Me and my fiancé made the trip from Hackettstown to visit my parents in CP. We decided to get our Schnoodle puppy groomed for my engagement photos. It was Button’s first grooming experience and I was nervous because I did not know what to expect. But… YUMI IS AMAZING 🙏 We told her he needed a nice summer cut and to keep his face a little bit longer than his body and she worked her magic! Button loves his new cut and he’s walking around with his proud poodle strut 🐩 it’s a bit of a drive from my current place but we definitely found his new groomer. It’s worth the trip! Thank you so much

Excellent Bath Service at Head to Tail for My Golden.I recently took my golden to Head to Tail for a bath and was extremely pleased with their service. The staff were wonderfully accommodating, especially when I needed to change my appointment last minute.The bath my dog received was fantastic. He came out smelling great and his fur was incredibly soft. It's clear that Head to Tail uses quality products and genuinely cares for the pets they service.I appreciate their attention to detail and the comfort they provided to my pet. Their flexibility and professionalism make them highly recommendable. Looking forward to our next visit!

This place was great for years. Don’t know what’s happened recently. I have a very old dog (14yrs) and I don’t want the dog there in a cage for hours waiting. I always call and ask when can I drop the dog off so that it isn’t in the cage and can just get cut immediately. Both of the most recent 2 times we’ve gone I have called and they give a time and say it’s going to take 2 hours. Both times it ends up taking more than 4 or 5 hours. I think they just say yes to every booking request and then try to figure out to schedule. We will not be going back.

Found a gem in Cliffside park.I usually groom panda myself, however, with circumstances I was looking for the best groomer in town.I would usually gatekeep a great spot to myself, so it won't get overcrowded. However, I have to give credit when it's overly due. Davina is the go-to groomer, with her detailed skillsets. The host staff starting from the to the top to the back end are kind and accommodating. For these reasons, I will be back!God bless 'Merica

STAY AWAY!!!! I took my puppy in for grooming a few days before Christmas. I notice my fur baby had not been cut even. I reach out to the owner about it’s he could car less. I was told that’s how we cut. That I should find another groomer very unprofessional. I also notice that my puppy had knots which I was told it would be cut. Reach out again the owner returned my call.I used this same place with my other dog had no problems. Very unprofessional. Only cares about money. Not to mention on the report card said he my dog is a female lol

Awesome place to give your loving pooch a spa day (bath. wash, teeth clean, nail clip and stylish hair cuts especially for poodle owners - ask for Mindy, a sweet Korean woman that really does nice work).The shop has a lot of items to accessorize and keep your dog busy with all types of bones and chewables, plus clothing for the cold, like winter coats for those brisk early morning walks.I really do have to mention, as an honest reviewer, the smell outside of that shops vicinity (and I really don't know why) is like a punch in the nose to the senses, but it doesn't interfere with their services but for the unpleasant experience every month so I'm not gonna be the one to harp on that any further. Maybe one day something will be fixed. All in all - a place I would recommend with Mindy in care of your dogs grooming.At the end of your dog's services being rendered, he/she will get a report card with how they did on all work done. It's definitely a cool little extra.Lastly, I'm no Karen, but whatever town you live in, do the right thing and always curb your dog and please don't just leave your dogs poop anywhere he/she squats, it messes things up for the rest of dog/pet owners. Be mindful of other people's homes and property. Follow your town or city's ordinances. Everyone has a Ring camera or the like these days so save yourself the embarrassment and the ticket and end up as a meme or the video of the day. 😀

This place is horrible. They sold to the owner/manager Danny. Ever since I have had an issue every time going to the establishment. I went today and asked that my dog not be kept in a kennel. Since I asked that they left him in a kennel for 45 min (which the receptionist told me). The manager lied about not doing it and proceeded to tell me I am a difficult customer for requesting that and to not come back. The manner and way this “manager” spoke to me was extremely unprofessional. I requested they give my dog to me paid for his bath and left. On other occasions they have not listened to instructions for his grooming needs and he has come home on multiple occasions with eye infections and cuts that they “don’t know how he got”.They do not ask for updated vaccines but tell customers that they do since the virus going around for dogs. I personally have all my dogs vaccines up to date but have not been asked in two years.I will not be going back here at all and would not trust a single person that works here with my animal.

