When I decided to adopt a yellow lab puppy, I promised myself I would put in every effort possible to make sure he has a great life. As a contractor, I am on the road and away from home endless hours, which worried me as I hated the idea of leaving my dog alone for so long.I knew if I wanted to give my boy Fern a great life while also keeping my sanity, I needed to have a trained dog that could adapt to my lifestyle too.I went ahead and invested (because this is an investment end of the day)into training with Sit Means Sit.The results have been truly rewarding in my life and in Fern’s life. I can take Fern with me anywhere and not worry about his behavior and know that he will listen to me in all kinds of situations. From behaving and staying put around construction equipment and cranes at job sites, walking into Home Depot and becoming a minor celebrity with the cashiers, and even taking him to my favorite dog friendly bar on weekends , I truly treat this dog as my best friend and I can truly credit this to Sit Means Sit.Fair warning: You need to be willing to put the time and effort into your dog in order to achieve the results you want. You can’t just drop off your dog in the morning and pick him up at the end of the day and expect to have a brand new behaved dog. You need to realize that your dog is looking to you throughout the weeks/months after training. In another life, Fern would be stuck at home from sun to sun waiting for me to come home and to be taken on a 30 minute walk.In this life, Fern is always busy, always meeting new people and dogs, and overall living the life I wanted to give him.

Amazing program! Worth every penny. Your dog will transform before your eyes when you do the lessons at home as well. Brie is an excellent & patient trainer. Be careful, she loves doodles!! We’re looking forward to group classes next.

I had such a great experience with Sit means sit from the consultation to the last check in.Prior to training Murphy was jumping on people, didn’t know how to sit and relax making it difficult to take him places or have people over.Bree and Allie were amazing with him! They both had so much patience with me during the pick up sessions helping me get comfortable with commands and leash handling.Friends and family are so impressed with how well behaved Murphy is in just 5 weeks! I would recommend to anyone looking for training.

I cannot say enough great things about this dog training company. I had a dog that was very reactive and impulsive to almost everything - cars, trucks, kids and they were able to turn it around so amazingly well. You can tell you are dealing with experienced professionals because my dog is stubborn and was extreme with the reactivity. The trainers were so pleasant and patient and answered every single question I had in such a caring way. They were amazing! What I love most about this program is the approach for working families - I know some training places have you come in for an hour and teach you things to train the dog but that was never enough and it was such a long commitment with no end for me and I never felt like I understood the full picture how one skill builds to another. Having my dog there for a full day allowed him to really train the skills with the pros and then when I picked up, the trainers demonstrated and walked me through it all to reinforce at home. This approach took so much stress off me.Now that we finished the program, I can finally say that I feel at peace with my dog and feel like the whole family can enjoy him more knowing he's trained. It was so scary to do anything with him and now he can go everywhere with us with no worries. I feel like we all benefited in being able to enjoy the dog and the dog can enjoy the amazing life we offer him.Thank you from the bottom of my heart and will refer you to everyone!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Last year we brought our 6 month old puppy over to Sit Means Sit to address some concerns about his interactions with our 3-year-olds. He had gotten very big very fast and that quickly escalated to him overpowering them and knocking them down while playing which led to jumping and he was quickly becoming an avid counter surfer. After our consultation, they recommended their six week package which included six weeks of training (one day a week), FREE weekly follow up classes for TWO YEARS and all of the customer support you'd ever need. There were packages that were more expensive but they only sold me what I needed and to me that speaks volumes about a business. On the first day, we met trainers Bri and Allie and shared our concerns with them. They were very receptive and assured us that they'll not only sort him out, but we would see an improvement on THE FIRST DAY. To our shock, they delivered on that promise and with little exaggeration he was a different dog 🤯. Throughout the next 6 weeks, we learned commands and kept improving every week as my wife and I learned alongside him. They went above and beyond and spent as much time as necessary until I was comfortable. After every session, they blocked off the last portion of the day to spend with the owner. They would recap and train with us on what they did that day and recap on previous weeks skills and once the program was complete, they took those skills and we were given a test to ensure both us and the dog were proficient enough to move on to the follow-up classes. Those follow-up classes are key to ensuring the training is reinforced properly after they graduate. Their process works 👍👍I'll close by saying that these are professionals who care about what they do. They go to great lengths to ensure their dogs are trained to the best of their ability and it shows. They support the military and first responder community and as I mentioned earlier... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am very impressed with Sit Means Sit and would recommend them to anyone who wants to train their dog. I struggled with the cost but feel that it was well worth it. The trainers are very knowledgeable and patient and take the time to explain all the training and why something does or does not work. I would absolutely use them again!

