Bad grooming experience! I specifically asked groomer (Joey) to not shave off my dog as he wasn’t “badly”matted. My dog has beautiful fur and all he needed was a trim. I wish these groomers had more patience. Former groomer Caroline was the best but unfortunately she no longer works there. I’ve inserted before and after pictures.

Found a dead frog in one of the frog enclosures. not the first time.. why have pets you can’t take care of properly??? that frog has probably been dead for days. do better.the bugs are ALWAYS dead too. why sell things that are dead for full price smfh

Brought my Maltese Promise to get her nails trimmed and they honored their standards of saying that all walk-ins are welcome. Desiree was amazing very gentle very patient and so was Aussie 0XI was amazing. He helped me with my pet. He was gentle with her. he helped me look for snacks for her healthy snacks. He also helped me with a harness, got down on his knees and put it on her so gently and we couldn’t find one that was small enough for her although we had an extra small, but this was a phenomenal experience of first experience and I wanted to let the store know that for customers that are looking for great care. This is the place, thank you so much

ACTUALLT 0-5 STARS! DO NOT BRING YOUR PUPPIES HERE! I brought my dog to that store and bought a BRAND NEW HARNESS or so I THOUGHT! It’s been a few days AT MOST now AND MY POOR LITTLE PUPPY IS COVERED IN MANGE! MANGE! First she went to the vet for a fever and tenderness in her leg, then that subsided and all these sores broke out. I’ve had dogs for 30 years and never had this. I called the store and they said there is nothing they can do. PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD AND RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THIS AND STOP BRINGING YOUR ANIMALS INTO THIS LOCATION!!

So disappointed by this store. Had a great experience in the morning with staff, but tried to bring my dog in one evening and wow - what a difference. The staff in grooming who we worked with were extremely slow, unfriendly and not caring. And I was shocked to find out the person who was watching was actually the Manager, who told me the Grooming Manager would call me the next day when she was in since it was such a bad experience and...and not shockingly, no phone call ever came (now weeks later).

This review is specifically for the Manager at Petco groomer - Clark Nj, she is one of the most experienced around and she ruined my dogs hair by just haphazardly moving the razor on her. She was already groomed by other groomer one day before but since my pet was little fussy on her legs and face , she was assigned to Melissa who is the manager and who can work on rest of the area. She didn’t do anything on the face or leg but instead removed all her hair from her body and that too uneven manner. She knew she got angry at my dog and punished her my ruining her hair because when I looked in her eyes she couldn’t Make an eye contact with me and walked away. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. This is not first experience with Melissa but second time she showed her frustration on my pet and spoke to me rudely . The management should an action on such inhumane personality and not allow them to deal with animals who can’t even express their pain or stress they had to go through.

The location has convenient parking and the store is large and has quite a variety of your pets needs. They have specials everywhere and there is always an associate who will assist you when needed. An associate named Steve who was giving out samples for Just Food for Dogs was friendly and gave me information on their product and information on dogs that was delightful.My recent visit they added a animal hospital to the establishment which made the store slightly smaller but doesn’t really make a huge difference.

Took my cat here for vaccine, Dr Mohammed was friendly and kind to my pet. Vet office is closed room unlike the one in Edison, which helps pets avoid distraction from other animals in line.

Completely unprofessional and amateur. It was utter chaos with the amount of dogs going in and out of service and the staff seemed completely unprepared and unorganized. Instructions were ignored and not enough care given to each individual dog. If you care about your pet do not come here

Terrible - they call to confirm the appointment a dozen times, and then when we get there they refuse to groom my dog because she is scared and it’s “against policy” tog room dogs who are pulling on their leash. The groomers there clearly have no ability to comfort and manage a scared dog, so now I would never trust them with my girls!

