Unfortunately I will no longer be patronizing Petco. I had a very unpleasant experience attempting to get my cat groomed. Firstly Petco's policies regarging cat grooming are bias against cat owners because at least at this location they refuse to service cats on weekends, which is not customer friendly to working cat onwners. During this negative experience, I had an appointment to get my cat groomed on a Friday, but due to weather that had been inclement earlier in the day was was delayed, but had called ahead and the female cat groomer said she would still be able to service my cat. Once I arrived I noticed no one in the grooming department and NO pets in there to speak of. I had a sales associate page the groomer and the sales person mentioned that the groomer had just been complaining several minutes earlier about not having anything to do because it was so slow. After several minutes the groomer arrived in that dept. and told me that I would have to set up a new appointment because she had no help and might be leaving work early because of the roads. Please keep in mind this all took place at 2:00pm in the afternoon and the sun was shining brightly and the main roads were clear and dry. Also there were NO pets at all in grooming. They had absolutely NO business and she refused to take my pet! By her own admission to her co-worker she said she had nothing to do. And if for some reason she wasn't going to do her job, she should have given the customer a call and told me not to come in before i drove all the way to the store. So if she wasn't grooming pets, what was Petco paying her to do? This is what is wrong with customer service today...THERE IS NONE or very little. These representatives often times don't value the customers or simply don't want to work, as I believe was the case in this situation. She was very arrogant as well telling me to "have a great day" in a sarcastic way. This store IS going out of business anyway and good-riddance to her and other lazy workers like her that make her store and the brand Petco look very bad. Hopefully she will not be re-hired at another store in the area and cause Petco to lose other customers!
