I don't believe in writing negative reviews for small businesses generally but I must here. My dog was groomed here with the previous owner - never had an issue. Groomers have spoken to me specifically about how cooperative and sweet he was in sessions. Under new management, my dog came out hurt for the first time ever from a groom. The fact that the groomer completely ignored my reference photo was a mild inconvenience. The fact that they didn't shave my doodle's legs or paws out claiming he doesn't like to be touched on the legs/paws was a lazy excuse at best as this was never an issue with any other groomer or at home. The fact that they only clipped the nails on three of his four paws and did a hack sanitary trim was just further evidence of lazy work. But the fact that they did such a bad job with clipping his nails that the nails are splintered all over the place, my dog is is pulling his paw away when trying to touch the dew claw they clipped and limping on that paw tells me that they should not be grooming dogs.

walked in to make my first appointment, the girl at the front outlined the package (groom, bath, ear and teeth cleaning). I added one other treatment and made my appointment for 12:30. I get a confirmation text and then another one immediately after canceling it. It was then followed for a new time at 8:30 in the morning. I was nearby walked back in to ask about the changing times and she acted like my appointment was always in the morning until I showed her the original text. I keep the new one only to show up this morning to them only wanting to bathe my dog. I am extremely frustrated. First, they move my appointment without asking or a warning and then they change the services completely. AGAIN, acting like that’s what I asked for. I will not be returning they are unprofessional.

Don't waste your time or money. I took my dog there and requested a level cut. My dog cut was not what I requested and uneven. I called them and was told there's nothing they could do. What a way to treat a customer. I would give customer service a zero.

Went to Doggie Den for years. Now there is a new owner which is not on the premises and my dog's grooming was not the same. She hardly had her face trimmed. Her legs and tail looked like they were untouched. Will not be going back.

Firts if all, I'm not one to take time to do reviews, but this one is needed! I have to get this out of my chest.I had been bringing my dog to Doggies Den for a year before I learned in November that the business had been sold and was under new management; My neighbor, who also owns a dog and I had recommended this business for grooming, brought her pet and her experience was so bad, that she called me the minute she picked her dog up and warned me. I waited for a month before I decided to walk in and spoke to Jonathan! He was very nice and as soon as I explained why I was there to see how the place waa running before I brought my dog again, he said he was baffled because he only had good reviews. Well, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them a try; I showed numerous pictures to Jonathan and he took pictures for his records, because he explained when the new management took over, the majority of the records did not transfer over.I enrolled my pet in the 4 week program and he gave me a price that was not honored today to begin with, but the best part is that I walked in at 9:45am and no one was at the front desk; my appointment was at 10:00am .... rang the bell 6 times while standing there and tried calling 5 times to the number that was written on the board as soon as you walk in( I even took a picture) . I started yelling "Hello" 10 minutes later because I heard the people in the back and they were having conversations; finally Leslie showed up at 10:03am, her explanation was that they had the blow dryers on and they couldn't hear me. When I told her I had been calling, she said the number on the board was wrong! She would change it right after I left because when I came back it was a different number. I asked her if she had written specifications of how I liked my dog groomed and she said No! So, I went down the line with her, showed her multiple pictures and she took pictures of my pictures just lije Jonathan did; I explained how I exactly liked my dog to look, and I asked her if it would be possible to pick him up at 12ish because I had an appointment at 12:30pm and she said yes; she actually told me she would text me 20 minutes before he was ready. I got a text message at 12:16pm, I start to head out and to my surprise.... My dog looked exactly the way I left him. I can assure you and ANYONE my dog was not even bathed.... I know how my dog specifically looks when he comes out of Grooming! His paws were the same color of brownish yellow instead of pure white as he normally looks when groomed... His face, the eye area just as brown as it looked when I dropped him off... they cut the hair around the head and apparently he was moving a lot (according to Leslie "He is a jumper" ) so it's ugly uneven.... the texture of the hair overall was the same as when I dropped him off... I know my dog, I brush my dog and when he comea feom grooming his hais is so straight and fluffy.... I picked him up, his nails super sharp and I had asked to cut and buff nails, Leslie brought him to the back again to come back and tell me that the groomer had said she never cut nor buffed his nails because he was moving a lot... and she was going to charge me $28.00 extra dollars for that, for doing NOTHING! She never asked the groomer what she had or hadn't done, and to top it off she kept calling him a "SHE" ... I told her, I get he may look like a girl but he's a boy and you should know working here what gender the dog you're working on or about to bring out is! I asked her a second time how much do I owe you and she kept charging me for nail cutting and buffing... i had to tell her to remove that charge, for work they had never done! How DISSATISFIED AND DISSAPOINTED at my, that I decided to sit here and write a terrible review. It was bad since I walked in, I should've known better. I was still charged an amount of dollars, that I seriously feel I shouldn't hace had to pay. I don't mind paying, if I'm satisfied but this was a horrible experience. I expect a phone call from Jonathan if he doesn't want to loose a customer.

