Taylor Ham was a solid 4.6. 3 slices of Taylor ham (luckily thin sliced…could’ve been a bit more crispy) two eggs and exploding with cheese. Roll was a bit mashed hence the light deduction. Bonus points for setting their refrigerator at the right temp for chocolate milk. Only thing this place is missing is chocolate milk choices but Nesquik is good in a pinch.

Shall I see this old rag tag looking General store here in Califon and I pull over. go inside and it totally reminds me of some of the old-time General stores that I found in my hometown down and Wall Township. I looked over the menu and I see the big boy me a roast beef and horseradish sandwich order myself one of those. Man what a good sandwich. Cindy was great telling us will history of the store and how they got into the business. They her and her husband run the shop for 11 years. Definitely lots of sweets and treats definitely plenty of stuff for you too enjoy.

They have absolutely amazing food and service. The Homer is an amazing breakfast sandwich, The Jersey Devil amazing lunch sandwich, and The Reuben is really good i recommend having it with cornbeef the pastrami is good but cornbeef is better.

Very quaint place to grab breakfast or lunch. Just a few tables. Restroom, typical small menu, located in a tiny unique town with a scenic bridge just down the road.

Once you walk in you are greeted by a cut out picture of trump's mugshot for some reason. Love having trump stare at me while I'm eating. And the dude who owns it kinda looks like Guy Fieri with horrible acne scars. My favorite part is how sometimes this old lady will come in and get really pissed about why the youth are ruining the country or something and makes it everyone's problem. Food's good tho. Not amazing but it's definitely edible.

Second time here. It makes me very happy. It’s got the character of eateries from when I was younger. Someone today was so sweet to take care of my dog, who loved the bacon. And whoever the evil temptress is that makes those amazing gooey crispy brownies, my nutritionist sends his disregard but he’s not reviewing this place is he!?Five stars.

Neat, friendly, great food, low prices. Best Pork roll, egg, and cheese, in New Jersey and therefore best on the planet (since you don't get the anywhere else). So good. Breakfast and Lunch 7 days a week.Beautiful country around the area. 512 and 513 are great drives - scenic with nice bends and smooth surface. Follow River Road down stream to Ken Lockwood Gorge.75 Main St, Califon, NJ 07830 On 512 1/4 mile from 513.

Laid back atmosphere, kind workers, and delicious food! And, contrary to another users review, they allowed us to use the bathroom (and fill up our water bottles in the kitchen, for that matter). Great stop on bike rides on the Columbia trail.

Careful: Closed Tuesday and Saturday. Excellent lunch break stop for cyclists. Yummy sandwiches, bars, drinks/coffee. Friendly staff and service!

After calling several times with no answer, finally get an answer. Owner takes my order and is extremely rude, when I say I need to order another sandwich I get silence. Asked if he was ready and guy says I guess I’m trying to open here! I say well if you don’t want my business I’ll take it elsewhere! Owner says “Alright Good”. And hangs up on me. You call this customer service? What a joke.

Great grill cheese with tomato and bacon.Stopped second time for a delicious egg, hash brown breakfast at 11am. Breakfast is all day. Delicious! No wait during the week.

Best egg sandwich in NJ !!! They have a sign at the entrance door that states “ Enter as a stranger and will leave as a friend “. Very true !! Good coffee, Good sandwiches, fresh baked goods ... what else can you ask for in a local general store !!!

Owners are friendly as is the crowd. Great place and always go there when I can. They open at 630am so I can't go there for my weekday breakfast run any more, otherwise I'd give it the 5 stars all the way.

Waited here for 45MINUTES!!!!! We were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. Ok no problem. 45 minutes later we finally received our 2 breakfast sandwiches only to get home and have the totally wrong order. Will never go back. I really hope kettle bagel opens again soon. So there is somewhere in califon that can make breakfast.

They have Deli fare: eg cold drinks, sandwiches made to order, cookies muffins, snacks and the like . There's a small seating area on the front porch, and small tables inside.

I really enjoy eating here and it is a favorite among locals. The owners Bill and Cindy are wonderful. My usual is egg sandwich for breakfast and tuna for lunch.

Bill is just the best, tell him what you want and he pretty much will work with you and cook up something you'll love even if whatever you wanted in the first place is in the menu. This joint is a gem.
