This is such a wonderful place to visit. Easy to navigate, lots to see but not so much it becomes a rushed visit. There is a diverse range of exhibits that engage people of all ages. The scuba divers waving and doing bubble tricks in the tank while cleaning made it all the better. Despite being compact, there are so many features like tanks where you can pet aquatic animals, a shark tunnel to walk under, a very cool hippo display and a shark net to walk over the tank!Very family friendly and primarily indoor which makes it a great stop any day. The fact they have Chickies and Pete's fries at their Cafeteria makes it a home run!

Always have a great time coming! This is my nephews second time here but first time actually noticing the fish and playing the activities! He had so much fun petting the fish! He really enjoyed the kid zone area and loved the shark tunnel. His favorite overall exhibit was helping blackbeard find his treasure! We got to see the hippos eat and walk through the shark tunnel. It was so fun and definitely cannot wait to go back again when he is older!

Loved this aquarium- many kid friendly options easy navigation and beautiful - We purchased tickets online and did not need to stop at the ticket booth. Proceed right to entrance- Restrooms just past the front door under the steps. Several Parking lots right by the facility with plenty of handicap options. Clean, nice moderately priced gift shop, food stands, cafeteria setting. Awesome shark tunnel and walkover. Loved the penguins, divers, hippos, and touch pools!

This is a nice aquarium. It’s not the largest one I’ve been to, but the collection of animals it features is quite good. There is a lot of information scattered around so visitors can learn quite a bit during their visit. Keep in mind there will likely be lots of kids during the day, with field trips and school groups there but it’s still possible to have a fun time. The cafe offers decent food.

Children had a blast!! First time there and didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised with the touch tanks and all the sea life to see. Favorite part was touching the sting rays and the 3D movie. Only think we didn't like is having to pay $40+ per person and then having to pay again for a couple activities that were not included in the general admission.

Initially, there's a $10 parking fee, which wasn't mentioned online. Ensure you park in the designated $10 lot to avoid tickets or towing. While the aquarium is great for kids, it feels a bit small; we only stayed for an hour due to crowds. However, there's staff for safety and guidance, and they educate kids about sea animals. The sight of mermaids delights the children.Inside there were numerous food stations and seating areas that make for a pleasant afternoon with the family.

Quite the experience for the whole family. My kids (4&6 yo) spent most of their time petting the stingrays, which was a fantastic experience. Shark tunnel was my favorite. Fun activity. Minus for the crowds, perhaps the weekdays are better. We had fun

I can't say enough great things about this place! #1, the staff! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly & helpful! This place was pretty crowded as it was a Saturday? But was still amazing! There us so much to see, so much educational stuff in here. The informative shows are really great too! We learned so much! We live 2.5 hours away and I bought a membership because I KNOW we will be back for sure a few times!!!

Excellent aquarium (which we have already been to!!!) Lots of different opportunities for children and adults! Visit 5 halls (they share knowledge about the underwater world and its inhabitants), there are many souvenirs, places where you can eat deliciously, as well as children's face painting. If you are in a place where you can see a shark (several species) up close, this is your place! here you can see them from all sides, take pictures and just enjoy the view of the moving world! It was also a pleasant discovery that you can feed a stingray 😃 it’s incomparable! definitely recommend everyone to visit.PS a few details ☺️ my daughter loves axalots and they are there parking costs $10 and there is enough space for everyone 😃

My granddaughter enjoyed her visit. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The mermaids were super nice with all the kids. They made the feel like they were the only kid in the room. I don't know how they do it, but they gave every kids an individual experience. We went early so there wasn't a big crowd. It did pick up as we were leaving.

There’s always an adventure to be had at adventure aquarium. I recently went with my daughter on her class trip. Unfortunately we didn’t have much time to spend there because we got a late start, but we’ve been here enough times to know exactly where to go and make sure we see everything. The kids loved touching the sharks and sting rays. They also liked walking over the sharks and through the tunnel. My only complaint is that it gets so crowded here. It’s hard to find a table to sit at and have lunch and I spent most of my time making sure I had my group of kids and that no one got lost.

It was a nice experience! Went in on a Thursday and it wasn’t too bad! Still a little crowded but not terrible; a lot of school trips. The decor is more kid friendly and directly towards kids but adults can have fun too. There were many opportunities for employees to engage with us and answer our questions! Very involved.Had lunch in the food court. The food is expensive but it’s pretty good. The facilities were clean and staff was friendly. Personally didn’t like the layout of the aquarium. I thought it was confusing but overall it was fun!

We recently visited the Adventure Aquarium with my family and had a wonderful experience! Our visit was on a Sunday evening from around 3 PM until closing, which proved to be a perfect time as it wasn't too crowded but still had a lively atmosphere. The aquarium was clean and seemed well-maintained, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The exhibits were fascinating, capturing the interest of our entire group, ranging from our kids, aged 12 and 17, to all of the adults . Despite my children being older, there was no shortage of engaging exhibits for them to enjoy, which was a pleasant surprise. We were all impressed by the variety of snacks available, although we only had some light refreshments since we had a big breakfast. For those looking to have a meal, there seemed to be plenty of appealing options. As adults, we found the visit educational and were able to comfortably walk through the entire place in about 2 hours without feeling rushed. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our overall experience.I highly recommend Adventure Aquarium for families with older children or just adults—it’s a treat for any age!

