UPDATED AND RAISED STARS BECAUSE THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE CAKE IN THE BAKERY!! See photo!Staff is friendly and helpful, shelves are usually pretty well stocked but the gluten free items sell out fast which is not their fault. HOWEVER their prices are completely ridiculous. I think they are taking advantage of being the only store in the area that people can shop at so things are marked up ridiculously high. I believe that's called a monopoly. You actually will save a lot more money using instacart to shop at any other store but this one. And still have money for a decent tip for the shoppers. Not sure how this store is allowed to get away with this and I feel sorry for the people who have no other options. The "reward and discount program" doesn't even bring prices to a reasonable comparison. I don't understand how this is even legal. Not to mention many people probably don't have phones much less the wherewithal to operate the app, coupons, etc.

5 stars only for the bakery! Patty and whoever else there does the decorating currently are great! My daughter's puppy cake and cupcakes were so stinkin cute and yummy! Awesome bakery

I don't know her name but she is one of the nicest woman and she works the deli. Always has a smile on her face. I only shop at this store on my way back from Columbus farmers market. She is a big asset.

It's really bad here, the only reason you should be in here is if you need a couple of specific items and that's it. Prices are 1.25-2X what the rest of the stores are, so sometimes double what the already inflated prices are at regular grocery stores. You have to check items closely for expiration because nobody buys items that don't go on sale and they just rot on the shelf. I've never had an issue with the actual employees but the business is basically a scam because they are the only large grocer in town. Maybe they stay in business off of NJ EBT and small shoppers exclusively, it's weird though how they can keep their prices so high and continue to do business. Go to Aldi about 20 minutes away or even Walmart unless you just need those 1-2 things.

Why do I drive 10 minutes away to my house, and STILL smell like this stanky store. If this were a perfume (au du toilette) review I’d say: for a solid 20 minutes acme parfume promises guarantee that your special someone will know what you’re wearing. Even after cooking your food on the grill… the essence of acme lingers long on.In my opinion they’re a bit overpriced. Surprisingly, the quality brands of shampoos and such were significantly less expensive than cvs or Walmart. I can’t ever find anything in this particular location either. Not to mention they’re 92% of the time outta my stuff. 2 stars cos the employees are good sports about it.

Pretty good sales. Meat 4 packs mix and match for 19.99. A couple good deals in clearance section big containers of organic jasmine rice and basmati 12.50 marked down to $2. It was my first time shopping there and overall it was nice variety of products and discounts.

I’ll drive hours before I give this dump with overpriced, expired food, and rotting produce a dollar! I feel for those that live local and don’t drive that have no choice but to shop here. Bakery is prob the only thing that keeps a pulse in this place.

This review is for the bakery they did an amazing job on my daughter's birthday cake they went above and beyond what we were expecting my 5 year old was thrilled! It was so beautiful and I highly recommend to anyone in the area to have your cakes done here I've gotten a few cakes from them and they were all great! Thank you so much to who ever made the rainbow barbie cake!

In this day and age ACME should always have Italian TURKEY sausage!!! Not everyone eats pork😕this is not new! Help those trying to eat better! Shady Brook ground Turkey is not enough. Provide non pork options!!!!!!!!!!

This Acme is a pretty decent place and is definitely quite convenient if you live in Browns Mills, Pemberton, or even if you live on JBMDL. It's obviously an older location, but they usually have a really good selection of produce as well as everything else.

Over the time I've lived in the area I've really come to like Acme. The trick here is to shop the sales and do it well. Sales prices keep it competitive with other grocery stores, as some other items' base costs can be more than the competition.I've found the best deals for my routine shopping to be on meats, which have always been fantastic quality as well. Every time I'm in the store, I stop to check for any sales or manager specials. The 4 for $20 meal deals are perfect for meal prepping and smaller family dinners.I have ordered a custom cake one time and the bakery did a great job with it. It was ready when expected and very cute!Staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

This is my second time at Acme for a considerable amount of items. I want to support my community but Acme is over priced and that forces me to shop outside of Browns Mills. One area that was especially pathetic was the fresh produce section. Most of, if not all the greens were wilted and sitting in filthy holding bins. Get it together Acme I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks you can do better.

This store monopolizes an entire town and doesn't supply adequate food. It's double the price of any other store if you go to a different and everything is expired or rotten. I know it's in New Jersey law not to provide bags, but this has given every employee a reason to be even more lazy. You can have $200 worth of food and you still have to go to the self checkout because the employees are literally standing around customer service talking.This place is horrible and should be ashamed of itself. You are literally poisoning the people on purpose.