Thank you sooo much Bree and Allie!!! I highly recommend Sit Means Sit. Being that we have a Rottweiler we wanted to find the best program of training for our man and we couldn't be any happier with the results. The cost is well worth it!

Our Rusty is an anxious, protective dog who has nipped several people. The fearless staff at Sit Means Sit took the time to understand him, and then help us to understand him. He now relies on us to be in charge of his environment and guests in our home. Trainers Bri and Ally are kind, thoughtful and firm. We especially appreciate the program of private, daylong fundamentals training, followed by a lesson for us in how to reinforce what Rusty learned that day. The next 6 months of group classes are especially impactful to keep Rusty learning and to see other dogs who are further along in their Sit Means Sit training. Highly recommend.

We’re so lucky to have found sit means sit! My dog didn’t have the easiest start to her life and just didn’t know what to do with all her love and energy. This program not only gives the dog skills it needs but gives the owner skills and confidence. I noticed such a difference in my dog in just 5 weeks, as did my friends and family. Bre & Allie were so great every step of the way really helping me be a confident owner and I’m so grateful for their guidance!

Sit means sit completely changed the relationship I have with my dog. When we first came to sit means sit for the free consultation, we had only had Rocky for about a month and he came from the rescue with a few behavioral issues that were not disclosed to us at the time of his adoption. He had very bad resource guarding issues that made him a bite risk especially around food to the point where his last family gave him up for biting a child. He had also had some issues being around select other dogs and actually had an altercation with another dog in which I got very injured. We were at the point of strongly considering sending him back to the rescue. Sit means sit taught us how to manage those undesirable behaviors and turned him into a more trustworthy and functional member of our family. We will forever be grateful to sit means sit for giving us the tools and guidance to be able to successfully integrate rocky into our family which already included one other dog and three cats. We’re so happy to be able to have him in our home and that’s thanks to the sit means sit program and all of the wonderful staff members who gave Rocky and me the tools to succeed. You can definitely tell that all of the staff is both very knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs. Rocky and I will forever be grateful for all of their hard work.

I HIGHLY recommend them! We have an Australian Shepherd who is extremely high strung to the point he couldn't even sit still despite playing outside for hours at a time. We felt so helpless because despite raising animals and dogs for years we have never had a dog like him before. He is like a completely different dog after his training here. He is so much less anxious and we can all enjoy our time together as a family now. I think their mindset of wanting your dogs to still keep their personalities is wonderful too. It's much more than just "training" classes, you learn to communicate and work with your dog. Everyone who works here is so nice and accommodating too! Our dog absolutely LOVED Kim to the point of not caring when we were there to pick him up. Your dog will be in a very caring hands! They take a lot of safety precautions and are very thorough with making sure you understand how to do everything at home. They offer a lot of support and make sure you do your due diligence of training at home too. It was definitely worth the money and we can't wait to enroll our other dog in their program! I also suggest that if you're hesitant about e-collars to do your research on them. The first thing I did was try the collar on my hand at home on all of the levels and it doesn't hurt. Its similar to the sensation when you get electric physical therapy done. Another thing I really want to mention is that they don't focus on "corrections"! The collar is not supposed to be used for discipline or to correct their behaviors just to communicate with them and give them commands. Other places we've tried only gives you training that can be used in a controlled environment. The training that you leave here with gives you lifetime skills that allow your dog to behave in any and every situation! They really change your whole mindset on dog training. We are just so happy and relieved to have found them!

