We are obsessed our local tack shop, they always have what we need, and carry our favorite riding attire brand, Lemieux...which can be tricky to find in store. The employees are always offering help and kind.

Rick’s is such a great shop that has all your horse and dog needs. They hold raffles and have great sales often! Definitely recommend this place.

i am in jail writing this and all i have to say was this experience at this establishment was terrible! i asked if i could tryout a saddle to the manager and he said of course. but then i replied with alright saddle up big boy and he asked me to leave. Then I got into a wester standoff with him. I grabbed my rope and tied him to the industrial fan and turned it on and started to practice my aim. now theres 6 holes in the roof and the guy is still spinning.

Shopped at Ricks for many years and always provided PAPER bags to carry out merchandise. Why then now the establishment no longer provides bags and you need to purchase them? At any given time when I walk in the store, I end up dropping a couple of hundred dollars. It's not the cost to purchase the bags but the principal of it all. Will take my business elsewhere

Love this place! I've bought the most awesome boots here. Also they carry bird food that other stores don't carry, like the peanut chips that bring so many different kinds of birds to my feeders. These things have me returning and then, I always seem to find something else I like.

Updated review!I have been coming here for several years and always find what I want. I went here today to look at the English tack they have. Everybody always treats me so well with dignity and respect, like I am family which is very rare during these Corona times when people are so dismissive and "put on airs." Despite the fact their central air conditioning gave out 2 weeks ago and it was clearly hot in the store, the staff was very helpful. I was able to get a beautiful oversided English bridle for $180 ( I've bought their bridles before, always great quality) plus really nice 5" irons for $50, fly spray, and a really nice English riding pad for $25. Total spent about $270 but well worth it. I was looking at the used English saddles, too, and they had some great deals. Also, the lady told me to go online and even if a saddle is at another store, I can have it sent to their store where I can pick it up and try it out!! Really helpful! There is such a great selection in this store that I always go back!! Just goes to show you, it is the little things that count, really. The way I feel when I am there and after I leave is always as a person who is valued!!Previous review!I have been going to this store about 3 years but last year I had to sell a saddle for a horse I no longer had. I thought about other consignment places, but to be honest, none of those places made me feel comfortable in their skill. Susan was really a huge help to me not only in pricing my saddle but encouraging me to list it for the correct price and give them time to sell it. It sold for the price I wanted, so I was very happy.The store is very well stocked with just about everything you need. I got a fantastic English bridle there with very soft leather and a headband for only 260. People bragged to me about the bridle. They have a huge supply of saddles and tack, plus, clothes, hats, boots, and horse feed. Definitely check them out if in the area or give them a call to ask about your needs. Rick's number 1 item they have there is the staff. They help us everytime we go and super friendly. You have a question but feel dumb asking it. Don't. They will help you and they know their stuff. Pricey but quality is superb. Selection is vast amd can always find great stuff on the clearance racks at a great price.

Nice and clean here. Great variety of merchandise. Prices are a tad too high for the working class, but if you hit the lottery you"re golden! Its fun to look if nothing else.

Very knowledgeable staff that is always willing to help you. We purchase all of our dog supplies from food to treats here. Prices are excellent as well as the variety! I would much rather prefer the selection at Rick’s rather then your Petco or Petsmart.

We pop in from time to time to buy our horsie some treats. This time I found breeches for 19.99 that fit me awesome!!! The sale rack is always fun. My daughter likes to climb on the beautiful saddles as well.

One of the few places in central Jersey that has both farm supplies and equine riding equipment. It is still good but was better when managed by the original owner, Rick. New mgmt. seems to be all about money

This was my second time into ricks and will be my last I was looking at dog supplies and boots with my wife we were asked by a very kind young girl we said were just looking we were in there for about 20 mins then the older lady comes up to us and ask is that your red jeep I said yes then she said I love your pitbull stickers on the back and I never even thought about it my wife said why would that lady go out and look at the back of our car or even go look at it I'm not sure if they thought we were gonna steal something or the fact my wife is Hispanic but its so sad me and my wife can't go into a store and shop and be looked at like criminals but ill never spend a dime at this store again ricks farm and feed you should be ashamed you lost a good customer.

Do you really think she spent time going out to the parking lot to look to see which one is yours?? Why would she care??? Im in there once a week for years and my boyfriend is hispanic...no issues with anyone ever!
