Wal looking for a cockatiel. I chose the world of birds and it ended up being the BEST place to purchase. The store is absolutely immaculate. The staff is knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. The information packet they gave me was the best I ever seen. My cockatiel "Baldy" is precarious. Healthy, friendly and an awesome companion. The bottom line for me is that anything I need i will purchase from here. What a pleasure to deal with a business that cares. Thank you

Best hand-fed baby bird store on the East Coast. They really care about their birds and customers. I've purchased 2 conures from them; 1 almost 30 years ago, and 1 this past May. Super people! If you want a hand-fed baby bird as a 20+ year family member, look no further!!

Their bird boarding service is the best option in the area and reasonably priced. I have peace of mind leaving my conure with them when I travel, knowing she will be taken care of well.

Employees here are super kind, friendly and knowledgeable of the birds kept and are always very helpful when it comes to getting proper supplies. I got my cute English Budgie, Banana in November and he is doing great so far, and has learned to say a couple of phrases!

We got three birds from this store and always go back for bird food, other supply and bird grooming and hotel services although the store is far from us. The owner and staff are so kind and they truly care the birds! Great people and service.

This place is not the best bird store to visit. They’re much smaller than they appear in photos, like much much smaller. It’s more of a supply pet shop than it is an interactive or viewing experience. I do also think they judged a book by its cover (me). I wore normal comfortable clothing, a beanie with my curls hanging behind, maybe seemed too “Latino” or “ghetto” with my necklaces on but when I walked in, I greeted what seemed to be the only person working there with a hello and got no response back. She didn’t even acknowledge that we were in the shop. That’s TERRIBLE business etiquette. And if I looked too suspicious for you, all the more reason to engage in conversation and see what brought us in to town. Your store. Drove 45 mins for your store to be absolutely let down. White washed store in a white washed town. Terrible.

I have been associated with world of birds since 2005 when I got my first pair of cockatiels. I have been an avid customer with them ever since having as many as 8 cockatiels at one time. They have high quality food and all the extras I need to sustain my birds. The people are incredibly nice and so helpful and I have also bought several cages from them as they are already assembled. If you are a bird lover you need to include world birds in your life. They are fantastic!!!

My housemate and I bought two cockatiels from them. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and the place was clean and full of happy birds. We got to play with them before deciding to buy and really got to bond and figure out which birds we wanted to purchase. The birds are worth every penny. Our two tiels are so sweet, playful and healthy. They're absolutely beautiful and fit into the household without a hitch. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a feathered friend!

Charming little place with lots of birds and employees who are experts in bird care. We bought our baby lovebird for our young daughter here three years ago and we’ve made it a yearly tradition to put the bird in her travel backpack and visit every year on her birthday because walking into this store is special.

If you're looking for real professionals, this is the place to go. The staff are so knowledgeable, and really care about the birds! If a bird store this successful has been around since 1972, I think they know their stuff!! All jokes aside, though, this is the only place I trust for my precious. Hand-raising the birds really shows a difference, and all the birds there are absolute sweethearts! I have a three-to-four month old cockatiel named Eggo who we purchased around early november, when he was only two weeks old. Since we couldn't yet take him home yet, he stayed with World of Birds for another 8 weeks until he was ready to come home. Since I went to spend time with him at WOB at least twice a week, he was already extremely comfortable with me by the time he got home! In conclusion; if your interested in buying a bird, this is absolutely the place to go!

I have been buying birds from this store for almost 20 years. The store is exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything that a bird could possibly need. The staff are truly "bird people" and really know what they're talking about when it comes to caring for any type of bird. The babies are on the upper end of the price scale but absolutely worth it when you see how much love, time and cuddling goes into every one. I would never get a bird from anywhere else! As to the uneducated bird owners out there, if a bird dies within 2 weeks of you bringing it home and it was both happy and healthy upon leaving, it's 99% most likely something you did or did not do to ensure it's health and safety.

Love it here! I went to visit my cockatiel baby on reserve, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They're so loving and knowledgeable about their birds, and you can tell by the birds' reactions how much they love the people there. I highly recommend!