Our pup got her first hair cut today and we all loved it! She’s a lovely rescue that gets scared very easily and we thought she was gonna be scared when we picked her up but she was very happy and excited. She looks incredible and we’re very thankful it was a good experience for her. The staff was very attentive. They even put a cute pink bow on her. We would definitely recommend HeadToTail.

Best Service!Nice employees, Best Groomers at Great prices!!Loved the cocker cut I have been getting from Head To Tail! Nice and Blended and the length I wanted! Coat came out very shiny as well! Told me about her skin problem and ears infection(although I knew about it) its always great to know that they are keeping eye on one by one. Love the way they treat them. I love to see my cocker loving to be at the place and is comfortable, since mine use to not enjoy going to groomers for the past 5 years before Head to Tail! its a huge change of her behavior. They provide upto 6hrs free daycare when you go in for grooming which is great! They also have Montessori, where they have different activities for them to learn social skills and others!Love them and definitely always go back to them!

🐾 This was our first time going to “Head To Tail”. I was super happy with their grooming service! From the moment I walked in, everyone was super friendly and went over in detail how I would like them groomed. They called me 15 mins before they were done being groomed so I could start heading that way for the pick-up. Their hair came out so cute, exactly what I asked for and they got a “Pawtastic” on their report card (Yums was their groomer)! It was such a great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend “Head to Tail” for grooming! 🐾

Management has changed. New owner Danny does not communicate when dogs are sick. He only cares about money not well being of dogs. Example— He has not personally asked me for my dog’s current vaccination records. My dog has come back with bites and infections. Would not recommend.

Brought my little Otto in for grooming. Everyone was so nice and efficient from start to finish. Otto is only 8 months old, and they handled the puppy energy fine. He looked great. They even gave a report card (checklist) showing all the things they did and his overall wellness. Awesome. Will return and entrust them with kenneling.

I can't say enough good things about this place, so happy after having such a bad experience with our last boarding place that I was able to come across this GEM! Sebastian is absolutely incredible and really takes the time to listen to your concerns and explain things to you! My bulldog Tyson came back to me soooo clean and sooo tired from his daycare after, I couldn't be happier. He's been groomed before but his nails have never looked so good and he has never smelt so good either!!! Will be a lifelong customer of this establishment!

We brought my puppy for his first grooming experience at Head To Tail 3 weeks ago and we was so happy to find this place. The shop is clean and neat and the staffs were so friendly and helpful! The best thing was my puppy was so happy and looked handsome after grooming! Great service and reasonable price. It's a lot cheaper than the local grooming services in Monmouth county where I live. I wish it's located near me! If I travel to north Jersey again, I must bring my boy to them!

I brought my dog, Brooklyn, to get her first ever grooming experience from Hear to Tail and she was so thankful. Brooklyn had the pleasure of having Dovina assist in grooming her. When I went to pick her up she was so ecstatic to have experienced her first “spa day”. Brooklyn was very happy as was I. Will definitely be returning again. Great prices and friendly staff!

This groomer is great! I have a chow chow which are hard to groom dogs but Head to Tail did an amazing job. My boy came out clean, with an even cut, and he even got a report card afterwards to let me know how his time there was! I just moved to the area and this will definitely be my go-to spot to groom my dog.

I was there last August and will be going again this week. My Yorkie had a great haircut and was happy and healthy when returned to me. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the place is clean. I recommend them!

In my opinion I would not recommend this grooming facility to anyone that loves their pet. I took my 5 lib yorkie for full service on Saturday and by Tuesday I had to rush him to the vet, because his anal glands ( which is part of the package I paid for)and was not done and never stated that it wasn't done so I can take precautions so he wouldn't have to go through the pain and suffering he is experiencing due to his anal glands exploding.When I tried to resolve this issue with the facility I was told it was not their issue and they would not be taking Any responsibility. No apologies,or empathy was expressed for what my pet and I are going through because of their neglagence.If I didn't take him in when I did I could have lost my fur baby. Please stay away from this place as stated by other reviewers this place is unprofessional.