I highly recommend Sit Means Sit in Bordentown, NJ. The trainers Dom and Allie did an amazing job with our boy Bruno who we rescued at two years old. His training consisted of a full day (7) hours with the trainers then the last hour of them showing me what they taught him and how to give the commands. You then take this new knowledge home with you to practice for the week until his next training session, five in total. After all of the training is completed the trainers then evaluate your handling of your dog and if cleared you can then attend group training sessions for two years which is included in the initial fee. Allie & Dom not only made a very high energy dog completely controllable, they ensured that we completely understood the methods to achieve the desired results. A 5 star training program.

We had great experience with Sit Means Sit. This was our fourth golden retriever but he was more of a working vs companion dog; and we needed some help. Ray, Brei and Allie helped provide a training foundation for Bentley and taught us how to continue training. We're looking forward to group lessons. Thanks!

Sit Means Sit is absolutely excellent. We sent Biscuit for the 12- day Board and Train program they have to offer and we saw such difference in him. He has always been a dog with lots of personality and excitement and we were super afraid of him losing that charming personality of his, but he is the exact same dog as before and HE'S TRAINED! This program is where the dog is trained completely on his own and you have to take classes and basically train yourself and everyone here does a great job helping and giving instructions. We worked with Allie and Breanna and both were super sweet and attentive to Biscuit. Everyone here is SUPER friendly, helpful and also accommodating. There were a few trainings we were either late to or had to reschedule and they were so nice about it and helped us reschedule immediately. Additionally, we are able to join group classes with Biscuit so we can learn how to better socialize our dogs too. Highly recommend.

We decided to enroll Claire in training at Sit Means Sit Dog Training because she was constantly jumping on people when they came in the door, pulling on clothes and shoes and didn't listen when we told her to stop. She also would steal our other dogs toys and jump over the fence. She is a very sweet dog just very hyper and excited. I am pregnant so we decided now would be a good time for her to get some training. The reason we picked Sit Means Sit is because I saw them at the pet expo in Edison, NJ and had a free consultation. It was impressive the way the dog in the demo behaved. But what I liked the most is he still had his own personality. Claire is a goofy dog and I love that about her and didn't want that to change. We decided to go with the platinum 5 week program. We would drop her off each Saturday at 8:30am and pick her up at 3pm. We would spend about 15 minutes or so learninf the commands that she learned that say. I was amazed how just after 1 day I saw a difference. Now that she has completed her training I can see a big difference. She doesn't jump when people come over and she listens when we tell her to do something. This was actually a huge learning experience for us as pet parents too and will continue to be as we keep up with the training at home. Overall, I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit Dog training to everyone. All of the trainers there are so nice and really care about your dog. We are excited to do the group classes that are included with the program.

Our rescue pup Buzz had spent a year on the streets as a stray, and needed to learn some manners and to listen to commands. Our walks were filled with pulling, barking, and even some aggression. From our first consultation with Ray and the classes with Bre and Allie, Buzz has become a calmer, attentive and obedient dog. We noticed a difference after the first class. He listens to commands and our walks are a pleasure! No more pulling, or barking. I can’t say enough good things about Bre and Allie. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for any of your furry friends!

I don't think we can say enough amazing and wonderful things about Sit Means Sit. My husband and I were very overwhelmed with a new puppy and had no idea where to begin with training him & with a baby on the way I was very nervous how would handle both. From the moment we spoke to Ray and saw a demonstration from him with his dogs I knew we had to take our dog there.Koda (our dog) started off with puppy training which already helped tremendously then when he was old enough, got to start the main training classes.Dropping your new dog off somewhere without you is super scary and I was nervous how he would do, but the second you walk in the staff greets you and gets so excited to see your pup! They do a quick wellness check on them to make sure they are in the same condition when they leave at the end of the day as they came in. After just the 1st training session, he was a completely different pup (in the best way possible!) He was so calm but excited when we came to pick him up that I was completely blown away, surprised and very excited for the rest to come :DKoda gets SO excited and loves going there for training! We mainly worked with Allie & Breyonna and Tara who greets us in the lobby basically feel like close friends at this point; they are honestly the sweetest and most caring people who absolutely will love and care for your dog like they are their own dogs. Now that Koda has completed training he is soooo much better from where we started, having the tools to continue to help him grow/getting to take him to group classes, I'm exciting to see how much more he will learn from where he is already. We are beyond thankful for them, I will forever tell everyone and anyone who will listen about Sit Means Sit! Honestly, they are hands down the best place you can take your pup! Thank you so much to everyone there!!!

