Great place to go for a day trip. Prepare to get dirty... you can leisurely stroll or fly through. Get their early. If your not athletic then don't do the 5 hour trip... it was about 80 bucks for a double kayak and gear is provided.

Amazing ! The best 3 hours of our camping trip . The woman who set us up was so kind and friendly. Don the man who dropped us off and picked us up was so kind and informative! He gave us a guided tour along the ride ! So many cool facts about the area . The trip itself was amazing . Very easy but challenging at the same time ( if this is your first time 😂 ) from the laughs after being stuck , again , to the moments you stop and enjoy the water ! Super kid friendly , my 6 year old LOVED it . Seriously recommend!

We've been using Micks for many years and always have a great time with our group. They have a nice little set up for renting canoes and kayaking and can accommodate large groups. You can sign up for river trips anywhere from 2-4 hours long. They have a shower and changing rooms when you are finished and are very easy to get to.

Third time doing a trip down the Oswego and every one has been 10/10. Friendly staff and the whole place runs like a well oiled machine. Quick drop off to the start point and then 3 hours of beautiful kayaking bliss. Busses are waiting at the exit. Go-to when I want a little kayaking excursion

Micks is a great day trip idea. We kayaked for five hours and got the most of our money's worth, although at first glance prices are a little steep they are worth it. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. All we had to do was reserve the kayaks for our group and they did the rest. The equipment was in good condition and life vests were provided as was transportation to/from the drop/end points, Micks will even hold on to your car keys so you don't loose them. There is only one single bathroom to each sex, but there are additional port a pots. You can shower off after returning, soap and shampoo was also availavle. And there are two changing rooms. Just remember to bring a lunch and some water, gloves if you are easy to blisters, water shoes and TP for on the river; anything extra you need can be purchased in the shop before you head out, all at great prices. Thanks so much for making an enjoyable day with friends, will be returning.

I searched for a COVID-friendly activity for my family and I think I found the perfect solution. Even with my inexperienced kids and wife, the languid stretch of water we paddled down was comfortable and safe. Most of the time, the depth was only two or three feet and there are only a few of tricky-to-navigate bends.The staff of Mick's was friendly and made the good recommendation for the Hawkin Bridge to Godfrey Bridge trip. It's only 2 hours if you paddled straight. But there are quite a few beaches along the way that allowed us to stop, stretch, and eat our picnic lunch. So our total time out was closer to 3 hours. But time really doesn't matter too much as the bus will constantly loop around to pick you up.If you're lucky, you'll see a rope swing or two along the way. I highly recommend trying them out. The water may be dark as tea from the cedar trees' roots and leaves, but it's very clean and refreshing!A couple of things:-Remember to bring a cash tip for the bus driver!-You can safely leave your car keys with the cashier.-Kayaks are easier to pilot than canoes. I'll definitely be trying that next time!

Great place for a trip on the Wading River. Great service at reasonable prices. I've used them for a half dozen trips over the last 10 years and they never disappoint. The will pick up your group from you campsite and also transport your boats for a small fee. They have plenty of single kayaks, which makes for the easiest trip on a river than runs pretty low normally.

Great place for rentals or private shuttling your boat upstream and to get picked up downstream. Typically you can pick a 3 or 5 hour tour, that just depends on where they drop you off. The place gets extremely busy and they recommend you be signed up and paid for and ready by 9:30a to give you time to get downstream for them to pick you up and bring you back to Mick’s. Their “store” has quite a bit you could need and you maybe forgot home. Mostly for slightly higher prices but nothing crazy. Check em out, and try to remember to tip your driver, they’re good folk!!

Mick's gave our Scout troop a great paddle through the Pine Barrens! They ran plenty of buses throughout the day for gear and participants to keep things moving, all of their people were very friendly and professional, and they were used to the chaos of dealing with Scouts. They run a top-notch operation.

Just spent a great day paddling on the Wading River. Mick’s is our go to place for kayak and canoe rentals. This was our first visit this summer and we were very pleased to see how responsibly they are operating under Covid restrictions.

Micks has everything you need to take a lazy ride through the "wilds" of the NJ state forest. It isn't white water but its fun and relaxing. They drop you off and pick you up... all you have to do is float down the river... Oh yeah the other thing is keep upright!

Employees are MORE then accommodating! Competitive prices even though there is no real comparison to their establishment! My father spends 75% of his time in a wheelchair for pain issues in his knees and ankles. They made him feel comfortable and helped him choose the right vessel for him!

The experience I had here was fantastic. They’re very accommodating and have good prices. They have a little store, that has souvenirs and supplies like sunscreen and snacks. I do have one point of concern and that would be the equipment. The paddle that I was give had a crack in it which would bend when paddling. If you go here, just check the equipment. Other then that, I would highly recommend this place if you have some experience with kayaks/canoes and want a good challenge.

Micks staff was very friendly, well organized and efficient. We chose the less traveled and more difficult Oswego River. It's 7.7 miles. You have to maneuver around low branches and obstacles. We liked doing this. You should be in decent physical shape, especially if it is windy. The open areas towards the end could get challenging if you have a head wind. There are mile markers along the river so you can keep track of your progress.Go for the Wading River if you don't want to navigate around the obstacles. Our experience was nothing like Puppy Lover's. The staff was great. I enjoyed it so much that I will do it again next year.... and I don't tend to do something twice.