Horrible new management and groomer! My Cavapoo has been there many times and his most recent visit they didn't trim his chest at all or his head and they buzz cut his neck by accident and left him looking crazy.

been going to Doggie Den for years .. took them in January to the new owner .. first off, they were there for four hours and they never finished my Maltese .. the girls didn’t speak English and the owner wasn’t there .. prices were the same .. owner talked a good game .. but the grooming, even their baths were subpar .. they didn’t even know my maltipoo was missing .. he was in front of the ‘new’ curtain in the window .. we drove past a few times .. sadly, I don’t know where else to take them .. if anyone has suggestions, pls let me know

Took my dog there just once and he came out with multiple abrasions close to his private area and his ear was red and itchy. When I spoke with the owner all she said was really hmmm ok ok sorry, I will give you 10 dollars off next time. Nope no next time, I had to go and spend more money to treat my dogs abrasions and itchy ear.

Doggie Den has always been a reliable go to when we lived in Cresskill. Now that we are in Fort Lee the grooming swrvices are extremely over priced for fewer services. We got the luxury spa bath, nails trimmed, anal glands, and ears less than $80 for 17 pd Cavachon

Believe me, when I tell you, if I was able to give this place a zero I would.I will attach photos to back up my truth I took my Frenchie so this lady can groom,cut his nails and clean his ears. I go to pick up my Frenchie and she tells me everything is done. I get in my car and I just look at my Frenchie and I was baffled to notice. His nails were half cut he wasn’t bathed and they didn’t clean his ears I called the lady and all she tells me was that she did everything and hung up if you really care about your pet and don’t want to waste money stay away from this place.

I was happy with experience. It was the first time they cut Rosie, it was a little short on top but that's OK. They cut her nails really well. And the price was the same. Bonus was that this is 4 minutes from my house.

Took my dog here for the first time today and they did not disappoint. I gave her 17 different types of haircuts to do and she brought out my pup with the best haircut he's ever gotten! Definitely bringing him here only from now on! The cage free environment does make me nervous however i came back to my dog actually engaging to the other dogs which never happens! Thank you for the great service not only for my dog and myself but my nephew too who did not want to leave the playpen!! The lady i met definitely loves her job and is a true sweetheart!!

I took my puppy peanut there and I told them what hair cut I preferred (which was a bit complicated) but they delivered just that!! I love the open space that they have for her to just run everywhere! The staff was amazing & kind. You can tell that they love all the fur friends that come here. I’ve never been so pleased with a groomers until now!! Highly recommend to everyone & the prices are amazing as well!! If I could rate higher than a 5 I defenitely would’ve!

Why I given them 2 stars. Because I left 2 of my shih tzu for grooming at 11:30am waited for like 3 hours. I call them up to check of my dogs they told is not ready yet that at 4:30pm will be ready 😡 I when to pick them

Love this place and their service is exceptional. Been going here for over a year and am always happy with the results. The staff are kind and show that they care and love what they do. They were kind enough to accommodate my dog the same day I called plus another dog that we recently adopted. I didn’t expect much to be accommodated for my second dog but they graciously squeezed him in too. We will happily continue to patronize Doggies’ Den.

My dog was VERY dehydrated leaving this spa to the point I almost had to take him to the vet. Maybe the Asian lady I got was a former felon or something with the attitude she had with us, but I would NEVER come back here again. Truly unsettling. If you call yourself a groomer, how are you seriously not even going to offer WATER to ANY dogs? I’ve asked a few people around town who had the misfortune and they all say the same thing, they don’t even give them water. Should have their license taken away and charged

I took my dog Melvin to Doggies’ Den Grooming for the first time today from a recommendation of a friend of mine and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The place is clean, inviting to both fur babies and owners..there’s a gated play area for the dogs and cats to run around while they’re waiting. The staff is very friendly and professional- you can tell they’re all animal lovers. Most importantly, the service was quick and prices were right. He left with a smile on his face, a new Christmas bandana, and some treats for later! We will be repeat customers. Thanks Doggies’ Den! ❤️

My beagle basset hound loves it❤ and returns like a princess. She gets the regular bath along with de shedding; no shedding for 3 weeks! Customer service is good and easy to work with since my dog hates leaving momma. We regularly take her here.

Just tried Doggies’ Den for the 1st time and we were very happy with the results. I’ve been meaning to have my dog groomed there since it is very close to home but I just kept putting it off. We will now take Cuppy there every time- her fur not only smelled great but it was well groomed and styled. The groomers know what they’re doing; much better than when I used to take my dog to Petco. I was pleasantly surprised by the cute bow they placed on Cuppy’s collar when I went to pick her up. It was a nice finishing touch. Staff are friendly and accommodating and even asked if I was ok with the height of the cut fur since it was my first time. The prices are fair and reasonable. You won’t be disappointed.

I took my small Maltese there for grooming. To my greatest surprise and disappointment, he was attacked, scratched and blooded on his neck by another dog. The place has no safety measures and all pets are kept in one place. Obviously there is no staff to watch the pets in such environment. This is highly hazardous environment for the pets. I would not recommend the place until they implement proper safety measures.

Tried this new Grooming Facility in Dumont, results were amazing. My morkie loved his oatmeal bath & haircut came out great. The workers really care about animals & their work shows it. I highly reccomend this hidden gem!!

So Happy with this groomer. We went to a groomer in Tenafly for years even though we were unhappy with their grooming expertise. Our Bichon now looks like a Bichon and not a Poodle! Yay
