I give the store a 10 out of 10 because I really love the worker Christine she help me so much with all the questions I have for my betta fish and snail. She’s very helpful but the thing with the store the only problem it’s smell which is a smell which is that it is a pet store so of course it will smell like that but other than that the store cashier Christine is very friendly like and helpful when I had questions for my beautiful so I recommend you guys come in here if you have any questions about Betta fish and I live near this location.

I enjoy this little shop. The lady ( might be the owner) that always helps me is so nice. She is also a savage when it comes to handling crickets. Lol. I have read some of these reviews and I have to say that while pet store can get smelly or grimy this one doesn't really smell. It's an older building older shop Vibes but they clearly are always walking around cleaning up the cages and such. They have let me handle the animals and have ALWAYS been so kind to me. The ONLY thing that bums me out is the price for horn worms Is outrageous! It may be normal! I'm not sure. Just seems crazy to me. I will continue to give me business to this cool little shop.

I'm actually really upset with my review. This was always a clean well kept store. Today..... I'm extremely disappointed. We were met with about 20 flies as soon as we opened the door. The smell of ammonia was so strong, my 5yo needed her inhaler when we came out. Idk what's going on over there but THIS is not the PP3 we know. This is Trenton level now.

The only reason I go to this store is because they carry two products I can’t find anywhere else in the area. I hate giving them any money. The owner is completely insufferable. One of those people who offers you advice you don’t want or need, and has no idea what she’s talking about. And it feels like she’s always talking down to you, in an extremely judgemental way. I had my toddler in the store one time and he was excitedly looking at the animals. He was pointing to one of them talking to me, and admittedly his hand was a little close to the cage. She quickly told me to get his hand out of the cage because the animal might bite. Then went on and on about how animals bite and little kids need to be watched like I had absolutely no protective instincts and I wasn’t hovering over him ready to grab him if he got too close. It just really rubbed me the wrong way, like she was accusing me of being an inattentive parent. I self identify as a helicopter mom. Another time she explained to me that they always feel their customers out before they allow anyone to purchase an animal from their store to make sure “they’re going to good homes”. They absolutely do not. I have purchased a few and I wasn’t asked any questions other than “cash or credit?”.

The lady maybe the owner, was very helpful and showed us around the whole store, they had very good prices and a good selection of pets, the store felt very old school but in a very good way and everything g was well explained, if I was going to get a pet I would go here because of the personal customer service.

I bought a guinea pig at this pet store in 2020 he is doing great now. The only thing is when I got him he had bugs on him. The pet store recommended using this spray and it worked. I go here every other week to buy my guinea pig food and there employees are amazing they have different varieties of food. I recommend going to this pet store in New Jersey.

Not the cheapest pet shop but the owner is kind and the animals are very well taken care of. They have great food for reptiles too, from crickets and dubia roaches to feeder mice.

I've worked here for eight months now and I cannot believe the stupidity I'm reading in the reviews. First of all, no one here will give you an attitude even if you deserve it. Patience and understanding is used in every interaction. Secondly, if you bought a fish or other animal from the store and did not try to reach out to Christine (the manager), and instead ran to post a crappy Google review, maybe you're hiding something and it's your fault... just saying. Bedding, food, and water is all changed daily for the small animals. Fish systems get weekly water tests and the employees do their best to keep the tanks looking nice and presentable. When I walked in there the first time I was overwhelmed with a sense of hospitality and love for the animals, which compelled me to apply. I'm moving on now, but I am so grateful for the opportunity provided to me by Christine these past few months. Thanks, Chris, and thank you, Precious Pets, for making an impact on my life.

The place is gross. Their pets do not seem healthy their pet rats looked so bad it’s not funny. It had a very very bad smell to it. It was a very unwelcoming vibe to it. I wouldn’t recommend it. Their fish had a lot of dead ones in the tanks the fish tanks were barely clean it was so loud in there.

There is an extremely overweight breaded dragon there and when I confronted the person in the store about it they tried justifying his weight by saying he is 13 and needed bigger portions !! The mice look very unhealthy and mass produce and you can tell the babies don’t last cause the momma probably eats them with fear. It smells quite bad in there. The animals cages are dirty and food is just left around rotting. The animals aren’t even handled or socialized daily it’s so obviously sketchy. The only reason I’m giving 2 reviews is because the fish didn’t seem to be in the worse shape. Really disappointing.

This place is the worse. Bought fish on Sunday 3/13/16. As of today, most are dead. No wonder they were 50% off. We were told we could return any dead fish up to two weeks by the employee that day. Now the owner, Christine says she will only replace fish within 24 hours. Wow! Really?

I worked at Precious Pets for about five months, and it was a great place to work and buy from. Christine is by far the most knowledgeable owner of a pet store that I’ve met before. She ran a tight ship, made sure we kept the store clean and the animals were healthy and taken care of. I saw complaints about “cats with eye sores” in another review. More than likely, that’s a cat up for adoption from ... I believe it was the Burlington County Animal Association. Christine and her employees would never deliberately neglect ANY animal ever.

I have been going to Precious Pets for years for cat, gecko and turtle supplies. I have never had a bad experience with the staff or owner or have ever had any issue with any of the products. Additionally, I adopted 2 of my cats from them and they were well cared for and have been wonderful companions.Its a privately owned business, so if you want Petsmart corporate pet plaza, go there, I choose to support local businesses whenever possible.

It would get this place with 3.5 stars if I could. This place is everything you would expect from your neighborhood pet store. They don't have a big selection but have the necessities. Did not check the prices on the products yet but the fish I bought was 2 times more than at PetSmart. The person that helped me I believe his name was Connor was super helpful spend a lot of time explaining things to me and talking to me... Especially with my rowdy son. Just for that fact I will make this place my new pet store.By the way I read some comments about this place really smelling it just smells like somebody's house who has animals but keep them clean kind of that wood chips smell. (It's a pet store people! Lol)

I wouldn't say they have a large selection but that being said. They do carry things that I particularly need which is horned worms, really big super worms, and Dubai roaches for my bearded dragon! The woman that usually is there whenever I go is always nice to me.

I've been dealing with precious pet in Burlington route #130 for over 15 years now. Buying fish for my 90 gallon fish tank and cat food for my cat. When you have a small pet store you're going to have a smell, It's to be expected. There has been many employees who came and gone but most were pleasant. so if anyone have any problems or complaints about this particular store rest to shore that It's not always that way. If there's something in the store that you're interested in and they don't have it they will find It. They been around for a long time for a reason.

My grandmother and i came here in January to get myself a fish, and the employee who was working was very nice and made the place seem very homey. I'm planning on going there to get my next pet. My betta who was bought jan 21, 2018 is still alive and very healthy.

Chris you and your employees are the best. Always friendly & will take the time to help you and talk to you. As far as the kitten with the bummed eye is because he was born that way. We adopted him (Mittens) and gave him the name Odin. He is such a lover & super playful. Thank agian to all the ladies at Precious Pets.
