This was our first time using Urban Tails, and we had a great experience! They were busy, so it did take a while, but Leo’s bath and haircut came out perfect! His fluffy paws and booty were shaved down perfectly, his haircut was great, ears squeaky clean and his nails trimmed! Tori was super nice and Leo was a happy customer!

This business is very rude and unprofessional. Watch out for the late fees.I dropped my dog off a few minutes before his appointment (at 9:00) as I always do. At 12:09 I received a phone call saying he was ready and had been waiting for over an hour. They usually take 3+ hrs to groom my dog so I had no expectation that he was even possibly ready after only 1.5 hrs. I explained that I had received no prior call but would come get him immediately, which I did. I live in Goshen less than 1/2 mile from this business, so I was there in approx 5 minutes. Upon arriving I explained that I had no record of a phone call or voice message and asked if I would still be charged a late fee. “Yes” was their answer. I tried to show them my call records and was told I could have deleted the call. They also said they care about the well being of the dogs (I’m spending over $60 to have my 15 lb dog’s hair cut and they insinuated I don’t care about my dog. That’s interesting logic). I paid the fee and left without exchanging niceties.At 12:50 their original voicemail popped up in my phone. Clearly something wasn’t working properly earlier in the day.This business is happy to rely on one way communications with no verification of message receipt then punish the customer when there is the slightest communication breakdown. I was a regular customer who always arrived on time and tried to support a hyper local business. I always paid the extra fees without complaint when my dog had extra mats and I even tipped after they nicked his ear (on two consecutive visits). For this, I was treated like a liar who had no respect for animals. They seem to forget their own shortcomings while expecting the customer to be infallible and clairvoyant.I will be going back to Scissors and Suds or maybe I’ll check out Muddy Paws. I’m willing to make the drive if it means getting a little basic respect.I wish Urban Tails luck. They are going to need it if they want to survive.

Called about a simple nail trimming. The price was very reasonable and they got us in right away. The two women who trimmed our two dogs' nails were very compassionate with our unexperienced dogs.Would definitely recommend Urban Tales Grooming.

I cannot say enough great things about this place and the crew there! My dog gets so excited when she sees that's where I'm taking her and I know she's in good hands. I have a Bordercollie and they always take great care of her! When I pick her up she's all smiles with a beautifully groomed coat. ❤️🐾

JUST A WARNING......Normally I don't take the time to post negative reviews, but after today's grooming visit, I felt the need to warn other customers or potential customers. On a positive side, the grooming of our mini golden doodle has always been very good and I have no complaints with her grooming. My issue is with the owner being rude to someone who has been a loyal customer for over the last two years. The business owner is also very condescending and sarcastic. After arriving 8 minutes late for a 9am visit on the day after Labor Day, I was met with no greeting other than " You're going to have a late fee added to your bill". Understand, our dog never goes in right away and is always put in a cage in the back room(for who knows how long). She also is always there for a 2-3 hour period. Again, no issues there. My complaint started with the "Late Fee" that I didn't know existed until I was told very rudely this morning. The owner also stated in a "text" to me that I am "IGNORANT" as to the numerous times I have been late. This is absolutely not true as there was only 1 time that we were late in arriving and that was when they were paving the only road from the GSP to her office. That day, I immediately called to tell her we would be 15 minutes late. I was met with, "in that case we have to reschedule". Again, that was not an issue with me and I understood. If there was a policy of a late fee or late drop off fee, I should have been told of that prior to today if what she stated of always being late was true. After all, they do have a large placard sign stating that its "CASH ONLY" for payments.Today, being a crazy traffic morning, I was exactly 8 minutes late due to holiday traffic. We live in Ocean City and there was an unexpected traffic delay leaving town. I didn't consider 8 minutes late to be an issue or need to call as even my medical doctor would understand that sometimes things happen and its not the norm. If I was going to be 15 minutes late, I would surely have called as I did the only other time I was running late due to road work on the route to her business. By the way, I am always generous in my tips and felt that an exorbitant late fee would serve as my tip. On my 40 minute drive home, I was texted by the owner that don't bother rescheduling and to look for a new groomer. She was very sarcastic and stated upon my text of inquiry to put a Heart Emoji on my complaint and a final "God Bless'. On another note, there were several times over the past two years that her associates needed me to come in earlier or later than our appointment and I always tried to accommodate them as I understand people cancel or reschedule I never asked for a rescheduling fee from them and didn't expect them to do so. As I was surprised with the statement that we are always late, I asked the owner to document the times I was late and how many late fees I was issued. Of course there was no documentation made and no fees issued or paid. I personally feel that they just are an overbooked business and don't need any more customers and basically don't care if they lose customers. Either way, SARCASM and immaturity as a business owner are not traits that customers should tolerate. Respectfully,-A former loyal customer

