customer service was good so im not going to give it an awful review but the habitats for the reptiles are extremely depressing. i feel like even non-reptile owners would know this isn’t okay. it’s risky to cohab two geckos, let alone god knows how many are in this tank. it’s hella messed up and you’d think a company who’s business is to sell these animals would know better. extremely disheartening to see this.

This was my first time here and honestly was very impressed. So clean and organized. Got greated casually twice by employees working as they passed by. One was the manager Alex, he directed us to the area for cats. Once we picked our tree out another employee working saw us. He actually came over and offered to take it up to the registers for us as we continued to shop. At the register, there was a very friendly cashier Shane. He was very aware and efficent. There was a moment where we needed a price check and he politely apologized and explained that he couldn't leave his area but assured us he was getting assistance. Within less than 60 seconds he was able to complete our transaction. This store will be my go to from now on. What a great experience and great staff.

Had a wonderful experience at Petco in Eatontown. We purchased a parakeet and Alexus was SO helpful. She was very knowledgeable and steered us towards other useful products. The birds are kept very well and they spend the time to make sure they are used to human hands and contact. It’s also very obvious how well kept and cared for all the animals are looked after!

Grooming and training is great! Stefani was wonderful handling my Bailey when she got groomed, gave me a thorough overview about how my pup handled the process and made sure to groom her exactly how I asked. Shane for training is fabulous- extremely knowledgeable and flexible for appointments and if I need to reschedule.For those who complain about prices - just sign up for the rewards card. You’ll get a bunch when you sign up. Also, just ask! If you’re nice about it, trust me, they are happy to help if they can! All of the staff tries to help :)

Staff of women were all gathered in a circle in the center of the store chatting right by the cat section and didn’t acknowledge me as I was looking for something specific. When I found the item (ZenCone), laid on a shelf, I checked it out to find that it looks used and there is no packaging around it like any of the others that were brand new on the shelf. My dog is severely injured and just got surgery so the last thing I wanted was a used and dirty cone. So I proceeded up to the register and asked if there were possibly any more in the back, the girl rudely said whatever we have is out on the floor. Then I was telling her how it looked used and dirty with pet fur and she said it was fine and was probably just misplaced somewhere. I had to pick up a phone call from the veterinary hospital and the girl at the register was staring at me like I was wasting precious moments of her life by not finishing my transaction in -2.5 seconds. There was an extremely long, NONEXISTENT line. Great staff selection, petco…. Would never recommend coming here to anyone.

Two bags of extremely expensive puppy food was left behind. It totaled over $92.00. I called the store manager when I realized I did not come home with the products. She was unwilling to help. She told me NO REFUND & TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCTS AGAIN. The products were left behind because the cashier did not bag the products properly and add them to my bags. I assumed all that I bought was in the bags. Apparently NOT! This manager has the discretion to help you. I have spent an enormous amount of money in this store and the manager was NOT HELPFUL, RUDE and UNCARING. This is not a store that stands behind it's customers! RUN FAR FROM HERE! Go to PETSMART, OR CHEWY for your products. This manager should not even be in retail much less handling the needs of your pets!

The people working at this Petco are very kind. Tip- make sure to check the price of EVERYTHING online be for you buy in store. Prices are often 10-70% cheaper and they will price match everything for you at the register if you show them the listing!!!

We stood in the store 10-15 minutes waiting to purchase an animal, not one person asked if we needed help. Important note: 3 female associates standing near us by the fish, gossiping and complaining about customers. Horrible customer service

We were disappointed. We went for feeder fish for my son. I spent more and received less at this location compared to the other pet store we normally go to. The attendant counted every little $0.20 fish by hand and in the end instead of getting four dozen only received three dozen. The other pet store we go to in Hazlet gives us scoops of fish. I think they sell the generous portions as a way of attracting customers. It works we buy other things while we are there which brings in the real revenue and it's the only place that we think about going to. They take care of us and we take care of them.

I frequent this store at least once a month for all of my animal supplies. Staff are always friendly and know what they are talking about. I had an employee who went above and beyond recently. She went into the back to get something that was out on the shelves without me even asking for it just because she overheard me talking about it. This young lady especially is very knowledgeable with anything in fish and aquatic plants department as well. Always very helpful and I ask a lot of questions. lol.

When my friend & I walked in a young man greeted us and asked if he could help us. We said we were looking for a specific type of dog toy and he took us right over to what we were looking for and advised us on what he thought would be a good purchase. It was a very nice and friendly atmosphere in the store and when we checked out he asked for our #'s so we could get credit for shopping there yesterday.

I am totally satisfied with the service and new location of the Ocean Petco. The employees are genuinely helpful. Sarah spent time with me personally assisting me setup my online rewards even at 8:59 pm. Instead of telling me to do it at home.Bob's fish knowledge is great. I ask tons of questions and he patiently answers everything and more. I have been in other local chain pet stores and never feel the level of helpfulness and amazing customer service that Ocean Petco provides. Only place I buy fish supplies

My goto pet supply store. Sales are good for the most part and it's close by. High ratings for the most part. Dropped a star for a couple incidents not related to the store, but the app and email coupons.I received an email coupon for a free bag of food valued at $19.99. I chose a flavor that was priced at $19.99. Once the discount was applied, the dog food was discounted $14.99 instead of the full price. Not the fault of the store, but the coupon didn't process correctly through scanning from the email.I go there regularly so it's not a big deal. It has happened previously while using the app. Better coordination between the stores and app promotions would help.

I have been a customer at Petco for a very long time, however this is the first time I utilized the online/pickup service. I received an email confirming my order and then another when I could pick up my purchase. I was very impressed how customer service handled my order, someone was at the door and gave me my order and I left, less than five minutes.

I love this store. I have Guinea pigs and I've noticed the past few times I've been there they have lacked the oxbow crunchy hay. Just the grassy one. And the oxbow multi vitamins. This is the one in eatontown New Jersey. The staff is great and very pleasant. Just need to stock up in the small animal department

Two employees stocking cat food were very helpful. Gave me great suggestions and weren't bothered by my anxious dog. The cashier was also super friendly and efficient. Great store.