I'm giving 5 stars ONLY for the bakery. The chocolate Easter cake I ordered from there was just as delicious as it was pretty. No one could believe it came from the Mills Acme ha... the bakery is so good🌟 really good job 👏

I love this Acme! They carry items that the other supermarkets don’t. I’ve noticed more organic products which is a plus !!🥕🥦 . The employees are super nice and helpful . 🍏🍋

I don't usually go to Acme since it's not the closest grocery store and I like stop & shop, but I was in the area an decided I'd do my shopping there. And I was pleasantly surprised. They had a great selection, a lot of my regular pick ups were on sale, and I even found things I usually don't see at my regular grocer. I most certainly will be going back to do my shopping. 😊

Good prices... excellent food. I bought the best coconut oil that I have found anywhere... both unrefined and cold-pressed, organic virgin, and USDA organic... product of Sri Lanka... which was a rare find. They also had all the usual in abundance.

The only reasons I keep shopping here:1. It's close to home for my emergency grocery needs.2. Most of the employees make this store bearable.3. The rewards are useful. Especially because I spend enough each trip to earn more.Reasons I dislike shopping here:1. The store literally stinks. Always.2. The prices are absolutely ridiculous, what a monopoly for a small town with low income residents.3. The quality for the price is not equal. Dropping $6 on a box of strawberries that mold a day or two later is not ok.

It's getting better since it was acquired by a new company. It's the only grocery store for 20 miles so they were able to get away with a lot more than they would have with a closer competitor. I'm optimistic. 👍

It's the only supermarket in town, and being it's basically a monopoly locally, their prices are way over the top ridiculously high. I have found that by downloading the Acme app, I'm able to save some money and eventually build points for rewards which range from free cans of specific vegetables to packages of cheese, case of water to a whole rotisserie chicken, and much more. I am actually in love with the 4 for $19.99 deal in the meats department. Granted it's usually the same products eligible for the discount, it's a fairly generous variety. I wouldn't advise using the restroom as it seems to always be quite unsanitary and I'll just leave it at that. If u don't mind spending your hard earned money much faster than what should be allowed, this is your one stop shop... Otherwise I'd go to either Aldi's in Lumberton on Rt 38 E or Stop n Shop in Whiting at the beginning of Lacey Rd right off Rt 70 E.

There is nothing there that is offered through either my rewards or digital coupons...this location goes several days without stocking items needed! Sorry to say but upper management needs an attitude adjustment!! But a few of your cashiers make my visit Pleasurable, most especially Alyse, young Afro-American lady whom I believe deserves Employee of the year; She's so kind, always a smile when greeting us, and very helpful in many ways (one being adding my health app just recently)...LAST BUT NOT LEAST; People working in the PHARMACY, KELLY (Pharmacist) just to mention one, are most caring, helpful to the point go out of their way to make sure my prescriptions filled accordingly ; if there's a problem with a backorder situation they advise me what to do...Very Grateful for them...If it weren't for the few caring employees I mentioned, I'd be going to SHOPRITE! Sad to say is where I end up going anyway to complete my shopping list. Thank You for taking the time to read this if you did! Sincerely, Donna Pullen

It works in a pinch but wouldn't be my first pick for grocery shopping. The aisles are close together and the tight proximity is only exasperated by boxes and more lining the floor of the store. The pickings are pretty varied, if they're in stock. The best parts are the employees are generally helpful and the checkout is normally robust enough for quick checkouts. Well they were for me but I only had a few items.

The employees are always very helpful and friendly. The produce is always well stocked and fresh. My only real complaint is the pricing, it's clear they're the only store in town and don't need to be competitive with their prices. (This was the case even before supply chain issues)

Good enough place. Good variety. But it seems that whoever scans in the item codes to code in whatever is on sale isn't always paying attention. I've tried purchasing sale items multiple times and had them ring up normal price and cause issues as a result. It's not the fault of the register people, but they have to fix it and it's not fair for all involved.

Seems every time I finally figure out wheres what in the store they up and change it around again.Employee that ran the self check out lanes was very good, polite, helpful overall pleasure.Another employee helped me with a price check on a cane I purchased she was very polite, helpful very kind. Overall pleasure. Worked out the situation with great stride.
