I cannot say enough good things about my store at Denville New Jersey.I am now using pickup which is extremely efficient, fast service, and always accurate.When I leave special instructions they are followed to the letter. When I get there they come out with my order in less time then it would take me to stand in a self-help line.They continue to find ways for me to save money. The newest one is I can reuse my bags so there is no back fee for pickup tomorrow before that I get 5% off for the special scheduled and save list. I used to be ShopRite all the way but I just saved too much money with acme. I love this store

We came to the deli to buy deli sandwich on 03/07/2024 at 9:28 AM,from the deli department, the lady treated us very rudely. We asked for onion.. she said we don’t have onion with an attitude, we asked for pickles she said we don’t pickles with a horrible attitude. If she is not trained to do deli sandwiches she could have said so.. she kept huffing and puffing and I was about to tell her I don’t need the sandwich, but I hate wasting food. That’s not acceptable customer service, we are not coming back to this deli again.

The employees try so hard. It’s not clear their corporate overlords care. It’s an overpriced suburban bogota loss leader with under appreciated people and a terrific bakery.

Decent store but would be so much better if they could do something about the foul smell. Pump some air freshener into the air ducts! The place stinks. The produce is often poorly stocked too. Address those issues and this place could be really great!

Any time you need to use the customer service desk there is never anyone there and the employee's will just watch you at the counter and not offer any help!!!!! This happens way too often, prices and selection are complete garbage compared to there competitors.

I had to get a couple of items I'm not used to shopping for and the staff was pretty friendly and helpful. I haven't noticed the checkout staff being rude, per se... just perhaps a bit robotic. Prices are decent enough and their selection and quality has been good so far. Overall, we have found this to be a good place to get items that are on sale. It's a good local grocery store.Update: I have since signed up for their Freshpass program. After running the numbers it seemed like a good value, as long as you order something at least once a month. So far it seems to be well worth it, and having free deliveries available is a nice benefit. I have picked up a few orders from the store, and delivery to the car is usually fairly prompt (within 5 minutes or so). As a side note, employees have seemed a little more friendly which is a good sign!

Nice, local place to shop for almost anything. The bakery alone gets 5 ⭐️s!!! Always decorated beautifully and almost always stocked. I had the pleasure of speaking with the bakery manager, Denise, who was FANTASTIC to deal with!

Clean well organized although some of the employees are not very helpful. Our cashier and deli rep were fantastic in contrast to the contrast of customer service desk rep was pretty abrupt.

Not very good experience, I bought a fruit tray, very same second I opened it. And it smelled fun. I went inside and tried to get refund or exchange. But they said customer service is closed. This all happened in span of 2-3 mins.

This review is for the deli/catering department — I recently ordered a large tray of assorted croissant sandwiches for a party and they were absolutely fantastic!! Really fresh ingredients, thoughtfully put together and enjoyed by everyone. So many guests asked where we got the sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised when I told them they came from Acme because they easily could have been from a high end cafe or catering company. Will definitely return for future events!

Prices are a little high but the Employees goes above and beyond to help their customers and their deli meat is very fresh and there's store brand turkey and ham called "Primo brand" which is very good quality) . Great bakery dept too.

Its really fun to shop here. Its never that crazy crowded. That's mainly why I come here, because I can shop without all the people rushing by. They used to have phenomenal croissants. I think the baker keeps changing. Croissants are no longer that awesome. Still so much better than a number of other stores'. The only thing I can think of complaining is the darn digital coupons. The website is a little confusing to work on.

It’s Denville so you get charged just for walking in through the door. The salad bar and ready-made sandwiches are never fresh, I got the shrimp salad recently and threw it out after the first bite. I just got a small container of Greek salad and paid $8 for it. It’s nowhere near fresh. The staff have that typical east coast New Jersey icy charm, it feels like death in here. I miss the ACME in New Providence, unfortunately I live closer to this one now.

The bakery is AMAZING!!! They finally have a new bakery manager for the past year or so and the difference is night and day! This is my go to, give it a try!

