From colonia to manville. This is been the best dollar general I've been to. Neat. Clean. Well lit. The manager and staff has had the most patience with me. I don't typically do reviews but there was so much slander by previous reviews. I don't think the people I have met there deserve any less than 5 stars.

Cant ask employees for help to find superglue because he wasnt sure if they have it… and I could not ask lady for help who seemed to be the manager because she was on the phone ranting gotta love customer service

Good inventory for sure but the smell in that store is awful…. We left as we couldn’t tolerate it for more than 5 minutes. Smells like something went real bad or spoiled in there

Decent selections, good prices.Stock runs out often though.Went there many times including just yesterday 10/04/2023 and they were stocked up on milk and lots of other things but they were out of chicken Ramon noodle soup again, had beef only.

Poorly managed and definitely needs more staff Have been to the store on Union Ave Bound Brook and the clerks are always on their cell phones. It’s rude to sit and make customers wait until they are done with their texting. I waited 12 minutes in line and the so called “Manager” (woman) looked at me and walked passed never asked i if I needed help. After 12 minutes of waiting with a line forming behind me, I had to walk to the back to ask for help.

Worst customer service - I purchased balloons for my son’s bday and the string in one of them is wayyy toooo short. I cannot tie it to my door and still floats nicely. When I try to complain they started being rude, they said “I don’t care” “I don’t know what to tell you”. Very unprofessional!

They have a wide selection of items. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The prices are a little higher than average, but you can get everything you need. So it kind of makes it worth it.

The Dollar General that just opened at Union Ave Bound Brook needs to hire a different kind of people, just got out of there the cashier on Saturday May 29 2021 at 3:29 pm was extremely rude, unprofessional on her phone while I was there waiting to be attended and actually got upset because she had to stop Facebooking to help me. Unbelievable and extremely unprofessional....I would rather drive more and go to another general dollar, it’s a shame the owners don’t know this!

Why is it EVERY time I come to this store the cashier is outside on her phone. I stand at the register and have to wait until she is finished with her call and comes back inside to ring me up. Other occasions she's been out there (same girl) with her spouse/significant other arguing. Frustrating.

Kathy is the best manager at dollar general she is really nice to all customers and employees and she is the best person to work with. She knows every language and is good person to work with

Stopped by after the store in Middlesex didn't have the quantity of items I needed. 5:50 pm on a Monday, the store is closed. No sign or explanation. One star is too much for them.
