The Fresh Market of Cedar Grove ,What keeps me coming back over & over ??Is their fresh SEAFOOD/ FISH Department. Seafood is super fresh , with a great variety . They manage to get local in season fresh whole and filets caught in the waters of NJ when available .Whoever is their seafood buyer definitely knows his stuff !!! Their prices are fair for the qualityThe Seafood counter personnel are accommodating and knowledgable .

If you like your cold cuts sliced thin,you should go somewhere else.3rd time requested paper thin and got whatever thickness the guy wanted to use.way too thick.i don't know why this is such a difficult request.

One to two items every week of produce go bad before you use it. Which is like 3/5 days. Mostly Berries and lettuce. Once every few weeks I bring back rather than throwing out so I can get the items I need to finish eating for the week with the items I needed. Today manager was real rude.Shelf life on bread items are often expired or 1-2 daysChicken often weighs less than it says. They must charge you for the packaging.

This past weekend, we used Fresh Grocer, Nicholas Markets catering for a party (approximately 65 people). It was fantastic!!! Fred from the Cedar Grove location went above and beyond getting us set up and making sure we had enough food for our guests. Needless to say, there were many compliments on the food. Highly recommend!!!!

Has Shop Rite Bowl and Basket products, but you cannot use your Shop Rite Price Plus card. Aisles are very narrow. Prices are high. One positive.. the shopping carts are nicer than other markets around here. The handle is curved for comfort. They are plastic, not metal.

I find it convenient to shop in my town and had good experience until today ; I’ve purchased some chicken legs ( store brand ) and at home , portioning it , I discovered several pieces of loose skin, thrown in the tray, and unusual amount of skin and fat on the meat; so much in fact that I used my scale to weigh it …11.75 oz !!!!! Really ??Reasonal amount of fat is to be expected but almost 3/4 of a pound ??What is going on ????

So frustrating to go here. Supposed to have a soft connection to Shoprite. I don't get it. Brands are hit and miss. Always holes in the shevels; not being filled in or lack proper inventory. 🙄 Pricing so much higher especially at fresh food or prepared packaged offering. I told my wife I'd rather go alittle further to SR and get consistancy , and although inflation pricing, still less then here.My opinion " glorified 711".

I have been going to this supermarket for 9 years. The produce, deli and butcher are great. The bakery use to be really good but has changed. They aren't bad but they aren't what they use to be. Customer service is great. Parking lot gets full on Holidays and Tuesdays (Senior Citizen day) but even when full it isn't crazy.

A market style store with a supermarket feel. Employees are friendly and helpful. They have a fantastic bakery and deli area as well as produce. If you want that neighborhood store feel then Fresh Grocer is for you!!

Very pleasant to shop here. Great to have a place to shop for the shoprite items without the madness that is West Orange. Aisles are a bit narrow but when I go in the weekends in the evening I never feel it is that crowded. They seem to have a decent selection and the store is always clean.

One of the best grocery stores in the area, hands down. They've struck a near perfect balance between quality & price, which is something retailers of any type are rarely able to do. My experiences with the staff have always been friendly and helpful, even first thing on a Saturday morning. The produce, meats, and cheeses are always very fresh and never, ever on the brink of going bad.The store is a bit smaller, darker, and has narrower isles than some other supermarket chains in the area, and the selection of items is not the widest around. But to be honest, I prefer the intimate, low key, more relaxed atmosphere that this produces, and they stock all the items I'm looking for. If they remodel it to resemble some other local supermarkets, I'll probably stop going, lol.Overall, one of your best bests for a dependable, high-quality, mid-range supermarket for many miles in all directions. Highly recommend!

Everytime ! Every time i go shop here i come across the most rudest cashier who i feel constantly harasses my husband and I. Today, while checking out at another register.. our cashier didn’t have any bags. So my husband walked over to this cashiers register and grabbed 2 bags she instantly stopped my husband and told him he couldnt get a bag! Excuse me? Why not? We are paying for them! And out cashier doesnt have any. What were we supposed to do? She’s obnoxious and rude! Her name is Karen! And no i am not being funny! She truly fits her name!!!

I love this place. It's open early so you can stop in before work, and I work at 8am. There is beautiful fresh produce and a wide selection even given how small this particular store is. I love the prepared foods, which have both greasy junk food for late night cravings and healthy options for when you just don't have time to cook. The location is convenient on rt. 23. I've never been unable to find parking.

I like this store for convenience. They carry Boar's Head at the deli, which my family prefers. The bakery is great. Their Butter Cream icing is perfect (jmo) it's not too sweet or like that fluffy icing some bakeries try to push off as butter cream. Had several bday cakes/cupcakes made from here and their cannoli cream is pretty good too.

Good store if you need to pick something up that you plan to use same day or next day. Bakery items are delicious. I’ve purchased mushrooms that went moldy three days after buying though. They do carry shoprite products but everything is not always fresh.

This place used to be great when it was Foodtown but now it’s awful. While they made some improvements, overall it’s a fail. Their new cheap bags rip, the self check out is annoying and there is always a wait to checkout in the regular lines. There’s never parking anymore because at any given time there are 12-15 just waiting to checkout. The great thing about Foodtown is there was NEVER a wait to checkout. Ever
