We have been bringing our golden retriever, Leia to Scenthound since they opened. She always gets the basic hygiene with a blow dry and comes out looking squeaky clean and smelling amazing! The staff is friendly and you can tell that they really love working with dogs and Leia really loves the staff. Also want to add that they were able to let us know that Leia had a double ear infection before we noticed. Took her to the vet and were able to get treatment right away.

I have been going to scenthound for about 2 months and I love it! They care for our pup so much and he always come home smelling fresh as can be! The manager is very kind along with the staff. Selma went above and beyond with getting me the information that I needed for my pup! I can’t say enough great things about this place. If you have a dog, get the membership!! It’s BEYOND worth it! I look forward to it every month :)

MollyJones and Desmond Jones are getting use to this special treatment each month. Bulldogs tend to be a bit hesitant with strange places, but the staff are all dog lovers and these two know it. Great service!!

This was my first time at a groomers and I was very pleased with the service at Scenthound. The person at the desk listened carefully to what I wanted and snapped a few photos to show the groomer of how I wanted Joya's face. I was very happy.

They’re very thorough and truly care about your pets well-being and health. My dog has very sensitive skin and this is the first place where we left and he’s been very happy and comfortable. I got him groomed recently and he looks amazing. I was able to get an appointment right away and communicated with very friendly staff! Highly recommend!

I'm on a multi-state road trip with my dog and she needed a nail trim. They were able to accommodate me as a walk in. Everyone was very warm and friendly. And most importantly Gigi got her nails did.

Everyone is so nice. Staff and groomers. They really care about your pet. Products are great for my dog Penny who needs hypoallergenic. They offer different shampoo options at different fur levels of your pet. She smells amazing and looks great when we pick her up. So happy with services all around.

First off, the staff was VERY friendly and considerate. They even called me back to make sure I had chosen the length I really wanted because the display of lengths is kind of misleading.The staff said they don't do breed specific cuts, which I find odd as almost all dogs that need to be groomed regularly have a breed cut and it's a very standard part expectation for groomers. They did try their best to maintain my dogs facial cut in spite of that and match him to a photo I showed.However, when it comes down to the actual trim my dog has a lot of odd and uneven lengths. His chest also has two bald patches that I noticed when we got home and I'm pretty puzzled about how they got there. His nails were cut well, but that's really the only thing I was truly satisfied with.My dog is one of the most docile clients a groomer or vet can get, and the staff said so themselves. Which leads me to say that the poor cut quality wouldn't be due to him being resistant, aggressive, or anything of that nature.Pricing was outrageous for the results, and definitely not competitive with the other groomers in the area. I'm not a confrontational person, so I didn't say anything directly to the staff, but I definitely won't be spending almost $100 for my 19lbs dog to be groomed there again. I was severely disappointed because the membership concept seemed interesting to me.Ultimately, the staff was kind and attentive, but their skill level is not where it should be, especially for the cost.

I brought my dog here for the first time and now I know why it takes 15 minutes. After paying I got my dog back soaking wet in January! Absolute waste of money. They didn’t trim all of her nails because they were “afraid” of the black spots. I heard that and to mean that means they don’t have professionals working in the back. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Shannon is the best! She does such a wonderful job grooming our Mini-Bernedoodle! You can tell how much she loves her work by the way she treats our puppy! Whole staff shows their attention to each dog walking through the door to keep our pets safe and comfortable;)

This was our second visit to Scenthound in Denville. Blue, our husky, came back beautifully groomed and smelling sweet. They did a great job and his groomer Shannon made sure he enjoyed his visit. The front receptionist was exceptional & provides some additional info on huskies. Would recommend to others.

The associates are all very nice and my dog smelled good. I guess I was mistaken or misled that this was a place to go for grooming but I did have that discussion with original person who scheduled us. This is more of an other service place. My dog got the worst haircut we have ever experienced. It is crooked, not appropriate (although during the intro call I was assured they had several dogs of this breed they cut), and still had puffs of hair falling off when he was brought out to us. He had not been brushed post cut because it is very easily identified by his hair. So very disappointing.

