want for your four legged best friend. Love you guys!!!

The young man that was working yesterday was very helpful. The employees will always welcome you when you come into the store, but sometimes, depending on who is working, they are not very helpful, polite bit stay at the register and do not ask if they can help you. Yesterday the young man appeared to really want to assist me with anything I may have needed or with any questions I may have. Good job young man!

I stopped in one day last week during my lunch break and was happy to see that Brittany, who normally works in the River Edge store, was working in the Englewood location that day, which I was happy about because Brittany is a step above some of the other employees I've encountered at various Pet Valu locations. Most are friendly, but not always knowledgeable or helpful. There's one girl in the Emerson location that is downright rude so I don't let my dog anywhere near her nor do I want her help, and there are others at other locations who mean well, but shove treats down my dog's throat before I can even give them permission to do so or inform them "no thanks" since he has allergies and I'm pretty strict about what I give him. Brittany, however, is a breath of fresh air because not only is she friendly and helpful, but she is knowledgeable and is willing to ask questions and discuss options with you at length on how you can help your pooch live their best life. It's frustrating trying to narrow down what allergens are triggering my pooch's allergic reactions since he has both seasonal and contact allergies. Brittany is ENTHUSIASTIC and seems GENUINE about discussing his condition, as well as sympathetic to the frustration I (and other pet owners) feel about how vets sometimes overprescribe antihistamines and steroids without discussing the ROOT CAUSE of the allergies. She understands that many pet owners don't want to just treat the symptoms, but rather determine the root cause and avoid it if at all possible to prevent allergic reactions in the first place. On top of that, stop by one of the stores she's working at and you'll quickly notice how much she cares about the adoption pets in store and overall condition of the store. You just don't see that kind of work ethic that often anymore in younger generation, and this is coming from one "millennial" to another.

When it was time to celebrate my friends dog's birthday; an associate had in stock a dog cake that.was edible. I was quite surprised to find a dog friendly biscuit cake.

Comprehensive and recently expanded and updated ShopRite supermarket and well-stocked and competitively price freestanding SR liquor store. Usually adequate parking and an attractive balance of other small mall businesses.

I only bought a betta fish from this stor but from what i saw inside thay have everything you could want for your pet but thay don't sell pets.

Most of these pet shops are over priced and just about anything you find at these stores could be found at Walmart or other low end chains for at least 40% cheaper,If money is not an option and you dont want to waste time in the larger stores then these stores are the way to go as they are scaled down and normally you can find what you need within minutes,
