I’ve been going to Mystic Ginger for about a year now and it’s safe to say I’ll never step foot in another salon again. Mystic Ginger’s quality and experience is UNMATCHED. I’m always greeted by my name and a smile when I walk in by Laura at the front desk. My hairstylist Kristen always delivers a fantastic experience with a thorough consultation, scalp massage while at the shampoo bowl, aromatherapy, and making recommendations based one what my hair needs without feeling pushy. The pricing is so fair, and honestly with the quality of work, I would pay more. Also, for my fellow members of the LGBT+ community, you will feel completely safe and secure with the ladies at Mystic Ginger. I cannot wait for my next appointment 🏻Service: Haircut

I can not say enough good things about Mystic Ginger. My stylist Dana is the absolute best. Everytime I go to get my hair done it always feels so stress free and calming. When I first started coming here my hair was bleached and fried. After every appointment my hair feels healthier and I feel so much more confident. All the other staff members/stylists are so sweet, and Laura gives out the best compliments. I love it here

This is one of my most favorite magical spaces to spend time! I have been to many hair salons over my life but Mystic Ginger is a ONE OF A KIND space! I have never felt more comfortable to be my authentic self when getting my hair done. Kellie is so very sweet as well as talented with color and cut. The girls who work with her are like a family and you can feel that!! The services that are offered are so unique and I’m pretty confident the services are ONE OF A KIND! The shop and apothecary & all of the products they have🤩I’m like a kid in a candy shop EVERY TIME I am there. They make products themselves and support local small businesses which I respect so much! There is such a special feeling when you walk through the door, it reminds me somewhat of a “fairytale” type of place! You need to stop in and experience it yourself, you’ll understand exactly what I am saying! 😉I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had a great experience here. Allison was wonderfully accommodating (I had several requests and she was cool with each one and even asked about others I hadn't brought up). She really listened to my needs and wants, gave me great tips for home care, and was really friendly to chat with during the process. I was totally anxious going in and she completely set me at ease, from start ro finish. In addition, the salon has a very warm, welcoming, chill vibe and all the stylists have great hair, themselves (of course!). Recommended!

Kelly did an amazing job on my hair. I got my very grown out dark roots made blond with blond highlights and caramel tones throughout and a Keratin treatment which came out perfect. She uses organic products which are very gentle on your scalp and hair and you can really tell the difference. She spent tons of time making sure it was great and the shop is fantastic. They have a variety of awesome things that they sell. Very laid back nice atmosphere. It’s taken me a long time to find a hair stylist that can work with the color of my hair and she did a great job.

I've bought products from Kellie for about a year. I love the tea, the bath soaks, and body/linen sprays. I got a haircut and she was a welcoming, friendly, talented, and AMAZING stylists. I only had to say what I wanted once and there was no complications. Her hair products are all organic and she also sells local artist pieces and her own organic Mystic Ginger Apothecary products made with herbs and essential oils! When you walk in the vibe is relaxing, with a ton of natural light and plants, and they serve tea and coffee! Highly recommend.

Kellie is a wonderful human, a magical and knowledgeable herbalist, and an extremely talented hair colorist. She has been my go-to hair guru for over 6 years and I am SO happy she finally has her own salon space. I am not someone who typically likes to spend time in a salon, but Mystic Ginger is so cozy and has a way of making me feel right at home. This is the place to go to treat yourself... and feel good about it! All of her hair products are organic and carefully chosen, and her herbal apothecary products work wonders.

Warning LONG review ahead: I reached out to Mystic Ginger quite some time ago on my quest to find someone that could cut curly hair. I had been cutting my own hair for YEARS because I never left a salon really satisfied once I had stopped straightening my hair. The owner made mention of stylist Kristen and life and the pandemic happened. Within the last few months I visited Holy Tomato and saw the color they picked for the new location. Really a top notch color that speaks perfectly of what you will find once inside. I made my appointment request online and got a call back and when I missed the call a text. For me that is my preferred method so I can look back and confirm what my brain has jumbled. The girl whose name I forget was very helpful, she was kind, and sweet. I got a confirmation email with lots of details! My favorite. When I got there, I parked in the now closed Rite Aid parking lot but there was on street parking. I walked in and was greeted by lots of smiling faces. I was immediately helped and checked in (I came about 10 to 15 mins early), and I helped myself to my favorite magazine, Natural Awakenings. One of the reasons I also don't like salons is that the lights are obnoxious and the smells are toxic. NOT HERE!! There is an earthy smell upon entering that I would associate with the color green. As if a succulent was going on a date and used succulent perfume. There are all the trimmings of local handmade goodies all about the front area, which I should have looked at but was too excited about them having the magazine.Kristen listened to what I said about my hair and what I was looking for in a cut. SHE HEARD ME and melted what I had tried to do in cutting it myself and actual know how into a really awesome haircut. It isn't awesome just because it looks good, no. It was crafted to my hair texture and curl pattern. I can diffuse it or not, I can pull it up or clip it back, I can do so much more with it now because of the shape and the cut of the curls and how they not only fall but because of how they are cut, they don't knot on the ends. I refreshed 3 days and washed on the 3rd night which is typical for me but normally my curls are so weighted and stretched out that my hair is basically straight and MEH.I would also like to add that I have gray hair coming in, and I didn't feel pressured to dye it. I was supported in the conversation that we had about it which is also important. Kristen also continually checked in with me about how I was feeling during my haircut and what direction I wanted to go in as far as styling and washing.That might sound silly but curly hair is so personal and this was such a personalized experience. I am just grateful to have had it be so positive.EVERYONE in these walls exuded an energy that was full of goodwill and not like anywhere I have ever been for a haircut. I would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone but especially Kristen to anyone that is looking for someone to cut their curly hair. My go-to shop for local, organic, homegrown products! The salves have become a staple in my skincare (especially in dry or colder months). Kellie has a wide variety of products for almost any need, and I always love seeing what she is coming up with next! It's evident that she pours her heart and soul into her work. She is extremely knowledgeable about any question I may have about a product and can steer me in the right direction if I don't know what I may need. Great customer service!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Kellie for over a year now and she is the best. I wear a lot of funky clothes and I like to have different, bold hairstyles. It’s hard to find a stylist who can do what I want without fear of being too crazy with it. Kellie is always honest with me on everything, because I know nothing about color or processes etc. She listens to what I want while also letting me know if it’s honestly possible or not. She’s also one of those people that just “gets” what you’re saying if that makes sense... whether you want something simple or dramatic like me she can do it, and that’s always been really important to me. The shop is beautiful, it’s really inviting and I always have good, positive interactions with people there. The products that she uses arent bad or damaging to my hair and I can tell. She’s done her homework on how things are supposed to be done, and I literally leave every time looking like a rockstar... Her apothecary is also another amazing talent and also overall just feels good to use. I love buying her salves and sprays as gifts for my friends and using them myself. They’re like little homemade potions she makes! I’m pretty sure all ingredients are hand foridged which is also pretty magical and they WORK. The cramp relief salve is amazing, I love the paw balm for my dogs dry paws, I use the clove spray everyday and it’s great for men and women. The bath salts she makes are also so amazing...I could keep going but I think you get my point, it’s all good and it’s healing and I highly suggest this spot.

This place is so much more then “just another salon.” It’s a sanctuary. You can relax and shop for local handcrafted items. They even have an entire Apothecary section. The girls are so sweet and so talented. I love it there.
