Dec 2022: We brought our one year old havi mix to Lydia. With the hustle and bustle of the holidays fast approaching we dropped him off without any direction. Lydia again performed her magic and provided the perfect cut as well as removing the mattes on his long tail. We are extremely pleased with the services provided here!Lydia is a puppy whisper!! We took our 6 month old puppy here for his first grooming. He is a wiggle worm and hated being brushed. Lydia performed her magic and was able to successfully cut his fur, nails and face exactly like the picture I showed her. While this may not be the coolest, hottest place to go, the experience she has shows. Will be returning with the puppy and our other dog.May 2023...She is a still fantastic groomer, kind and loving to all our pets! Also sells parrots .August 2023...still think Lydia is great with pups and truly loves all animals!

Lord I wish I would’ve stuck with my gut and my dog’s intuition . He wanted to back out of this place the moment we got there . Please do not take your dog to get groomed here . I literally showed the lady a picture of exactly what I wanted in detail and she did not complete any of it . She shaved down my dogs head despite us both agreeing that I didn’t want to take much off , I was more concerned with his sanitary area and paw pads , his hair was not matted at all if that’s what you’re wondering . She didn’t shave down his sanitary area properly , his ears are still dirty . All I can confirm that she did right was rough chop his nails . They did not file them down at all. The entire place smells like pee and not a light scent , very strong . I instantly regretted leaving him there . And I shouldve taken him out when he wanted to leave

Lydia is fantastic with dogs! My Papillon loves her! Reasonable prices for grooming by a woman who will treat your dog with love and respect. Much better to support this great local business, that will know you and your dog, than to bring your furbaby to a chain that only cares about the bottom dollar.

Lydia is the best! Great communication and easy going. Keeps my dog calm during visits and does a quick job. Always in and out within 5-10 minutes (with an appointment) Overall a great experience!

I have only been here one time for a dog grooming, but my dog came out looking beautiful !!! He is a long hair Aussie/chow mix. I asked to please keep it long and really just clean him up. I like him to look natural w no straight cut lines. Lidia said “ok, no problem” when I picked him up after 1.5 hours. He looked perfect!! And smelled great ☺️I will admit he was still a little damp, but that isn’t a big issue. His cut looks great, and he was all smiles

Lydia is so kind to all the animals and to the people that come in. I have been going here for many years (over 15) and I've never been disappointed. I've had dogs, cats, fish, rats and guinea pigs and always get what I need. Love Lydia and Mike.

Lidia is the best! Never any outrageous waiting time. You can drop off your pooch, go have coffee then pick up your beautifully groomed and happy pet! I have yet to wait more than 45 minutes for my dog to be ready. True animal lovers! I always recommend Allwood Pet Center to everyone I know or meet with pets.

The best pet place in Jersey to get my dog and cats washed. The owner is awesome! Shes compassionate friendly and very loving to my pets. My family has taken all of our pets to her for over ten years. My pets love her and so do i 😊. . I pray her pet shop is around for another ten years...THE BEST!!!!

My mom brings her dog here and on more than one occasion she noticed his nails were not clipped. Upon calling and bringing it up, they insisted they were clipped- NOT true. I told my mom to stop wasting her money at this no-name place. I am currently looking for a more honest establishment to invest in. Basically she spends over $70 each visit for a shampoo, rinse, and half-assed drying job. They do NOT clip nails (but swear up and down they do), they do NOT clean his eyes, and they do NOT clean his ears. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I hate to write a review like this and I wish I could give them no stars but that isn't possible. I took my dog there for his first grooming (he was 12 years old). When I came to pick him up they told me he was freaking out and hiding in the corner (they attempted to put him in a cage but he freaked out even more). I went up to him and could tell he was stressed out but I took him home thinking everything would be ok once he was back in his normal enviorment.My dog passed away from a heart attack 10 hours after I brought him home from the groomer. My vet stated that he prolly had a minor heart attack while being groomed and his heart just gave out from all the stress.I'm not sure why they continued to try to groom him with his stress level so high. I would think (or wish) they would just have told me he isn't able to be groomed due to stress.

I did not even enter this place, i just made a call to ask for price ranges and the womans tone was very rude, I am a new pet owner and my dog is adopted so I have no idea what breed he is and was explaining he is short haired and the woman was very rude after my reply. I hung up immediately. I would not recommend this place.