I bought my healthy baby cockatiel from here in Dec. 2013 and she is a joy. The people there are knowledgeable and friendly. The store is clean and the birds look happy and healthy. As a matter of fact, the last three times I've been there, probably in the last four months or so, someone was cleaning something, so I know they take great pride in their store and its cleanliness. I would definitely recommend this store. Just realize that since its in the neighborhood it is in, you will pay a little extra - in my humble opinion, Chester, NJ (and many of the surrounding areas) are a bit overpriced with everything. Just part of life in the tri-state area.

It's a decent place for feed and one of the few that carries Harrisons pellets. Toys are slightly higher priced than online, but in a pinch it has what you'll need. Large central open air bird playroom where you can experience some juvenile parrots

wonderful store they love their birds:) One or two comments said the birds were expensive but this is a good thing! bird stuff and vets are expensive and it's good pet stores that take the time and love to raise a baby right not produce for a quick dollar. I'm from PA and searched for just the right place, and just the right bird for our family. I am very impressed with this store. My baby cockatiel hatched 12/23/17 and I finally got to bring him home a few days ago. I loved the store, very clean, great friendly and knowledgeable staff. My cockatiel is extremely healthy and very cuddly and loveable. Hes the most friendly cockatiel I've ever met! The last cockatiel I had took a while to get comfortable with me. This new little guy loves us all like we've been friends forever. I highly recommend getting your birds from here. They take excellent care of the babies and I can tell by the way my new baby acts that they take extra care in hand taming their babies. He loves us already, so it's clear to me the staff gave him lots of love and attention. Wonderful store and I'll never go anywhere else for a new bird! I agree the prices were slightly higher then other breeders or stores, but by very little. It was 100% worth the extra few bucks for this sweet baby. I would pay extra to know im getting a very well cared for bird and that is what I got. If I could give then 10 stars I certainly would! Thank you so much world of birds, your the best!

The staff at World of Birds really support the birds they make available. They are knowledgeable and ready to match you with the right bird for your family or lifestyle and ready to answer care questions after you bring your feathered friend home. They also have an assortment of difficult to find toys and play pens to enrich your bird’s life. You can indeed find some items here at a pet super store and they may be less money there, but you won’t find the level of knowledge or service at the super stores offered by World of Birds.

This isn’t an actual review it is a question. I’m getting a peach faced lovebird for my birthday at the end of November(November 27). Will I be able to get a young/baby peach faced lovebird from your store by then? Also if there is a reservation system can I reserve it in advance.(edit:) I wanted to know if the beginning of October is too late to reserve a peach faced lovebird.

I love the environment and seeing the baby birds play in the play pen. But what I do not like is that when I bought a lovebird there I was told she was missing her back feathers because her brothers and sisters picked on her. This was not the case. I kept her as healthy as I could for as long as I could, but she died a little less than a month ago, extremely thin and still with no back feathers. I may consider purchasing another bird from this place, when and only if I have enough money to also take the bird to the vet as soon as I get it.Very unhappy about my little lovebird though...

Over and beyond what you can imagine this store takes pride in EVERY bird they raise for purchase. My first purchase was a Bebe which disposition is beyond calm loves everyone and just a love she makes my family happy. she has learned a lot of words easy to train. Not even owning her for more then 3 months I'm amazed. I just purchase a jenday and will be another nice addition to our family and quiet the same as the be be can't wait for her to come home she is still to young and needs two times a day feedings. But I really wanted to talk about the store the owner to the help Marissa and owners wife outstanding they take the time with you. What a lovely place if you are a bird lover. This is truely bird heaven. You can play with the birds as long as you want just all around GREAT place. I would highly recommend this store the people in it to my friend. Definately. Awsome job I am grateful I met them and my newest additions to my family can't thank you enough..we are very happy with our be be, and jenday. Thank you.

It is amazing how clean this store is but the problem is how expensive the birds are! I understand you are out to make money but $200 for a cockatiel is almost to say unreasonable. Although I shouldn't be talking because the birds' personalities and happiness here is vivid!