I don't know if it was because it was late night or what... but that attendant was really rude and mean. As I was approaching to him, he made a bad face and he did a sarcastic comment to his coworker. Then he said that it is my job to look for the item, not his job. It's my first time doing shopping for doordash, and I wanted to get all correct. But that guy was all but good attendant.

The produce section has major problems every time I come here. Last year it was consistent fruit flies on the tomatoes and onions for several months. Most recently it was moldy strawberries and watermelon.I'll be going to a different store from now on, even though I'll have to drive further.

It's fine. The parking is strange. They angled the spots for some reason when it wasn't necessary so I hate parking here. It's an ok mid-level grocery store.

I bought 4 pounds of beef short ribs for a recipe, cost about $40. Opened them and found they were more than half fat. So I bought $25 dollars worth of fat that had to be reduced down, strained, separated and thrown in the garbage. Nice. What a rip-off.

It's still the A & P to me.. But it is a great store. The staff is do friendly and helpful. " The Boys' at the courtesy counter are the best. They took the time to get to know me.. Love their Pharmacy. The Manager Matt is Amazing..very helpful and truly understands and takes time with his clients. He really cares, has called me at home with a concern of his.. also reminded me I was due for certain meds.. I can not leave out Christine who is there till 3.. she make things run smoothly.. the other Pharmacist Melissa is also very nice and caring.. Good job ...

I believe it opens @ 6am. I arrived around 7:10 am. Most of the lights were off, guessing because it was only a small handful of Customers shopping, but it was a little too dark. It was clean, somewhat fully stocked, except the sale items. Two registers open, for the amt of people there; no wait. Didn't care for my cashier scrutinizing my coupons the way she did. I make sure they match so I'm not embarrassed in line. $3 off dishwasher jetdry...she took more time with coupons than ringing up items and counting money combined. Other than that, the store is a good place to shop.

The Acme is very clean and very organized. It's a pretty store when you wàlk in it's very welcoming. It had all the basics I needed and more. I liked it a lot! They have many sales there which makes it comparable to other stores. It also takes the OTC card which is very helpful!!

Prepared foods severely lacking. In the span of a week I've had spoiled fruit AND green beans with mildew on them.Prices are high, selection is nothing special and I feel they do nothing to attract people in. They are strictly a supermarket for convenience and I'm tired of it as a Denvillian who knows that we deserve better!Denville is no Podunk town. Do better or close up shop and give another supermarket a shot.

First time there. I needed some onions and had a few minutes to spare prior to picking up my son from school. It was clean and well organized. I can definitelysee myself shopping there more often before picking up my son.

They have the best cold cuts from any chain supermarket I've been to. They have nice deal specials (but 2 get 4. Buy 2 get 2. Etc.)Very decent tasting bagels.Very friendly & nice staff!

Very upset with how the bakery department decided to package 6 cupcakes in an individual cupcake container (so I had 6 boxes that do NOT stack) instead of 1 box made for 6 cupcakes or even placing them all in a large cake box. ALL 6 cupcakes fell on the ground by the time they got home and of course the cheap boxes used all popped open causing the cupcake to fall on the ground and not even be edible. Why would they package them all individually like that? Extremely upsetting they would do this and ruin 6 cupcakes and waste money. Not even thinking about how someone made these cupcakes by hand and they had no care for this person’s hard work and packaged them so carelessly. Very mad about how they were packaged. You’re better off going to ShopRite where they care a little more about the travel of the cupcake and package them appropriately.

I come here for the pharmacy. It's a very quiet operation that allows the pharmacist to give you her full attention and fill your prescriptions really quickly. If you are using a discount or coupon card, Melissa does her best to get you the most affordable price. The friendly staff and quick turnaround makes this a pharmacy that can become your go to.

Like so many Acmes. Super clean and organized but dated and, except for few circular specials, much more expensive than Shoprite, Lidl, Aldi, etc.
