This one location has the most extensive array of nuts, fasteners, brackets, insert nuts, of all kinds. I'm always needing a special fastener for repair, and this store has them all. In fact this is the only store around that has the exotic and rare supply including tiny screws to mount clock movements in their antique cases!. Straight down the center aisle to the back of the store will amaze you.

I have had two great experiences at Anchor Ace Hardware getting items fixed. These guys, especially Bill, are so helpful and dare I say hardware geniuses. I will not go anywhere else for my hardware needs.

Reminded me of the good old days, a mom and pop kind of place. You name it, they got it. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Beats the heck out of Lowe's or Home depot. Wish they were closer to my house.

I spent almost 2k on a grill at Ace Denville but these folks managed to lose the order, never contacted me for when the grill came in, rang the wrong item on the bill and on top of that they tried to give me the grill with scratches on it. I pointed out the scratches and the manager *jeff took a big offense to it and started to give me an attitude. When I took a picture of the scratches he confronted me about it saying he will replace the part and not to take pictures because I will have the 100% grill when I leave. When I explained that grill was already released and they would have given it to me scratched if I wouldn’t have said something, he started giving the staff an attitude in front of everyone. This guy should take a breath and learn how to deescalate, not put gas on fire. Thank God he’s not a police officer…The grill is amazing and everyone knows that about Webber grills but the experience with this store and the interaction with the general manager *jeff was way below normal expectations. He’s offensive and doesn’t know how to treat staff and customers if in an unpleasant situation. Please avoid this unprofessional person.

I went to this ACE location for the first time the other day. I have to say I was really impressed with the level of customer service I received. When I walked into the door they were very welcoming and offered to assist me immediately. I didn't even have to ask. They were able to match the screws I needed and made the process super easy. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Thank you again for your support and I will be back in the future.

This is the best store. I ordered a weed wacker that I wanted for same day delivery. Ace had the best price by the way. When it hadn't arrived by 6pm I called the store. They couldn't make it out that day and apologized profusely. They promised to have it to my door by 8am the next day (it's all I could have asked as I realized when I ordered it, the machine would have come too late that day to use; I ordered it same-day to be able to use first thing the next day). Not only was the machine at my door by 8am, they set it up for me! They called me to let me know it was at the door and that they set it up. This kind of service is so extremely rare these days. As much as possible, I'll shop at Ace Hardware in Denville even though it's a bit farther than Home Depot. The slightly longer distance to travel is well worth the excellent service (and prices!).

Horrible experience with this store, ordered some plotting soil online and when I picked it up it had a bunch of slashes from a possible box cutter when they were unloading it. Was a little skeptical taking it home since it most likely was sitting and got moisture or contaminated by pest but took a chance since the employee said it was "good" (worst mistake) did take pictures and video to send it to the customer service to see if I could get my money back took it home spilled all over my car ended up putting it in a tote to store for a week before I used it went to go use it and found mold all over it, had to chuck it, the response from the customer service was sorry for your inconvenience we can give you 5 dollars for your trouble, or you can take it back to the store for a return. Which i found to be a huge inconvenience and waste of time and money. Needless to say first and last time shopping here. Surprised to see you have a 4.8 rating with the type of service I received.

First time visited this store and found all staff member extremely helpful. One of the item which wasn’t available in store they helped to order it online and will be available within a week. They also price matched it from Home Depot.Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Long time customer, I have bought two dollars worth of screws from them and I have bought a $1600 snowblower from them, they give you the same level of attention and customer service no matter how small or large the purchase. They also have everything in stock.

Horrible experience buying from this place for the 1st time. As a local business owner I thought helping a local business is what I should do but man I was wrong. The very low quality of customer service I got from none other than the general manager at this place was mind boggling. Ace of Denville owner send Jeff back to deescalation training and if he gets involved in a conversation with customers, please tell him to get all the facts before he makes clownish and emotionally driven comments.

Recently found myself in need of a new grill and had many questions when I got to the store. Jeff was super helpful, patient and accommodating; informative of all my options but not pushing me in any one direction. He was tending to me and two other customers all at the same time. Once I made my decision on which grill I wanted he took the time to show me how to operate the new grill and within 2 hours it was delivered to my house fully assembled and ready to go. Awesome experience!

My first time using this location. I couldn't of been more pleased with the help I received from the 2 young fellows that were working their today.I will definitely be back even though the home depot is more convenient to my location. It was definitely worth the extra distance.

Looking for a good local hardware place, where the workers know you and get real expert help. Well, after reading some reviews and looked at some good sale deals, I took a visit. Spoke to some of the workers and they helped me on getting a new snow blower and having it delivered. They showed great customer service and no sales hassles. Just great service!

I have been looking for someone to service my Weber grill but I could not find anyone in my area that could come do it. I reached out to Weber directly and they gave me the contact info for Anchor Hardware.I spoke with Jeff and even though they are almost 45 minutes away, within 3 days he was at my house and completely pulled my grill apart, fixed a few things, cleaned it up and got it all running again.I cannot thank Jeff and Anchor for taking care of my problem so quickly. I highly recommend using them for any issues with your Weber grill.Thanks Jeff!

I am a handyman. I have been a good customer of Anchor for years until today. The price shown for ceiling paint was $44. I asked for the contractor price and was told that with tax it was $52. They said he gave me a discount price and it was marked wrong. His statement of giving me a discount was untrue and meant to deceive me. The price online was the same price he charged me. I told him that I am uncomfortable with purchasing here and his attitude was he could not care less.Good help is hard to find and at Anchor, it seems not available.

I was looking for a product. it said online that it was "in stock for pickup today" at this store. I drove all the way there and guess what? They didn't have it or couldn't find it. Waste of time. Lying to people to make them come to the store is bad business.

I just wanted to share a wonderful experience I had today at Ace hardware. I went to the store real quick to grab another can of paint for a room I was redoing. I was with my two young kids. As I entered two salesmen were quick to ask if needed assistance. They helped me right away, and even came by with a special treat for my kids. I also needed a new battery for my key fob- the associate behind the counter worked very hard to get it to work- but it didn’t. So (whom I assume is the manager) went above and beyond to get it to work even went outside to scan my car. I really can’t express how much I recommend this place. It shows going to a small local retailer is that much better then going to a big box store. #supportlocal #acehardware

Always has the hardware I need. Great selection of nuts/bolts/metric/specialty fasteners. They expanded the offerings and added aisles in the basement a couple years back. Nice improvement!

Not a big store like Home Depot or Lowe’s. Ordered a grill online for pickup. Parked right in front of the entrance. Got in and out in just a couple of minutes. No waiting, no nonsense.
