Dollar Tree in Carteret may have actually set a personal record for me. On a recent trip to Carteret, I had a necessity for a quick cold beverage. So I walked in, quickly found the refrigerated beverages cabinet, grabbed a quick bottle of Coke, and proceeded to the checkout counter. All in less than thirty seconds. It then proceeded to take nearly ten minutes to finally checkout, pay, and be on my way. This likely is the highest proportion of quickest shop time to checkout and departure for any Dollar Tree I have ever patronized. It's a good thing I had time for my bus or this review would be more scathing in nature.

Dollar Tree store is a very convenient place to buy your household,kitchen use items, cleaning supplies. I went to buy some packing items,cleaning items and liners rolls for our home.This store is like one stop store for party supplies that is any type of small functions at home.Customer service is good.

I usually like this one but they seem to be out of a lot of stuff. No Christmas stockings or Santa hats, food aisle missing alot of stuff. They are better then the one in Avenel but seems like they never have enough help in either one, or the help they do have needs help managing their time. This time of year they should have dedicated cashiers so they don't have to pull employees from stocking the shelves to work the registers.

This store is useless. They never have what your looking for. The store is always a mess. You can never find anyone to help you. The staff is rude When! When you as a store assistant when they'll be getting new stock. The answer is not sure but soon. We should all get together start a petition, to shut this store down and put something more useful and customer friendly In its place. This store at its current operations, is useless and does not meet the needs nor the value of the residents in which it claims to serve. Lets demand it close it down, and lets petition for a retail store that more suits, and respects the value and business of those in Carteret.

On September 28th, I walked into Dollar Tree to buy a gift bag. The store was extremely messy. The line was extremely long. The cashier called for backup twice. The manager came ten minutes later and replied to the cashier, “ why didn’t you call for backup “. She did! The manager then helped everyone and was not wearing a mask as he told others they couldn’t come in without one .

I used to love this dollar store and it’s close to my house.... unfortunately the last time I was in there I saw a mouse run across the aisle! It really turned me off ... a few days later the store was closed! Hopefully to clean up the rodent problem! I’ll travel to Woodbridge or Linden... unless they cleaned up this store... Also the employees should not be able to have their phones in them while working!

Certain stuff I always go to Dollar Tree for. Found what I needed (as is 90% of the time ). Store wasn't crowded so I checked out quickly. Always helps to bring small change as tax may be .03 or .07 ... etc. Good store, hardworking people!!!!!

Even though the prices have increased everywhere,dollar tree is still worth the trip.thus one store in Carteret seemed understaffed and messy,but still great bargains.

Store needs someone to come in and clean it up. Most of the aisles are disorganized and trashed. I live in the area but I rather go out of the area to shop at other organized Dollar Trees.

One giant Dollar Tree which will provide you every single item that you need. Always have a spot in parking lot. Food is always fresh and staff are so gentle at all times.

A whole variety of things for $1. Good place to pick up snacks, candy, party supplies, kichenware, and some pet supplies. There is a limited supply of refrigerated goods. Store is a bit cluttered but still a great place for a bargin.

Really disappointed on the staff: 3 girls at the register were cursing and when we asked them to stop because there were kids there the one with blue hair started yelling nasty words and she told us "you just bought $5 I don't give a sh..t about what you think".... really someone should be taking care of this issues....

Everything breaks to fast. I know it’s $1 and I shouldn’t expect much from it. But most items break when they come home. Pens are ussally out of ink. Candy is not worth a dollar, you get so less.

Always open one register. Takes too long for them to realize to open another one.Something i don't feel like spending 15min in line until they open second register

I always love going here its 4 mins walk from my home. But recently i went and it was Temporary closed due to unsatisfactory inspection report. This was 20th july 2020. I hope it reopens soon.