I would totally recommend Urban Tails for Dog Grooming. They did a Fabulous job with my 13 year old Pomeranian. Also the Staff was very friendly.

Wonderful and caring staff. They obviously love their job and do wonderful work no matter the pet. With so many more dogs being bred with hair, grooming is so much part of the dog's life. The pups, BIG and small, love coming here and there is an amazing amount of socialization.

Alyssa and Alexa are absolutely fabulous. As a veterinarian, it’s not only important to me what my dog looks like after his grooming, but what he experiences while being groomed (the noise level, his safety, the temperature of the facility, etc). All of the good things I’ve heard were true - these ladies have something really great going here. Benny loves his new summer look!

At this point have taken my standard poodle there once for grooming They did a fantastic job and are fairly priced. I drove around and checked out all the local groomers. I chose this groomer because of the physical facility is updated clean and organized Location is a drive for me but they are the best in Cape May area

Extremely happy with my experience here. I have a new labradoodle and this is my first experience with long haired dogs and all the fun stuff that comes with them, like matting. Lol. I felt completely comfortable with leaving my little buddy in their care and I was completely happy with the end result. And more importantly, I can see my dog is happier and more comfortable. I believe I presented them with quite a challenge, and they did not disappoint. Thanks!

We have a VERY sassy boy, who appears mean...we have to get him a little loopy everytime he goes to the Vet, groomer...etc. Our Snoopy now goes with VERY little medicine in him....and they do an amazing job!Especially the last time, when he had a lot of Poo on the behind!They are GREAT! They take their time!Love, love love them!!

I can't say enough good things about this place! We had a lovely experience. I'm so grateful she was able to squeeze my boy in last minute. She did a wonderful job and was so sweet with him, taking extra steps to ensure it was as stress-free as possible. We'll definitely be going back with our other dogs. Highly recommend!!!

Overview: professional staff, very clean facility, great serviceLast Monday I adopted a dog from the shelter who was extremely matted. Although I was not an existing client, Alexa was kind enough to squeeze him in for a grooming appointment the same week.Full disclosure, I was nervous for a couple of reasons; I had a newly adopted shelter dog so I wasn’t sure how he’d react to grooming and I only learned about Urban Tails via a google search, therefore, I wasn’t familiar with this business or with Alexa as a groomer. After speaking with her on the phone prior to the appointment, some of my concerns were alleviated. Alexa was very patient and gracious in answering all of my questions. At the appointment, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the professionalism of Alexa and her staff (I’m sorry that I cannot recall the name of the other young lady who was also working that day). It was evident to me that they take pride in their work and truly care about the well being of their clients.I understand that sometimes deciding who to trust with our furiends can be daunting, but even after the first visit I believe this to be a business that is run with integrity. I will return for all of Marvin’s grooming needs and feel comfortable recommending without reservation.

Our CKC spaniel is very high maintenance with 2 fur coats and long furry ears and Grinch feet to boot. Finding the absolute correct Groomer is so important to us because Maxximus gets anxiety from the whole experience and he needs grooming every 3 to 4 weeks! We FINALLY found our Groomer Alexa “Lex” @ Urban Tails Grooming: professional, clean, and gives an amazing “Spa Day” for our precious Maxximus Decimus Meridius 🐾🐾🐶
