Being up in the mountains you have to know where to look when you need some basic everyday items. Dales is one of those places. Everyone is nice and helpful. Blairstown is nice and this store is reflective of the culture. The survey I’m working on hasn’t given me the opportunity to explore the whole city, but it’s nice where I am currently. Now I going across the street to the Alpine Delicatessen and get some authentic Bavarian sauerkraut and the a coffe at the Blairstown diner where the first Friday the 13th was filmed. Dale’s market is a local legend. They have stellar ground pork, perfect for making sausage gravy; it is the best I’ve found around locally.Their sandwiches are amazing, they will customize for you and have plenty of choices. This store is a hub of convenience and options.All types of people come to shop here and when I hear from those passing through on rt-94 they bring up Dale’s it is almost always stated to be amazing, legendary, and wonderful.Do bear in mind, nobody is perfect and everybody has a bad day or a moment sometimes. I personally have never had a poor experience at Dale’s, but I sympathize with those who have had those negative experiences. I recommend returning to Dale’s often to get a more well-rounded experience, they really do have something special there, even if some cannot see that.

I like this deals Market much better than the one that's in Branchville. The food just is better. I got chicken and ribs both were very good. Staff was friendly and quick. This place has a fast turnover so you always are guaranteed fresh food.

If in Blairstown New Jersey and need to pick up some grocerys and or camp food this is a good place. It has a Country feel to it with nice employees.A great alternative to the much larger chain food stores that have taken over.I felt good supporting the local people and business and think you all should too!

It is a shame that Dale’s has gotten so bad. We had stopped going because they always got our sandwich orders wrongToday I decided to get subs for lunch. I don’t know why the bother writing down what you want if they don’t follow it.I got home and we are ready to eat lunch and all the subs are wrong.I shouldn’t have gone back but I figured it had been a while.It was a very disappointing experience.

Outstanding small town grocery market, real friendly service, a good selection of produce and grocery necessities. Known locally as having the best fried chicken in the area. The meat department features high quality products and the deli is filled with delicious prepared foods. UPDATE... still the best deli case in the area... try the Milano sub or some eggplant slices!! UPDATE...had a tremendous buffalo chicken stromboli today, coupled with two cannoli. Can't beat that for lunch!

Ordered just a simple bacon and egg from this place and stood around for 20 minutes waiting for the sandwich and when I go to ask where it is all I got was attitude. Absolutely terrible service with Maureen behind the counter and you can bet on the sandwich being wrong and they don’t care. Would leave a 0 star if I could

A small, locally owned "Mom and Pop" kind of store that has a little bit of just about everything. The deli is exceptional and the prices are surprisingly low. Nice to see a Market that hasn't been snuffed out by the huge corporations that are too often putting the American small business..out of business.

Bought two containers of sausage peppers and onions worst I've ever eaten in my life I don't know what kind of sausage it was supposed to be but it was like no other sausage I ever couldn't tell whether it was sweet mild or hot tasted like it was two months old after two bites I threw it away that's how disgusting it was

It's very disappointing to see Dale's on it downward slope. The owners no longer strive for excellence, simple things like fixing their card reader machine after countless complaints. Honestly since they're short staffed and owners are now working I'll be standing in line and watch people struggle to check out and yet they still do nothing. They're poor choices and paper coffee cups and never seem to be fully in stock or have lids that close or heat shields for your hands. These are basic things that every other coffee shop has catch up Dale's.

This is an excellent local market in Blairstown, NJ, my current home. What u see in this photo is an excellent semolina bread, off season on the vine decent tomatoes, their own homemade sausage, their own homemade vodka sauce (both of which can't be beat) and other fine produce. Oh, and a very extravagant purchase of fresh clams at a very good price. Haven't had them in over 2yrs. Those of you who know me will appreciate what a deprivation that is!

The store is VERY poorly run. Deli undercooks food, ask for extra onions on a sandwich and have 4 pieces of a sliced onion, disorganized shelves so you don’t know the price of something often times when shopping.
