Love this store for its variety, seasonal specialties and great prices.Be sure to try the Portuguese Sweet Bread from Fall River MA.We moved from NJ to NC but stop at OSJL everytime we're back in Clinton nj.

I stop by to see what's new in the Clinton store. The manager runs a clean, well organized store. Things are easy to find. The manager and staff are pleasant and helpful. It is a good store.

I want to give kudos to the outstanding customer service at the Clinton, New Jersey store. Specifically, Rich the Front End Supervisor has been so helpful many times. I have been a customer since the store opened and never knew about the Crazy Deals until he took the time to explain it to me. I have seen him do the same thing with other customers too. Since then I have become a big fan of the special discounts and probably spend more money as a result. I hope that he gets recognizes for his extra effort.

Ocean State Job lot it's much like a dollar store with prices doubled or tripled if you don't know what you're shopping for and you don't know pricing at Walmart, Target, Dollar tree. Their house brands are a decent value if you are local and have no where else to shop and don't have a discount Dept store. Good selection of watersports and paddling supplies.

They constantly ring up items that the sale price doesn't come up. The last two trips I've had to have them adjust the price to the correct price. Once I had to go back into the store.My wife had several items not come up the sale price. She called the manager to let her know that she doesn't go there that often because of the distance and the manager said don't worry about it bring the receipt in and will give you the 30% back that you should have received initially. We went back less than a month later and they did not honor what the manager had promised for all the items it's disappointing that their response was you can always call corporate. Guess what that's what we're doing

good place for summer deals. I bought a gazebo, it is the same one available at Wayfair or Amazon for half the price, it has lasted 3 summers, also good for party and inexpensive items

Retail requires a lot of man power, multitasking and patience. I got to see that while working here. It took a while, but, here is what I'm seeing from someone who's worked in a hospital many years ( a whole different environment) and feel fortunate to work.These kids working there way into management positions groomed under really amazing upper management who are so experienced and...compassionate, but professional. These kids are amazing and work really hard like there Bosses. I say kids because they are much younger than I. There twenties. Just an amazing group. The little time I've had here I have seen so much growth. Retail can be brutal and these young twenty some are exceptional. Naturally In this world of revolving doors of employees you will run into these young twenties like Susannah, Ezekiel and the behind the scenes Tom who is head of food whom is an amazing worker! And Will, Bill, Maria, Jason and David. And new fes's like Richard and Nicholas . Associates like Amanda and long time Henry with his amazing announcement's. And then there's Laura the anchor that runs a tight ship loved by all. Again Susannah what am amazing asset to this company. All led by the hard working boss Keith. I had to write this because someone should and I was moved by my experiences while here. Merry Christmas .

I love this store. I stop in frequently to get seasonings, juices, snacks and so forth. They have a nice selection of lounge around clothing that I love too.The store is generally well stocked. It is usually pretty clean also. The staff is very nice and helpful.

My favorite go to place. They always have a cool variety of stuff and super sales. The store is clean and organized. The customer service is great. The crazy deals are really crazy. I got a space heater for $70 and got a gift card for $70 back! They do a lot for veterans and homeless. Great company so happy they are local to me

Store as a wide variety of items that you can find cheaper than other locations. Some of the items may be a little out of date, as we found some candy and cereals from Halloween. However the expiration dates were still good.There are also some deals that allow you to get a gift card for the amount of the item. This basically makes the item free. For instance on our last visit there was a mat for $29.99, and they gave you a gift card for $29.99 when you purchased it, provided you bought an additional $30 worth of items.We found items from a large variety of categories including outdoor, clothing, office supplies, food, tools, and much much more.This is the second location that we have been to and the employees of both locations were very friendly. I have to give them one star for customer service. I wish I could give them less. I was looking at cosmetics when my husband said something that made us both laugh. A store clerk came up to us and said "You're not thinking of stealing something, are you?" What do you reply to such rudeness? Just be careful not to laugh in this store.

This store looks so much better than it did 3 months ago. Multiple resets and organization. My only chagrin was over the unavalibility of advertised sale items. Sales associate Tom should be commended for his customer satisfaction skills.

Update on 4/14/2022: We drove to the Clinton location to search for an outdoor patio rug and found a huge selection, properly organized interior and great team member like TOM who helped us from one aisle to next. Then he was our cashier! I also spoke with manager, Keith, to commend him on a great store.July 2021: One day as we were returning from our NJ beach vacay, on a whim, we took an hour to shop by and peruse the new seasonal merchandise for great prices. So, if you are searching for household items, big or small and know your prices, stop by to shop awhile. I compare this store to BIG LOT'S or an Ollies but more organized with competitive or cheaper prices. The seasonal merchandise sells fast because price points are cheap and in limited supply. So, if you see something, buy it. In addition, they offer this promotion to buy the advertised item at a special price and OSJL issues a gift card for partial price back for future use. Like getting the item at HALF or for FREE. Check it out.

I love job lots. Clothes are cheap. I buy all my pool supplies there including chlorine. Great dog treats and very large puppy pads. My favorite is the bicuites bits and pieces.