We took our 4 year old lab Buster to Sit means Sit for some manners! He was a great dog but needed some manners when he was out and about! Our goal was to be able to bring Buster out with us to be part of our family! Buster started as a board and train client and we as a family had follow up sessions with the staff to learn all the commands! We can’t be happier with how well Buster has responded to the training and all the lessons! The staff is so knowledgeable and willing to share all their experience they have with dogs with their clients! Super clean facility as well. Highly recommend to anyone with a puppy or even an older dog that needs some guidance! Thank you Sit means sit staff for helping have Buster a more well behaved pup!

I adopted Rosy, a small pit bull, and we were struggling with some issues. She distrusts new people and it comes out as aggression. After our training, mine more than hers, she is truly becoming the great dog I knew she could be. Thank you to Kim, Dom, and Morgan for loving Rosy and being patient with me. People who know her are just amazed by the transformation! Kudos to Sit Means Sit 🙂❤️

Luna may not look thrilled 😅 but Kim and the entire team at Sit Means Sit did a phenomenal job working with her week after week. She went from an energetic and chaotic puppy to the perfect balance of energy and calm for our boys. We have loved every moment of our experience so far and what it has done for Luna and our family!

The time we spent training with Salvatore and Kimberly to train our dog Ellie was time very well spent! Although we had some other trainers as well, these two were especially kind, patient, and very good teachers. The hardest part about this type of training is teaching YOURSELF not the dog. Ellie picked up on everything right away, us... it took some work but just a month later and she went from pure rocket fuel to a sweet, attentive, eager dog.The collar was worth every single penny. and it was never more obvious than the first time we took Ellie to an off leash dog park and she passed with flying stars. Came back to us, sit, stayed and never ran away all because of the Ecollar. amazing. shes only 8 months old and fully trained.

Entire program is based around the use of an e-collar, does not really teach owner or dog actual training skills or strategy beyond shocking the dog if they don’t do what you want. Owner/operator came across to me as over aggressive and non-empathetic towards my dog. Entire point was to rush you through to their “graduation“. Again, no actual training skills taught to owner or dog beyond the use of the collar. I would not bring my animal here.

The entire team, Ray, Tara, Allie and Bre are amazing at what they do. They really care and invest a lot of loving energy into Bear. The training is really for the owner but they certainly build the communication with my dog! The progress we made is night and day !!!

Our Max is a rescue puppy. He is very sweet with no aggression, but he is extremely excitable. He would jump on people and other animals, , in play mode only but we did not want this bad behavior to continue and he pulled every hard on his leash too.We interviewed several trainers, some who we had to pay for a consultation. We finally found a trainer who told us what we needed for our new pup and the consultation was free. After Max's first day, we saw a real change in his behavior already. He just graduated after 5 sessions and we love the results. We know how to communicate with him to stop his excitable behavior around people and pets. We still have work to do, but nothing happens without being consistent and working with our pup, now that we have the training and tools to do so.Ray and his staff were extremely knowledgeable , patient, excellent teachers and you can tell how much they love animals.Sit Means Sit also provides the tools you need to purchase with 100 % guarantee of the items they sell.We are very happy with the results of Max's training .We highly recommend Sit Means Sit, Ray and his staff too.We look foward to Max's on going group sessions.Loretta & Peter McKeon

I highly recommend Sit Means Sit in Bordentown, NJ for obedience training, especially if you're a new dog owner. This program not only teaches your dog but also equips you with vital communication tools. Allie, Brie, and Tara, together, provide an excellent training experience. Within 5 weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in my puppy's behavior and my own understanding. Their expertise has positively impacted our daily routines. I appreciate the guidance they provided me during this transformational journey.
