I don’t often post reviews, but Well Pet Animal Hospital goes above and beyond for the pets and families they care for. We recently moved to NJ from Texas, where we had a very friendly vet who was not necessarily doing what was best for our elderly dog. Dr. Wellington changed his treatment completely, sparing him an unnecessary surgery. I truly believe that these changes gave him a new lease on life.We recently lost our sweet boy to cancer. The entire staff at Well Pet, who I’ve come to know and who I look forward to seeing and working with, was kind, caring, and thoughtful throughout the diagnosis and grieving process. Dr. Wellington’s changes to his medication and treatment may well have given us more time with him and certainly made his final months happier and healthier.We have another dog who is much younger, and I expect her to be a Well Pet patient for her lifetime. They have my trust and my respect after 14 years as a pet owner.

Dr Wellington and the staff here genuinely care about their patients and families. The practice doesn't feel like a frigid corporate operation like so many around. We lost two dogs on the same day, and the staff were so kind. Now we have three new pets, cats and a dog, who will all start their Well Pet journey.

Great great great animal hospital. Front desk staff are so lovely, amazing customer service! Dr Wellington is also super sweet and nice, explains everything well. I’m in the middle of moving my pet across country and they accommodated appts for everything I needed. I was even running a little late today and they were flexible. Highly recommend them. Very warm and sweet environment.

Best veterinarian we have ever had! I am picky about my pets, but Dr. Wellington is a caring, trustworthy, and very compassionate vet. He truly cares for his patients and their people! The office staff is lovely and goes above and beyond to keep things running smoothly. Would recommend 100%.

My current veterinarian referred me to Well Pet to help me with documentation for my pet to travel. We have had a great experience since the initial visit! The team at Well Pet is very friendly and accommodating. They are diligent and made the process easy for me and my dog Kain. We are relocating overseas and I can’t thank them enough!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Highly recommend!!

I love Well Pet Hospital. I have been taking my fur baby there si nce he was a puppy. The doctor is pleasant..caring...and professional. The staff are also very nice. I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else!!

Dr Wellington is a great man and a excellent doctor. My Maltese used to attack other vets and have a major anxiety attack. I used to have to sedate her. Then I found Well Pet and over time my dog literally loves Dr Wellington. I used to take my cat there also and when we had to put her down from Cancer and old age it was extremely sad. The staff at Well Pet was amazing they were so good to me and my family. I feel so lucky to have found this place. My ex boyfriend referred me here and it was the best thing I took away from that relationship.

We brought our cat Oscar here because of issues he was having with his eye. The staff were so sweet and friendly, they were very gentle with him and he stayed very calm when receiving eye drops. There was barely any wait time and the prices were very reasonable. Excellent care was provided and we’re confident that he’ll be feeling better in no time :)

I have been taking my senior dogs here for two years now and the doctor and staff are all amazing!Dr Wellington is extremely knowledgeable and really takes his time to explain everything I have questions about (which is a lot). I follow all of his advice on how to keep my pets healthy and happy in their old age and both of them are in great shape thanks to his care.Well Pet prices are very affordable compared to some other veterinary hospital locations in the area and I have never been overcharged or felt that I was paying to much for the exceptional care my dogs receive.Shout out to Alicia at the front desk!

This place is amazing. I am a new guinea pig owner and he came with an upper respiratory infection. After calling about 6 other clinics that did not take exotic pets, I gave Well Pet a call. The receptionist was very nice and they were able to get me an appointment the same day. I was happy to know they have COVID restriction in place and had me call from the car and took me right into a room. Dr. Wellington is so nice and knowledgeable. I am beyond pleased with this clinic and would recommend Dr Wellington to everyone!

OVERCHARGE!!We went to Dr. Wellington for a rabies shot, he injected my dog without applying alcohol wipe before or after the shot. Then the bill was $369. A month later for the second rabies shot, same thing I was in and out in minutes. And I find out this was not covered by the $369 that was paid. They charged me $83. The charges were breakdown to fool you...There was office visit and medical disposal charges. He is friendly and smooth. Don't waste your money and find a vet that actually care for your animal.

This clinic is the best. They are kind and compassionate. They were able to diagnose and treat my dog’s problem when she was misdiagnosed elsewhere. The dog is doing fine and no medication was even needed. I highly recommend.

We love Well Pet! Dr. Wellington is kind, patient, intelligent, and always up to date with the veterinary literature. The facility is spotless, it’s always easy to get an appointment, the wait time is minimal (if any), and the pricing is more than reasonable. Martha and the rest of the Well Pet staff are compassionate and genuinely care about the animals that are entrusted in their care. Dr. Wellington and his staff are just wonderful. They took care of my dying 17-year old cat with such kindness, compassion, and honesty, as if he were their own. The fee was incredibly reasonable, and there was no attempt to sell me unnecessary treatments to prolong his life. Dr. Wellington and his assistant sent my boy on his final journey with gentleness, respect, and caring. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a veterinarian who is in this business because they truly love animals. That means a lot, especially to someone who has had some really appalling experiences with other local vets. He is the best veterinarian in the area, by far, and in it for all the right reasons. For some reason this review keeps disappearing (wonder why) as many have said , this place is great .. until you complain about the bill of course then you see why they really became vets . Dr. Wellington was nice to my husband and I until we had an issue with a bill that was close to $600 when it was supposed to be about $170 per pet as I was quoted multiple times when I called just to make sure . Now we recorded this call because we have been scammed before now upon offering to show them this , they said we can show them but there will be NO refund offered regardless , my husband even recorded that part when they started teaming up on him.. which is really different than what mr Wellington had stated in his response to my husband Marc’s review on here . He replied saying that Marc was getting verbally abusive with his staff and that they did offer a refund which is funny because On the tape that my husband posted on the vets Facebook page (the same one he emailed to the vet and of course , didn’t get a response to ) you hear them [the staff ] teaming up on Marc but you don’t hear any verbal abuse from Marc nor do you hear them offer to refund him if he shows the recording .. but what you do hear is them say they will NOT refund him regardless of what the recording says about the prices . So we were stuck paying the surprise fees but we did get a call from dr Wellington after letting us know he can’t refund us and just like his staff members said when she followed my husband outside “if you want to make an issue of this or dispute this, then you won’t be traveling with your pets “ they knew that we had 10 days to get our pets endorsed and they were the only local vet who could do it within that time frame so they took advantage . My husband even mentioned that to dr Wellington on the phone and his response was “well” as you can see he won’t apologize but what he will do is lie in his responses and apologize … for Marc’s confusion . Typical corporate America deflection . Please read other negative reviews that mention what happens when’s there’s any issue about the bill before bringing your fur babies here.

Dr. Wellington and the Well Pet staff continue to provide superior care for our dog Clarence. Dr. Wellington has cared for my older dogs since he opened his practice. He takes the time to observe my dogs' behaviors, examine them thoroughly, and listen to my comments and concerns. He offers thoughtful advice and recommendtions, never more than they need. He referred one dog to a cardiac specialist at the right time, and monitors the other dog's wellness needs as she ages. Staff is friendly and efficient.
