Acme is a supermarket and the people who work here at great. I worked for 20 years for a supermarket chain. The Acme in North cape may nj. Is one of the best I have ever shopped in. Prices are hi but show me a place who's Prices are not hi. I never have a problem in this store. If they see long lines in the front. They open up another cashier.

Lot of stuff to purchase here. The workers are super helpful and care about the customers. The new carts are no good and make things difficult to put items in especially the top basket. Its a lousy design. The prices are getting too high even with store brand items.

Kudos to ACME Markets for really stepping up their Vegan game. I've been mostly vegan/heavily plant based for about 8 months now and I am continually finding very intersting items in the store. The Produce department has a ton of variety!

I absolutely love my local grocery store ....I had the worst experience tonight ( I'm pretty much there every night ) I am so upset I didn't even get the employees name. I purchased 3 acme bags, proceeded to load my 60some dollars in groceries....before I could pay for them a middle age African American woman who has been nothing but pleasant on more than one occasion came over and asked me if I scanned the bags ...I said ofcourse I did ...it was the first thing I did as my extra large bag I thought could hold my 4 cases of mini sodas ripped ....the bags are 1.99 each ....she then went into my cart and started to rip the tags off ....I have an 11 yr old and would prefer less handling because viruses are crazy right now ...I said politely ma'am I'm more than capable to do that myself thank you ...and finished paying ....b4 I could put my wallet away she was infront of me printing off my receipt I had my ear bud in and saw her talking ...I said I'm sorry what was that and ever so rudely she said I'm not talking to u ....the other employees looked stunned. Went to my car loaded my groceries then went back to ask the woman why she behaved that way ....she attacked right from the start saying I stole the bags....clearly printed on the receipt as 3 for 5.97 ..she said there are 1.99 each thats not the bags ....really...it's called math ...the proceeded to say I was rude and out of line ...the front desk manager who knows me quiet well did nothing ....I have no idea what set this woman off but she clearly had it in for me b4 I walked in the store ...so disappointed

I bought a tuna hoagie and the roll consisted of a slice of tomatoe and a little bit of onion and lettuce. I had a problem finding the tuna fish SMH. This was the worst tuna hoagie I ever had in the 66 years of living. Im notLieing when I say there was little to no tuna on the roll. What a waste of money plus it was for my dinner. I had to order a tuna hoagie from a place close to me and that was delicious. Come on Acme you can do better than this.

It's a nice store but all the extra aisle stacks and things in the way make it hard to get around when you're trying to pass someone. I understand it's part of marketing but as a customer I see it as a safety issue. Also the prices seem very high unless it's a sale item

Big, overpriced but has everything you need from bread to beer. Small isles with confusing layout makes for an extended shopping trip.

It's not my favorite place to shop. High costs and very frequent movement of inventory wastes my time. Especially when in a hurry. Staff is great and know their stuff. Pharmacy is an easy stop and go. Great place to get vaccines.

Physically a lovely space. However, no whole grain breads, flowers sold out, fresh vegetable selection limited. For healthy foods, Acme in Wildwood Crest has a better selection.

Please Cape May Court House Acme get some small carts or at least hand baskets! There are no longer any options other than a huge cart. The reason I’ve been told is that they get stolen. Then why is Shop Rite in Rio Grande and other stores able to provide both of those items? It’s a lame excuse!! Consider the large number of customers who need less than 6 items, too many too hold in one’s hands, and way too few to need a full size cart. It’s part of the cost of doing business, get over it!

Limited international aisle no English biscuits, the rotisserie chicken flavor/quality is inconsistent, first time not great, second time tasty, guess it depends on who's cooking. Just ok. I've been to better ACME stores

Store was clean, we got there early on a Thursday morning, so not busy at all. Some items were gone/out of stock. Check out was easy...we forgot our shopping bags, but worked it out and put everything back in our cart to go to the car.

Selection is satisfactory. Sale prices are good but regular prices on some things seem high. Would love to see more selection in produce and hot soup options and hot food bar too, for nights you don't feel like cooking.

I have always shopped this Acme for over 20 years.Last month I purchased clams from the seafood dept. They were ninety percent bad.When I returned them the front desk said they couldn't handle it, I would need to go to the seafood department. The worker did not refund my money but exchanged it for lobster cakes that were bad as well.What really bothered me is that the worker smelled something going bad from the counter. He said, well ,I was thinking about putting the clams on sale because I have alot in the back that don't look good.After the bad lobster cakes I didn't go back again.I didn't want to deal with the front desk again or deal with the man in the seafood dept who treated my complaint lightly, to the point of still selling bad clams from his shipment.Now I wonder about the freshness of their other products, like meat , deli items and salads.I will find somewhere else to go.

