I have been to most every vet in the area and found Dr. Sherri L. Talbot-Valerio to be the very best on so many levels. First, she's extremely personable and bubbly... Then she is very honest and forthcoming about your pets situation and options available.The entire staff is just lovely, friendly and down to earth...and lastly - they are very, very reasonable and affordable!I've been going to her now for nearly five years...I just wish I had found her sooner!!!

The Branchville Country Vet staff quickly became an extension of our Golden family. In seeking a new veterinarian we were anxious after so many years of searching for the best partner for our multi pet household - Dr Sherri snd Dr Nori along with the entire staff helped us adjust to the practice immediately. Their compassion and care of our fur babies is the best experience we have ever had. During the last 6 months they together with us developed a care plan for our aging Bentley and when the time came for difficult decisions- they were there to educate, guide, comfort and celebrate Bentley’s life with us. It created a peacefulness needed at such a difficult time. We couldn’t more highly recommend this professional team and practice!

Absolutely love them!! So good with my 70 lb baby who does not play well with others. They go out of their way to work around that issue.Also I really don't like having to give her all those shots that are required for Kennel stay, they work with me on that as well, I can spread them out over several weeks.They will even come outside to give her the shot so we don't have to even go inside!!❣

My husband John and I are so fortunate to have found Branchville Country Vet! Thank you Dr T-V, Jackie and Daisy's Vet Tech (I forgot her name - so sorry) for all of your help in a time of desperate need for our parakeet Daisy! We were treated with true kindness, caring and professionalism from our first phone call to our appointment and after. Thank you Jackie for understanding my fears and keeping me calm, your compassion for Daisy and us was beyond beautiful! Dr. T-V was excellent in every way to Daisy and to us! Such a knowledgeable and talented Dr.! Nothing worse then a frantic Mom like me! She also understood Daisy's stress levels and knew her little limits...her concern for Daisy came first before anything! They are the BEST ! My dog had diarrhea after getting his shots required for him to have. They called everyday to check in on him and see how he was. I appreciate the whole staff. I was taking him to the vet in Franklin Not very impressed since the original owner passed away. I would say bring your animal to Branchville Vet !

I traveled about an hour and a half to Branchville Country Vet Clinic. My rabbit had developed an issue with her ear and I couldn't find a vet near me (Hudson County) that treated rabbits or would accept a new patient to be seen right away.The staff here went above and beyond for us. The got me an appointment for the following day so my rabbit could be treated accordingly.When we arrived I called from the parking lot to check in and they came out to pick up my rabbit before our scheduled appointment. We waited in the parking lot while they assessed and treated her. Dr. Monique came out with our precious bun and the treatment plan. She explained everything and answered all of our questions.I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a compassionate, accommodating vet for their fur babies!

How absolutely absurd is it that a practice who cares for animals wold turn down new patient appointments. Even when referred by a veterinarian from another practice! No one understands when a practice gets busy but when your called for an emergency and it means potentially life or death for an animal you should make an accommodation! Stay away from this uncaring practice.

Friendly staff and excellent service. We had to take our dog in as a semi-emergency when she ripped her nail from her paw and they took us right away on a Saturday morning. We are from out of town and they provided care as if we were regular clients.

WORST experience with this vet. A month ago I brought my two dogs here to update their vaccines. They received exams along with vaccines and I was told that they would require two sets of boosters, which I would bring them back for in two weeks and in another two weeks. While making the appointments, I was told that the appointments for the boosters would be quick (as I have an impatient toddler) since they would only be seen by the nurse. So I then prepaid for the boosters and left with an almost $400 bill - fine. I return in the next two weeks and the dogs get the next set of boosters and pay no charges. Today, my husband returned for their final set of boosters and brings out a receipt for nearly $450. Mind you- I thought they were simply getting the rest of their pre-paid boosters. I bring the bill inside and ask for it to be explained - to which a very rude older blonde woman clearly was irritated by. After questioning the charges, she simply states, "well don't you want your dogs to be cared for?" At that point, the vet that saw my dogs comes out and explains the bill. Turns out that the boosters were not pre-paid, so I paid for the boosters AND an additional 3rd set of boosters that I was not told would be needed. I was then charged AGAIN for exams for both dogs that were given exams four weeks ago. On top of that, I was charged for an exam of one of the dogs ears. What I THOUGHT was going to be an easy appointment for a set of boosters turned into a $420 bill. I feel completely blind sided and ripped off. Not only was I never informed what half the charges would be but the way I was treated by the staff was extremely disheartening. I will be returning to my other vet which we left since we moved and thought this would be closer.

Excellent care. Conservative treatment, which is what I want. Bills are not through the roof, which is appreciated. Guidance in caring for our pets is clear. Very happy that someone recommended Branchville Country Vet to us.

My family has used this vet and recommend them to me and my pets are considered exotics so the past few times I brought them there and found I’m waiting later and later to be seen by Dr. Talbot-Valerio today I waited a half hour and did ask at the half hour mark if I’d be seen soon fast forward 10 mins and the lady never came back so I just left. Some of what they have said in the past as well was questionable too so I’ll be going to a different local vet. Very disappointed and sounds like Dr. Talbot-Valerio could really care less about losing a customer.

We have had pets all our lives, and we have been involved in the pet care business for a number of years. We are experienced in pet care and have dealt with many pet illnesses and emergencies. For many years, we used a vet in Bergen County, even after we moved up here to Sussex County, because we loved the care we received, and the vet in charge of the practice was able to diagnose illnesses in our pets that other vets were unable to diagnose. In addition, she had a wonderful bedside manner, and cared about her human clients in addition to her animal clients. However, she died suddenly a couple of years ago, and although we loved the other vets in her practice it just wasn't the same. Then Dr. Talbot-Valerio opened her practice in Branchville. We now feel that we have finally found a vet up here that we like personally, and we also feel she is as capable of caring for our animals as our beloved vet in Bergen County. Thank you Dr. Talbot-Valerio!