My dog Nala has been going to Head to Tail for years with no issue... however, she was left bleeding from her nail beds and private parts after her last grooming session. I spoke to the owner who was very apologetic and told me he would make a note on my account for a free grooming my next visit. I was assured that Nala would be assigned to her usual groomer, not the new groomer that cut her. This was less than 2 months ago. However, when I called today to book her for grooming, the owner had no recollection of the events that occurred. Clearly, there wasn't a note made on my account. I was asked, yet again, what happened during my last session. I was already hesitant bringing her back there after the last groomer injured her but the lack of communication and overall disregard for client care sealed the deal. I wound up hanging up and scheduling an appointment elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars I would.

My nola is not the typical hypoallergenic shih tzu so she sheds a lot. I’ve been bringing her to head to tail for the last year and not only do they keep her looking good but she also always leave happy (which I believe is a sign they are treating her nicely when she visits). I also love that they give a report card to indicate if there are any problems they notice on the dog’s body.

Very disappointing service by Danny who was in charge of grooming my year and half old doodle for roughly half a year.I found this severe clipper burn on my dog’s belly hours after she came back from grooming. The front desk person apologetically told me the next day that the groomer probably did not notice it, but how can this large scar be unnoticed? The report card we received did not include a single word on what happened to my dog that day.If he really happened to not see what he did, he is a careless, inattentive groomer. If he did not inform us to hide his mistake, he is an amazingly unprofessional groomer whom no one should depend on.

Very disappointed with the customer service that was offered in my recent visit. I had made an appointment a week in advance to have my Golden Retriever groomed by Danny and the day of the appointment I was told that Danny was not in (which turned out to be a lie). A different groomer was assigned to work with my dog. Then I received a call saying he was ready to be picked up and that he was only given a bath because he was too anxious and had supposedly bit the groomer (which is the consequence of switching a dog’s trusted groomer to a complete stranger). I asked why they hadn’t respected my appointment with Danny and they were unable to give a response. When I showed up to pick my dog up, turns out Danny was in and had given Kai a 10-15 minute haircut (that was the time it took me to pick him up). I was unpleased with the service and lack of professionalism offered by both people working at the front desk. Danny has always been friendly and has always been patient and understanding with Kai. Unfortunately this time, due to the other staff members, Danny was not given enough time to give Kai a decent haircut. The front desk workers lack professionalism and clearly don’t have a clue what they’re doing when booking appointments and checking for availability. P.S I hope they don’t scare more customers away.

I have been taking my pup to get groomed to head to tail for the last 2 years. Honestly, during the last 3 months or so, things have really taken a bad turn. First of all, it has taken more than 3 hours for a grooming session, and I am usually the one to call to try to find out if my dog is ready. Upon picking my dog up, I have been asked to wait because the groomer forgot to cut some hair from his tail (after my dog was there for 3 hours). The price for a small dog has gone up $20+ in less than 2 years. Reception no longer calls to confirm appointments, and although you say you want the same “service” as last time, they seem to not get it. I am not sure what has changed but the increase in pricing is outrageous plus the service and detail to attention no longer seems to be a priority.

We agree with every single one of the negative reviews left here. This business should be reported to the BBB and to the state for false advertisement and all of its shady practices! We brought our cat here multiple times for grooming and every single time the price was different from the last! One person charged us $20 for nail trimming and ear cleaning and then the next one charged us $40! The last visit the girl at the front (who claimed she was new), refused to give us a receipt of any type. When we asked her why? She stated that the owners instructed her not to give out receipts to cash paying customers?!? We will never bring our pets here ever again! Why do you advertise one price and then charge another for something routine that takes 5-10 minutes each time we go there? The owners must think customers are dumb. We have news for you.. we are not!! There are plenty of new groomers in Fort Lee and surrounding areas so we have options.
