Typically a good spot and convenient self check out with some good variety of items but... Double check your items before purchasing. Bought a box of chicken stock and got it home the seal was open and some was used. Obvious return. Very disappointing.

This store has the most friendliest and helpful staff . I was iso the biggest Purina come and get it dog food. I went into DG market They had the dog food great price & They put The gigantic bag in my vehicle I highly recommend shopping here.Thank you

Was there today, at 130pm. Asked the girl ringing me up if there was any more dry cat food on the carts. She said maybe someday the trucks will come in that have it and you can come back. So I went and asked someone if the dry cat good was on the carts. She said yes but we won't get to it today. So I said I guess I'm out of luck. She said sorry. No one seems interested in their job

Nice clean and fairly new store here in Elmer. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. The store has a pretty extensive cold food section and a lot of good choices like eggs milk butter... The Staples and plenty of other things for a quick meal.

I wish the employees would wear mask . One didn’t have one on at all and the manager had hers down below her nose which is the same as not wearing one. I wore mine to protect them I just wish the had the same courtesy to protect there customers .also they do not clean there carts or supply you with any type of cleaning supply’s to clean your cart.

This DG is by far the largest as far as square footage therefore the layout is spacious, not crowded with boxes of merchandise in the store - in the aisles, blocking access to merchandise. Since the obvious change in management, it's been a pleasant experience - staff is friendly, attentive often asking if you need assistance& helping if you do.

At this Dollar General it's always clean and organized and the staff is always friendly.Now as far as the company and lighting inside their buildings, sometimes you might want to take a flashlight with you to be able to see.Dollar General should have went with LEDs if you're only going to put a limited amount of light bars in your store.

Great Place! It has a front and back parking lot entrance! Big store with lots of items and great low prices and very clean with friendly employees! I highly recommend coming here if you live in or around Elmer in Salem County, NJ! It is very convenient for the people of Elmer and the people who live around it!

This store is kind of depressing to all into. Its dimly lit, there was water in an aisle with no employee in site trying to clean it. There was stuff and carts all through out. Most of the shelves were empty (they looked like we just had a hurricane or huge snow storm).I did not have any interaction with the employees. So I cannot speak to that subject.

The store is constantly understaffed, messy, more product in aisles than on shelves, disorganized, very dark(half the lights don't work) hard to get assistance, parking lot is not maintained in bad weather (snow and ice). This is not an Elmer dollar general problem, it's like this at every dollar general.

They dont have alot of the items i NEED in stock. The customer service can completely be worked on. Policey is they r to greet customers when entering the building. I didnt even know there was an employee in the building. I always wasnt thanked or told to come again. If Dollar General wasnt the only store in the town that I live I would avoid going to the store. I think its time too switch up the staff in the store. Maybe get employees that cherish their jobs and ones that understand they are getting paid to do the job they are asked to do. Maybe even employees that care about the customers. These are just my thoughts. If it was my store my employees would know their jobs and if the job I pay them to do isnt done correctly there would be some actions taken.

Love Dollar General, of course the prices are amazing well priced, even the higher priced ticket items. The one in Elmer is so convenient for me and my family, there's really never any waiting time to check out and it's never crowded.

Was shopping and have to urgently use the bathroom was told it was for employees only contacted the corporate office and was told the bathroom should be use for customers and employees hope something is done in the near future

This store looks like a sh*thole. It looks run down and dingy, they never have what I need especially in the pet department. I always have to leave and go somewhere else, wasting my time. Last week I was rung up by the ASM, she was so busy talking to an employee about wawa coffee that she did not greet me at all when she started ringing me up, and was talking to the other employee the entire time. I think that will be my last time going there. There is just a gloomy, unprofessional vibe in that store. Thank you, next.

Having had another back surgery and in need of an appliance light bulb I went to the Dollar General before a follow up doctor visit. Both pegs were empty but the cashier got on a stool and looked around up top and found one stray bulb. I would never post something as mundane as a trip to the Dollar General, but I was very grateful for her help. Normally I would be the one looking to help someone. I am not short, but with a massive back brace I was the one in need of assistance this time. Thank you cashier at 11:20 (ish) today 9/25/2018.

It's been great having a DG in town to make quick trips for items that IGA doesn't have or are too expensive. Line gets surprisingly backed up sometimes due to only 1 cashier normally.

Great place to shop. This store is a little behind getting stock to shelves and sale prices occasionally will not be in the computer.... still a friendly place to shop for all your needs.
