This place is always great. We're locals, and they have such a great selection. I usually go there for baked goods or bagels. They also have all these different candies that I like to buy around Christmas time for stocking stuffers. I actually explored and looked around the entire store today. They've got a lot of stuff for a small space. It's a really great tourist place to get souvenirs. They sell mugs, magnets, stickers, special maple syrups, specialty teas, and a bunch more. So definitely stop by. It's a really cute store!Parking: Two ways in and out of the lot which makes things easier

Hainesville General Store is a small, unassuming store located in Branchville, New Jersey.Once you step inside though, you'll be surprised at how cute and charming the store is!The selection of food and products is excellent, especially the sandwiches and baked goods. They also sell a variety of local food and products.I visited this place on a recent trip to the Delaware Water Gap. I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of food and the friendly service. I ordered a slice of peach pie, which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The pie was fresh, had the perfect amount of sugar, and was just the right size for a snack!I also tried a few of the other baked goods, including the breads and cakes. Everything I tried was delicious and tasted fresh!Their service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were happy to make recommendations!If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting Hainesville General Store! It's a great place to grab a bite to eat, pick up some souvenirs, or just browse the selection of local food and products!

My mother and I just got home and we’re blown away by the summer berry pie and the assortment of amazing cookies. The pie to start off was the best desert EVER !! cookies were packed with Reese’s peanut butter cups s’mores Red Velvet, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip mint. And a bunch more. I would highly recommend going there and meeting the wonderful couple that owns the place. Get some amazing food and a good laugh with some nice people.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to montague in 2016. Hainesville General Store has one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Sussex county. As well as other really great hot food. And they also make delicious state fair winning pies. 10/10 recommend.

Pretty cool local store with fantastic breakfast selection!! Had been working in the area all week and drove past this place every day and told myself on my last day working up here I’m stopping to get breakfast and I finally did today got a bacon and American omelette and it was great!

We lived in the area for years before stopping and trying the general store. Wish we had stopped sooner. The breakfast sandwiches were so good every time! The raspberry shortbread cookies are especially phenomenal! Everyone who worked here are so sweet and welcoming too

Love this place...bought sweets and treats today at the bakery but I forgot my bear mug. Must buy a bear mug. I did buy chocolate covered gummy bears...I think they are my new addiction..lolThen I drove over to the deli and bought an awesome sloppy Joe sandwich and some fresh macaroni salad.Hainsville General store has the best deli sandwiches in this area!!!!And for dessert a beautifully decorated piece of carrot cake.To everyone at the Hainsville General StoreWishing all of you the very best for a fantastic New Year❤️🎉❤️

We decided to take an hour and a 1/2 ride on a beautiful day and let me tell you the ride was so well worth it the food was amazing the atmosphere takes you back to the 1800s nice and quiet across the bridge to Milford PA and have a great day thank me later for finding this lunch spot.

The best deli around and bakery. they serve you with a smile and say good morning .they care about what you think And take pride in serving you a wonderful meal. there breakfast bowls are just amazing and I strongly recommend you buy a cherry pie it is unbelievably delicious. they use nothing but top quality meats boars head only and make their own salads. If you need a little gift or you're thinking of somebody you can always find something unique. I would recommend you make this a destination if you're traveling or if you are local

I've heard so much about this place and I was happy to finally visit and pick up a delicious apple pie. I was passing through and decided to see if their apple pie was as an article I read, "one of the best pies in NJ." What a heavy, dense pie, well worth the price. The pie crust and crumble on top were excellent!! The article was right and I would definitely place this pie on top of the list of pies I've tried throughout the Garden State. The shop was immaculate, with lots of interesting items, like coffee flavored maple syrup, of time candy, pies, cookies, bagels, huge brownies, etc. The deli looked impressive, but it was too early for a sandwich during my visit. Outside seating on the deck and lots of picnic table seating on the grass. Highly recommended!