Good for some pet supplies, but their pet grooming service wasted my time by not asking during the booking process whether my dog was on medication. He was on his last day of a three-week antibiotic cycle and having no issues whatsoever, but they refused to groom him. I do get it, but (1) they need to include this in the booking process, and (2) I wondered why they were so cold with me—it would have been easy and helpful for them to reschedule the appointment then and there instead of just turning me away. Because of their approach, I’m hesitant to return there; if they don’t consider my experience, will they consider my dog’s?

I called to see if they had the dog food I needed in stock the young lady who answered was really nice I told her I was 5 minutes away she actually put the food at the counter to make it a quick trip. Really good customer service wish I could remember her name.

One of the few Petco's that have an on-site Vet. The staff is awesome and extremely friendly. It's part of a busy strip mall so be aware when walking your pet from the vehicle to the building. That's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5

Exemplary!As someone who doesn’t provide reviews much, I’m selective and judicious as to whom I write one. That said, I have no reservations about giving 5 stars to the staff and crew of Vetco in Clark, NJ. I’m a first time cat owner and I had my concerns about getting my Chloe spayed. My research led me to this clinic and from day one when my cat got her vaccine and health exam up until the day of surgery, the entire crew has been nothing short of exemplary. A big thanks to Selena, Leo, Tatiana, Shaia, Dr. Mohammed, and the rest of the staff for making us feel comfortable and safe. Keep doing what you do.- Jose

They did such a good job with grooming my 5 month old pup! I know puppies can be difficult to groom but Carolyn did not disappoint! He came back looking clean and she listened to exactly how I wanted him cut. Definitely going to bring him back.

First time bringing my dog - groomer (Melissa) wasn’t professional in handling what I wanted; to elaborate, she sounded like my request was too much of a job for her and just decided to do it her way. Not to mention, I DID NOT get a call that the grooming was complete.Called the number to see if the service was complete at the 3 hour mark because she said it’ll take 1.5-2 hours - no response from ANYONE.Value? I paid about $80 for a service that was very, VERY low quality. My dog’s, before fluffy, hair is now all choppy and messed up.Had nail buffing included, but they seem to be just clipped.I also had teeth cleaning included, which also was not done.This place is a scam and the reviews here are not reliable.

My girlfriend and I drive further out to this vet clinic. The vets here are very welcoming and check my pup more thoroughly than our original vetco. I highly recommend to get petco premier and goto this Vetco it’s definitely worth it!

Just got really upset seeing these beautiful poor fishes swimming in a small container in their own waste, no food, and barely enough room. Wish Petco could find it in their hearts to do the right thing and change this. No fish deserve this treatment.

I went to exchange an online order of science diet canned dog food beef flavor to chicken flavor. I was charged $6.42 extra due to a price difference. I got the same exact brand and type except the flavor. I don’t understand why I was charged extra. It should’ve have been an even exchange. Matter of fact, chicken is always cheaper than beef.

My experience here was horrible. Where do I even begin? I’ve been taking my puppies to different groomers since we very first got them, and I’ve never seen this type of service before. I decided to finally give Petco a try because people always say how good this place is, but my experience was the complete opposite. I took both of my Cavapoo puppies for a wash and haircut and the end result was outrageous. I had no words for how bad of a job they did. When we first arrived, the people working there had a nasty attitude. No idea why. We then proceeded to pass them the dogs so that they can revise them and they were holding the dogs like they were disgusted or scared of them. We told them they were very calm and patient, but they were looking at them as if they were covered in mud or some sort of disease. One of the girl’s attitude was terrible along with the customer service from other members as if we were getting free service out of their pocket. We gave them simple instructions for their haircut and they came out looking choppy. Their hair was uneven, our dogs came out bitting their skin as if there was soap residue on them. The entire thing was extremely overpriced. We have gotten way better service and better outcome for cheaper. I will never understand why people get jobs just to treat people horribly. I truly had high hopes for this company and we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but there is no excuse for all the nasty attitudes and terrible customer service. You guys have to do better Petco, hire people who truly care and put their love into their work.
