I'll proudly admit I'm an ice-cream connoisseur. Especially custard! That said, when I read the rave reviews (albeit many said pricey) I HAD to take my kiddo and dog for a late night treat!They close at 10pm and we arrived at 9:54. It wasn't intentional and I do hate order so close to closing, but heck, it WAS a Saturday night AND at the shore so what the heck!?I initially wanted cheesecake custard and chocolate custard (in a cup since I was driving) but was told they were sold out of the cheesecake. I got amaretto and vanilla (mixed much to my dismay) and it didn't disappoint! Considering the sweltering temps, the custard wasn't too runny and held its consistency. The amaretto was a bit overpowering (I wanted to taste the vanilla beam) and had me craving a nutty Irishman!My son got a hot fudge Sunday and was disappointed. While the custard was OK in his boom, the hot fudge wasn't remotely lukewarm and thats his favorite part. I understand we were there late, however, cold hot fudge is a no-no.My bill was almost $10 and I do feel thats a bit jacked, however, its the shore and the cost of vacation. It will not stop me from going back, just not as often.Overall, it was a good experience and I'll call ahead for the cheesecake custard next time. Or perhaps try some hand dipped.As a side note, the selection for dog-friendly treats was subpar. Nothing was suitable for my dog... we did however have some entertainment in the safety of my vehicle as we enjoy our treats!

I had never heard of this place until a friend brought me here, and ever since, I've loved it here! I love the different soft serve options, my personal favorite is banana with chocolate sprinkles. This is me and my friend's all-time favorite ice cream place!

Wow, what a price increase for a large soft ice cream cone. I know inflation at 8.9% has caused businesses to raise prices, but 21%? Come on. The ice cream is very good and would give 5 Stars but not the price. Tried the custard stand on Zion Rd. $4 for a large, and I do mean large, soft ice cream cone.Sir, I respectfully disagree with your response. Last season and upon reopening this season, we paid a bit under $10 for 2 large soft ice creams on a cone. Now the price is $11.24 for 2. With that said, ice cream is very good.Stopped by today, a year later, and sure enough prices up once again. $6.25 for a large custard. Last year the owner responded and said they had not raised the price which was NOT TRUE. Back to Zion Road where the price is $4.50.

Came here this past Sunday for Father’s Day ice cream with family. Plenty of desserts to choose from. They have have tables to sit and enjoy.

This business has a few irresistible ice cream flavors. The price is very reasonable just a bit higher than a dairy queen. I appreciated the friendly customer service which encouraged my second visit to the shop. The first time they did not have caramel and rum in stock but the vanilla was delicious. Tonight, I ordered caramel, vanilla, and rum flavors. Again the rum was out of stock but I got to finally try the caramel. I will return to try other flavors, I was not a fan of the caramel.

Not too much flavor, all the ice creams tasted like vanilla, my strawberry shake tasted like vanilla with strawberry powder, pretty disappointed and underwhelming especially with the price they are charging.

Very good, but I didn't try the 32 flavors of soft serve. I did have a twist with chocolate dip that was good, but the chocolate dip wasn't the best. Overall a pretty solid option 🍦

Service was fast and friendly. Got a small vanilla cone with peanut butter dip. I'd get chocolate dip next time as the peanut butter tasted too fake, which I know sounds dumb because peanut butter topping that hardens upon covering ice cream is not found in nature and so it's clearly processed.

Friendly staff, delicious ice cream, and a bright and colorful atmostphere. What's not to love? They offer seating outside with picnic tables and umbrellas, and there's also an attached pizza place if you'd rather have lunch before dessert.

This places ice cream is fire! They have the 24+ flavors and they are all good the blueberry mixed with strawberry is the best with their peanut crunches are the main reason i come lol you can mix and match flavors all you want they encourage it. Definitely 5for5 stars from this fuel and her family

I've been to Lloyd's numerous times within the last year. This place is the best place for custard in South NJ. I'm not exactly sure why there is even 1 negative review here. Love the staff, owner is the greatest and their custard is second to none. I guess people just find any reason to complain.

What happened to reasonable portions and fair pricing?? I understand inflation but you guys are ridiculous!!! I’m done giving you my business!! Was there a few days ago and was surprised by the pricing. Went back today to find ridiculous portions along with high prices!! DONE!!!

Always an issue! Portions are not consistent and prices are higher than local competitors. They also sneak in extra charges!!! Ordered a strawberry banana milkshake from their list of milkshake flavors and was then charged an extra .75 cents for the banana in the shake without being told or any signage stating the charge! When complained to the girl that customers should be made aware of extra charges I wasn't given a response and they had already processed my credit card!

Lloyd's is good. not the best ice cream, not the worst. the lines move pretty quickly. they have a lot of soft serve flavors which is cool. not bad for a neighborhood ice cream joint.

Why did you advertise 24 SOFT SERVE flavors when you don’t really have 24 SOFT SERVE flavors? I ordered strawberry and vanilla soft serve. I got vanilla soft serve and strawberry hard ice cream.that doesn’t seem like soft serve to me. Lies, deceit, and disappointment.

Great place for ice cream. Gets busy fast in the summer. Large selection of flavors. Soft serve, hard ice cream, italian/water ice. A great way to relax and enjoy a cold, refreshing treat.

Their swiper would not read my card, and instead of trying to figure out what was wrong with their system, all 3 employees stopped what they were doing to swarm the window, acting like I was attempting to rob them. They even had the nerve to add a "convenience fee" of 75 cents for using a card (once it finally swiped through)! FYI: it's illegal in NJ to charge ANYTHING to swipe a debit card, and illegal to charge more than 4% for CREDIT CARD transactions, AND you MUST tell the customer UPFRONT that there is a surcharge. My debit card should have NOT have had any extra fees! Once our desserts arrived, 1 cone was wet and stale and the ice cream tasted vaguely of mold. When I asked for napkins, they gave me 1 napkin ... for 3 people. There is a pizza place attached, which does not have a bathroom of any kind - a huge sign on the door at least warns patrons of that, but still ... wut? There is too much good custard (and pizza) in South Jersey to waste your time and tastebuds on this place: avoid.EDIT: AFTER ALL THAT FUSS - THEY CHARGED MY CARD A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES.HILARIOUS.NEVER AGAIN.

So we went to Lloyds for some ice cream and they no longer have frozen yogurt. Not even basic vanilla frozen yogurt. So they can no longer serve people with allergies or lactose issues. Guess they don't mind losing customers. We will be going to Littles from now on.

Portions are small and inconsistent. I ordered a small cone for myself and a baby cone for my daughter and they were both the same size. Even though this was clear, I was still charged the higher price for the small cone. Very expensive compared to other ice cream stands. I won't be back.

Cool spot for some Ice Cream. Located on a country road on your way to the beach. Has some interesting features that draw you in. They have tons of flavors. Something for everyone.

Been going to Lloyd's for 4 years when I moved to the area permanently. Ice cream is so good. My favorite is the vanilla swirly freeze with peanut butter cups!