The people were nice and friendly, though a little pushy to sell memberships. Place was clean(it is brand new).Here are my issues: (has more to do with it being a chain as most of my issues are with their pricing and not the people at the place):Memberships are 35 a month (plus a one-time 30 registration fee). The 35 a month includes what they call basic service which includes bath, nail trim and teeth brushing. Does NOT include drying them. I did a trial run for my 2 dogs and got membership price of 35 for each dog to try. Blow drying was an extra 24 per dog. So I went for the towel dry. One of my dogs was soaking wet - almost dripping. Water and hair all over my car. Don’t even think they ran a brush through their coats. I mentioned it and they said he was towel dried. So, basically, if you really want to get your dog washed and dried monthly and you don’t want to get your car wet the membership is really going to cost you 53 a month. Also, I read that you should only bathe your dog quarterly especially if they have short hair, so why would I want to pay monthly? Membership might be good for some but not for me. If I continue to go there without a membership, it will cost me 70 per dog (45 basic service and 25 blow dry).I will continue to go to my local place, who charges me 50 per dog, no registration fee and they come home dried, brushed and with a ribbon.

It makes me very sad to remember that moment , From the first day I went to that place the staff that receives me were never friendly, quality poor and zero education, especially from the manager, a tall young man very daring bossy in way of speaking ,You immediately understood that he didn’t have any talent and experience when dealing with a costumer when immediately parking my car i was afraid to give my dog to them his name apollo his breed silver lab I never cared about the value I paid and the service as well as the membership it was also the only thing that I was looking for good service and to feel calm because me dog suffered from anxiety , definitely I don’t recommend this place to anybody.

I brought my dog in for their basic new client package which is very to the point (wash, ears/teeth clean, nails, etc). Although the staff were very friendly and caring… the service part lacked tremendously. The only thing that looked like it may have been washed were her paws? Nails, if they were really even trimmed, looked like they hadn’t been touched at all (which was the bummer part as that’s the major reason I took her in). Ears still have dirt in them… etc. etc. normally she comes out looking all fresh and clean with a shiny coat smelling good. Just wasn’t the case this time. Hopefully this may have just been a one off experience? Wish you guys well!

Excellent service. You can tell the employees love their doggie customers! My puppy is a challenge to bathe and groom and they said she was very cooperative so it shows they have great techniques! Glad I joined the membership program.

Brought my dog in for her first visit and was very happy with the result. Bath, nails, ears and teeth cleaning, brush and blow out. They made picking the services very easy and my dog seemed like she was very comfortable. They offer a Zymox bath for itchy dogs and my dog actually seems to be scratching way way less. Some of my favorite touches: the report card for the dog’s skin/coat/ears, etc. they send you at the end, and the illustrations for length of coat for grooming (makes it really easy to choose, I never know what to ask for.)I did join the membership bc it just seems like a good way to make sure I get the dog in for a bath/groom regularly, without scrambling for a last minute appointment. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the area.

We took my shih tzu puppy there specifically to have her nails cut and ground down. They pushed my mom trying to get her to joined the ridiculously priced club. She agreed to the basic groom for $40.00 which includes nail trim, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, double bathing. Per the manager the general hygiene service description is the reason her nails were left razor sharp "they are supposed to smooth them out walking around" (the entire reason she was going in and asked to please make sure they were smooth) She did not smell like she was bathed and her nails were still left as sharp as razors.When I picked her up I was again pressed to join these RIDICULOUSLY priced monthly programs for general services and additional cost for grooming.An Example of one of these programs was you pay a monthly fee of $70.00 and a grooming w cut on top of that @$40.00. This isn't a complaint about employees outside of the pressuring to join these "programs" to save money 🤣It is a complaint about the ABSURD pricing and the instructed service standard preformed (who they trained extensively they trained their employees to preform). I gave the 1star for the managers returning the fee with out an issue.

I am very disappointed in the bath my Shiba-inu got this morning. The basic hygiene pack that I got doesn’t even include brushing and drying so I had to pay to get that added on. When I got my dog back, he was still shedding badly and was not completely dry. In the post visit email, they said I should’ve gotten the deshedding package. I was not aware that with all I was paying for, they were not going to deshed him. This was also the shortest dog bath he’s ever gotten which shows how un-thorough they were. $76 is very overpriced for the job they did especially since he’s only 30lbs. I am giving 2 stars because the staff was very nice.

My 1 year old cavapoo barely moved for over 3 days after coming home all shaved off, a big cut behind his ear and burn n cuts in other places. They didn't tell me about the cuts. They did call me that he was a challenge to groom. They had him for over 5 hours. My pup was so traumatized.

Why did no-one think of this sooner? Took my 2 pups in and they came out squeaky clean. Groomers are very thorough and the place is brand new and fresh. Employees are super friendly and scheduling is easy. Definitely try it!!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Scenthound. The length of cuts they advertise is so misleading and they did a terrible job cutting my dog. Our dog, Folly was completely shaved and the shave they did was awful. His head is lopsided, they barely touched his paws and they left tons of extra hair under his neck. I would recommend that you do NOT send your dog here for a haircut.