Pandemic profiteering, aka scalping, is the sad business driver of this location in the last year. I have been going here for 20 years and while they were always pricey and expensive because of location, they have recently taken this strategy and turned it up to 11.While shopping there recently, they no longer offered plastic bags. New Jersey law, good for environment, okay fine no issues there. I asked for paper, which is not banned in New Jersey, which anyone used to get before from this exact location, and was told they don't have paper bags anymore, how convenient for them. I would have even paid for them like other store offer, usually it's 10 - 20 cents a bag.The only option was to purchase their "premium" shopping bags at $2 each. 10 times higher than what surrounding stores are selling paper bags at, and easily 2-3x the cost of these fabric bags at other stores we have seen. This is disgusting scalping taken to a new level, clearly aimed to rip off vacationers who would not be showing up with tons of reusable shopping bags.After spending $30 padding the stores pockets on premium bags that probably cost them less than 10 cents each, I walked out to my car. Don't park in the back of the lot, because they put remote wheel locks on the carts that are not calibrated properly. Near the middle of the aisle, the wheels all locked and the cart was not movable. I couldn't even move it out of the aisle.Someone had to get out of their car and help me physically lift the shopping cart off the ground and move it. The person said they had the exact same issues before.Maybe stop wasting money trying to create remote locking wireless shopping carts to solve a non existent problem. Those cannot be cheap and there is no way there is any financially sound business justification for this in this area.

Went for some milk. $45.00 later I checked out. All the items are properly displayed so you can see them . Gotta love the meat selection. Can't beat Lancaster brand meats

Always enjoy this store. They do have most anything you are looking for. Not their fault but prices are going up up up. I usually look for sale items or store brands which are good to help keep my budget.

It is a clean place with good employees. Some items are more expensive, but their sales are good.You'll be able to get liquor and hands down the best place to get the most beautiful flowers in a supermarket. It is hit or miss with other supermarkets when it comes to flowers! Their flowers come from South America; they are stunning when they are fully stocked. They are generally stocked.

Only because zero stars isnt an option. Since when can you not get seafood in the middle of the day? I spend between 150.00 and 250.00 on seafood each visit but today seafood is closed? Is it really a law that a person from the meat department can't do seafood. Customer service is no help. The only person working in the whole store and trying to help was from the bakery. Acme needs to train their employees on customer service especially the service desk. They lost my business

One of the nicer grocery stores in the region, unfortunately the front of store staff treat you like an absolute burden who is ruining their day if you need assistance with a coupon at check out. Giving customers the stop bothering me and get out of my store vibe is totally unnecessary and I would shop elsewhere if there were any other stores in the area with the same selection.

Another supermarket visit that doesn't have a whole lot to offer review wise. Bathrooms were not dirty but were not clean (kinda what you expect at a market). Did not interact with staff with self-check out available but the market was well stocked.

Our family rented a shore house in Stone Harbor, and instead of buying all of the food at home & hauling it down, we decided to just do the shopping at the local Acme. This Acme was really good for a lot of reasons. They had a lot of sales/promotions going on, and the prices were comparable to what we pay back home, and I did not have to join some loyalty club to get those prices. I've been in other supermarkets where they made me take 15 minutes to register for their loyalty club in order to get their sale prices. Acme did not. Their selection was very good, as well. Lots of food there, and they kept it pretty well stocked, considering how busy they were. Also super convenient was the in-store liquor part of the store. Could get beer, wine, & liquor at the same place as your groceries. Very convenient. On 2 separate visits to the store, we asked for help finding something, and both times we were guided right to where we needed to be. Very friendly & helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Stone Harbor or Avalon.

Overall a very good grocer with everything you need and high but respectable prices considering you're at the shore. Full wine, beer, and liquor selection including chilled. The seltzer selection was a little disappointing and oddly across two parts of the store. They do not carry bulk gum, at least not in the candy aisle.

Great place plenty of parking, good food selection, very clean , my only gripe was the cashier I had , had an attitude problem and wasnt helpful when I questioned a price that was marked lower. Or I would give the store 5stars. All any customers want is dignity and respect. Your job is customers based. Enjoy it, tuck your issues in your back pocket till after work.

For a seashore town, this Acme has everything you need plus more. Deli is great and everything is greasy. They offer a large selection of prepared food. Great for vacationers.

A huge store and well stocked. All shelves are very neatly displayed and clean. However, I have found the prices to be higher than at the Shop Rite in Rio Grande about 6 miles south of here and the Liquor store within this Acme is very expensive. One bottle of my favorite wine was $5 more per bottle.