Although it’s not the largest aquarium, it has some really cool exhibits that may not be at every other one you’ve been to. The main thing being the Shark Bridge! Yup, you literally walk on a bridge across a pool of sharks- super cool! Also, the stingrays in the interactive exhibit were super friendly and you will definitely have your chance to pet them! Great place to visit while in Philadelphia!

Our boys love coming to the aquarium. We try to get there once a year. It's a great manageable day trip. They have a section to pet some of the animals and there is a rope bridge to walk over the shark tank. I love the hippos. They do have food for lunch. Usually it doesn't take us long to get through and see everything even at a slow pace. I also like that it's typically not insanely crowded whenever we go.

Maybe the best aquarium I’ve been to! There are a lot of the usual animals you’d see at other places (in beautiful tanks and themed hallways) but also special experiences I’ve only seen at this aquarium specifically! This is the only place where I’ve ever seen hippos, sea turtles, a bridge where u walk over sharks, or a shark touch tank. (They also have sting ray, horse shoe crab, and starfish touch tanks!) The food at the court was also pretty yummy!! (I got a chicken sandwich with fries) and everything seemed reasonably priced. I also got my tickets for cheaper by buying them ahead of time so I recommend that to others.

I went to celebrate my wife's birthday here. I added the "Feed the Sea Turtles Adventure" to our visit. Well worth the experience! The guide we had was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the aquarium and the sea turtles. Seeing the hippos swimming was very fun to watch, we must have watched them play for an hour at least. Afterward, we got to see Scuba Santa and his Elves! Even the sea creatures get a visit from Santa! Highly recommended to bring your family for the fun! Recommend ordering your tickets online and avoiding the lines at the entrance.

Drove an hour to get there with my toddler. It was pretty busy at opening. A few classes of 12-15 yr olds were there acting like they have never been in public before. The amount of cursing that was coming from them was ridiculous. I had to keep my 3 yr old away from them. When he was looking at exhibits multiple times he got pushed out of the way from the (big) kids. There were toddlers playing on the small play area near the Penguins, the big kids came and took over the play area with their cursing and running around knocking down the little kids. Nothing was done about it. So most of the parents just took the little kids out of the area. We did like the exhibits and wanted to love the place. But we didn’t have a good experience because of the older kids with no manners. We ended up leaving early, I did not want my toddler around that type of behavior or repeating the horrible things they were saying . Rules should’ve been enforced either by the so-called adults with the classes or employees of the aquarium.

Great aquarium to go to as there is at least 2 hours worth of exhibits you can look at or just sit around looking at. We went during the day so the crowds were reasonable and it was pleasant. Gift shop prices are a bit high, but its for the kids/memories. ($8 for magnets). Tickets must be purchased in advance, if you are purchasing from a discount (AAA or T Mobile) they cannot be used next day unfortunately.

My family had a great time visiting the aquarium, there is a lot to explore and my toddler absolutely loved watching the shark, hippo, penguin, turtle, fishes, birds etc.. The visit was absolutely amazing and fun.The place was clean and enjoyable however when you go closer to the open fish pool it had very strong fish smell for some people it might be bothersome, especially if you are too sensitive to smell like me.*Paid parking available. Parking fee: $10

I suggest to Reserve your time if you want to come! They get packed! Strollers and wagon are not permitted. Parking is within walking distance and it's $10 flat rate.Came here for the mermaid event and it did not disappoint! Regular admission is pricy about $40 for adults.

This place is, most days, 5 stars, better than Baltimore Aquarium, especially if you have kids. Closest, you can get to a live Hippo. Shark tunnel. Shark rope bridge! Multiple touch/pet locations. Outside and inside play spaces. They decorate for holidays. Employees are always kind and helpful. I did take one star away because the music play equipment was in need of repair, missing rubber end (essential to play the percussion instruments). Parts of exhibit glass are in need of repair, just polishing/filling/buffing out scratches to improve visibility through, still appearing structurally sounds, no worries there. Prices in food court and shop are high. The souvenir shop is undergoing renovation but is still open. Other than that it's really 5 star, usually spend about two hours when visiting. Parking is easy and generally close. I recommend weekday and afternoon to avoid crowds, which makes this place even more awesome for your family. We are two-time annual pass owners, and we highly recommend it. Although for some reason you can ((only)) get annual pass, including renewing for 20% off online. Annual pass owners get 10% off when renewing, including if in person. They really should make an exception for renewing annual pass owners for the max available percentage off regardless of whether in person or online. You know help parents out, especially in this economy. Either way, I hope your family enjoys as mine always does when visiting the adventure aquarium.