Super cute shop with baked goods, coffee, candy, food, gifts, and basically general store stuff. The service was very fast and friendly. Had an iced coffee with almond milk and a snickerdoodle (soft and delish). My friend had a pumpkin chai latte and smores cookie which was thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and might come back to try the pie which looked amazing!Parking: Small lot in front of store

First time coming here. This place was adorable and had such a big selection! I had a breakfast sandwich and one of their delicious homemade cookies. The pies looked so good and I am not even a fan of pie. The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. We will most definitely be back!

What a great place, we visited this awesome place for breakfast sandwiches and they were very good. While we were there I picked up an apple pie and it was probably the best pie I've ever had, now I understand why they won several awards for the pies.The owners were very nice and extremely friendly!!

Been coming here for the better part of 20 years and I was sad to see the prior owners leave. But I was pleasantly pleased that the new owners have kept the traditions alive while introducing some new age touches. Same great food plus future items. I highly recommend you stop in and enjoy their wares. Apple turnovers are outstanding!! Goodluck to you Paul and I wish you great success!!

Well my review is not complete yet. I haven't tried the pies. We went for lunch and the pies. Drove one and a half hours. Well we both ordered the Italian hot dog. Ketchup should never be put on a hot dog never mind an Italian hot dog. Just threw the whole thing off. Needed salt and pepper as did the onion rings. The onion rings were perfectly cooked. Bought some bagels for the next days breakfast and they didn't disappoint. Potato, macaroni salad and coleslaw are not homemade. Very disappointed. Didn't know that the only seating was outside. As it was raining and cold we ate in the car since it was an hour and half ride home. Everyone there was very nice. I will update on the pies.Parking: Plenty of parking

Love this place! Friendly staff and great sandwiches! My personal favorite is their BLT, the freshest lettuce and tomatoes, tasty bacon and the freshest bread! I’ve eaten the sandwiches at eleven different restaurants nearby, and they don’t come close to Hainesville General Store. The baked goods are amazing here too! My personal favorite is their Apple Fritter bread. Lucky they are less than 5 minutes from home! Thanks guys, you’re all the best!

Wow. Just wow. I believe the people who look at price when it comes to local business should be ashamed of themselves. Costs have gone up so much. As a small business owner I feel consumers need to have better understanding of cost to do business. I personally don't believe I overpaid for anything. Considering the sandwich I had (chicken blt with boom boom sauce) was one of the best I've ever eaten. And the blueberry crumb cake will have me back there multiple times for more. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Keep up the amazing work. You've earned a life long customer.

Since the new owners they've made positive changes in the business. Sandwiches are fresh, tasteful. The pies are award winning again. Purchased the cottage pie to take home. Excellent!Parking: Lots of parking. Outside tables too

What a hidden gem 💎 in the still beauty of Sandyston. I was on a drive out to the waterfall over the border in PA and saw they were open so I stop. WOW! Was I surprised by how beautiful the store has been restored carrying a gourmet menu and my favorite brands of tea and maple syrup that I find at Whole Foods. The selection of gourmet goods making my heart sing as I sip on my Tea Pigs Chi Tea! They bake an assortment of homemade baked goods and I was offer a selection of breads for my sandwich which was delicious! For a local girl coming back home you touched my Soul with high high standard of LOVE that you created in the store. It’s beautiful! It’s country for this country girl that would have her move back just up on the road on Volker lane knowing I could get tea and delicious homemade food just done the road with such LOVE and community. Let this be the standard the area rises to with local! Much love to you for following the vision in your hearts with the store💚✨

Best pies I know of...I drive 40 miles for them...we'll, sorry to be back but they've been sold. Everything changed. Don't know now about my favorite pies any longer as whenever I've headed there they were closed. Also, looking in the windows, it's completely changed and has lost its old "general store" appeal. "Progress" has ruined this YEARS long favorite. Maybe for you, but not for me. It's charm was part of the appeal.
